Empire Opening:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
The combined might of the Tribes was.. Scatter, to say the least. In fact, you four were chosen as Leaders because your four tribes were instrumental in uniting the forces of the Tribes under.. Mostly one group. A collective made from every tribe that could be gathered, meaning a council of over 200 people leading it.. IT’s bound to have some dissent and some issues.
But that’s where the natural brutality comes in.. And where you four come in. You four have free reign to do whatever you feel would advance the goals of the Tribes in repelling the invaders.. Namely, collecting troops to aid you, heading into the field to attack raiding parties, or doing other, more covert missions to assist you. You may team up, or split up, as needed… So pick your poisons, and enjoy your fun.
As of current, you are inside the main base of operations of the Tribes at this point. A gigantic stone temple hidden behind a waterfall in the heart of the Jungle region of the Tribes land. Tribal camps are strewn about the massive halls and in the rooms that once held worshipful masses paying fealty to an old god.. But now, only cracked flagstones, faded murals, and empty halls remain. Its secluded nature allows you to conduct operations safely, while also trading any spare gold you find for new weapons.. Or perhaps secrets you could find.
While you wait for instructions from the council, as that would be the default thing you could do if nothing else came to mind, three people come up to your group. One is a middle aged, strong looking warrior with a history of battles told by the scars strewn on her body. In order to allow you to parse through a great assortment of tasks at a time, the Council has ordained that anyone wishing to seek your aid must present you a written description of the task… And you are free to punish those that fail to follow the rules.
However, your attention snaps back to the paper handed you by the warrior woman. Apparently, a pack of rare monsters is terrorizing local foraging grounds, making it difficult to gather food and supplies for the massive undertaking that is organizing this many people into a fighting force.
The second Request made by a shy little boy, seems simple on the surface, but piecing together a larger story from further questions makes it more complicated. A group of Imperial soldiers raided a village, and took most of the people there as captives. They’re most likely going to be interrogated for information.. But the biggest problem is there may not need to be an interrogation at all. A captive of the Tribal village, an old Imperial explorer, was also freed by the raiding party.. Should they get the chance to reveal any information, this headquarters may have to be moved, thereby requiring a new task of finding a new one.. And this one would be hard to replace.
The last is a simple request, one made by a hard eyed old woman. Hunt down a group of scavenging Imperials using the old woman’s home as a base, and prevent them from feeding the Imperial army.
Which task, or however many tasks you choose to take.. Is up to you.

Empire Opening:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
“... And that, is our OBJECTIVE.”
The loud voice brings you all to attention, as General Rozanne Meller looks you over. You four are the captains chosen? Her expression says that she’s not really impressed…
You’re currently in the command tent, set up at the exact center of the Imperial Camp. You’re currently settled in a large plains area, perfect for preventing Tribes sneak attacks during the day. That was taken into deep consideration after a very vicious raid forced a total camp relocation, and you’re all still unsure of how the camp was set up. Your move was very recent, after all.
“It looks like you didn’t pay very much attention, did you? … Fine, I can’t blame you. You’ve been over this.. How many times? Three times? Thee time’s we’ve had to break camp to prevent Tribesmen from murdering us in our sleep? Pft. Fine.. Alright, I’ll give you a much briefer summary. You have three objectives, all of you. One.”
General Meller slams her hand down on the map, finger stabbing towards the location the camp is currently settled at.
“Aid any and all preparations in making this place a more permanent foothold in the Tribes region. Be that gathering materials, culling raids, adding to our supplies, capturing locals… The lot. We’ll need plenty of hands to help us feed and house these soldiers, Captains. Don’t fail me…. Now. Second.”
The General points towards the best estimated location of the enemy headquarters.
“Find their headquarters. Secretly, if you can, we don’t want them moving and having to do this whole damn dance over again. These tribes are vicious.. But if we cut off the ones keeping them together, then we’ll be golden. They’ll fall on each other again, and we can fight them piecemeal instead of having to deal with all of these murderous savages at once! And.. Last!”
The General points towards your personal Assistants, four up and coming Lieutenants named Anne Fische, Morgan Liege, Zana Hutch, and Kelsa Tezzen. She doesn’t seem to be referring to just these soldiers, though, as she says, “Help your subordinates! You’re strong, powerful, but you can’t fight an army alone. At least, I don’t think you can. A lot of the grunt work and fighting is going to be done by the less prestiged soldiers, and the mere fact they’re doing it with so few complaints is a testament to their willpower, and their loyalty to the Empire! Don’t make their jobs harder! If they come to you for help, hear them out, and try to do what you can while completing your other tasks. Hell, maybe you’ll find helping them is the best way to proceed!”
With a small chuckle, the General stands and moves over to the Lieutenants. With a sudden motion, she pushes them towards you, and grins happily. “Pick your poison, Captains. One each, no sharing. These girls will help maintain your personal tents, will sleep in the same tent as you, and hopefully will help keep you up to date on the state of the camp. Their first task is to escort you around this place, to make sure you know where everything is and what everything does.. And namely, where you’ll find your quarters. They’ll also show you where to find Soldiers looking for aid. You’re dismissed, soldiers. Happy hunting!”
The General goes back to studying her map as the only other people in the room look at you expectantly… But you really doubt the General is going to let you interrogate them to find out more about them! you’ll have to rely on luck to choose one that suits you.. And maybe, if you don’t get along, you can trade?...
However, if you want jobs to do, you’ll have to hurry. There’s not much time left in the day, and you’ll need to do all of this if you don’t want an earful from the General.. Again.
