Story~

You are all gathered in a small town on the eastern side of the continent. You've gotten word that the townsfolk are being harrassed by a band of goblins that hide in the hills and trees of the thin woods to the north of the town. They come once a week to raid the poor towns folk, stealing any children and women they catch in the streets. You stand in the towns church, pews pushed aside to allow free movement when not in use. A older human male looks upon the group with nervous eyes. He is far from withered but has a trimmed gray beard and sports an old weathered hat. His clothes aren't fancy but seem comfortable to him. He addresses you all as the Mayor of the town and explains the problem in detail. "The goblins come once a week, without warning, and at random times of the day. However the constant is that it is always seven days apart from each attack. We don't know where they take the women and children or what they do with them, or if they are even alive. We want you to clear out the goblins and rescue anyone who's alive. We don't have much left to pay you, but we still hope you will help us." He explains, waiting patiently for the groups reply.

Kira glances around at the other gathered members, listening to the Mayor's plight. She of course would gladly help out this village, though she wasn't sure about the other members of the gathered party. She wasn't racist (seeing as she was the only of her kind.) Centaur and Minotaur's don't really have the best reputation, or lizardfolk for that matter....Either way, she brings her long black cloak closer around herself, her tail swaying behind her, wings hidden beneath said cloak....She could definitly see why the mayor would be nervous. Maybe even by her the most? most people outside of the temple were freaked out by her apparence

Skiz'zik kept his hood up over his head as he listened to the mayor. This was his first mission on his own that he received from his group, and he didnt wanna disappoint them. He looked at the others he was with, he wasnt allowed to have aid from the group, that didnt include other beings from helping either. So long as he did get something out of it. He stepped forward to the mayor "I may be able to help you in defenssse sssir" he said politely and in a business manner. "i can offer you the ssservice of making trapsss around the town"

Goblins? Pah. Unworthy foes if any. Cargur gave a snort of slight frustration, hanging towards the back of the chapel, leaning against the wall near the door. His massive greataxe, as tall as he was and just as intimidating, rested against his side, the twin heads covered by a leather sleeve. Prevented him from using the sharp edges in town, at least- some sign that he was at least civil enough to not bear arms in an area populated with sentient humanoids. The bull had basically nothing to say- a tiny human, a lizardfolk, dragonkin and a centaur. The centaur looked like the only one that could truly put up a fight, though... The dragon might've been able to as well.

"Goblins are nothing. Nothing but sport." The massive, muscle-bound warrior spoke in a booming voice- though he was trying to use an inside voice. Troublesome. He rolled his shoulders, his banded mail audibly shifting upon his powerful form, before he pushed off the wall behind him. He could simply track them down by scent and destroy their home. Possibly save the people if they were still alive. Or in good enough condition for it. Who knew what those little bastards would do?

Siheria pulled up her scarf over her mouth as she looked down upon the older human male using it as muffler for the words she uttered under her breath "Figures humans would be scared against such weak, disgusting creatures." all she needed was the money, but to help humans for it...she should be disgusted with herself, at least she didn't have to assist whatever sorry excuse of a militia the town had, the rest of the people here looked competent.

Listening to the lizard speak she ran a hand through her hair scratching the back of her neck, "What? you want to wait for them to come to us? One set of traps won't hold against however many there are" she tried to keep her tone civil but it came out more snide than anything, she had never used traps they were unneeded in the tribe why should it be different here? her ears flattened against her head as the minotaur spoke, if there was one thing she hated about having horse ears it was how annoying such noisy creatures were "While i agree with you, perhaps we could speak in less of a headache-inducing voice?" she shot a glare at the beast-man wondering if this was going to be a permanent thing while working here.

The old man frowned a little at the reluctance everyone around showed for his towns plight. He sighed woefully at the lizardman's, suggestion. "There are too many for simple traps to stop them, as the umm, lady, mentioned." He said with a nervous tone. It seemed one could cut the tension in the air with a knife, had they one on their person. "Traps also wont help those that were taken." He explained befre turning his gaze onto the minotaur. "It's rare for goblins to act so organized so perhaps a stronger foe leads them? Please, I know I said the reward was to be small, but I'm sure a band of goblins would have some treasure in their possesion. Please help our town!" He exclaimed piteously.

"Never said I wasn't going to help." Cargur said, before hefting his axe over his shoulder. "I'll bring their leader's head within the week."

It was all he had to say- brief fellow. He didn't like staying in towns too long, mostly because mobs with axes, pitchforks and torches tended to form if he wandered about. Most didn't like minotaurs in the slightest- the others were at least tolerable to smaller races. Hooves thudding heavily upon the (assumed) wooden floor of the chapel, he'd just head right on out, waiting out the front for whoever wished to join him. If he could catch the scent of a goblin, then all would be well.

"Hmph, one week, in for the long-haul are we?" Siheria scoffed at the minotaur, at least he had the right idea of how to present evidence of the completion of their deed, with nothing more that couldn't be settled outside the holy temple she headed outside, and thankfully away from the annoying old man, if he begged anymore with his 'small reward' she was going to end up getting rid of him, it would certainly solve the problem of her headache.

Once back outside she breathed in deeply glad to be back in the open, crossing her arms she looked around, much better than the church in all aspects, nothing much to do she clicked her hooves on the ground, absently checking her bow, maybe the church was better in hindsight, at least in there she wasn't stuck with no one but the minotaur around, with a few test glances she sighed fully turning to the beast-man "Guess we should, uh, get to know each other, huh? i'm Siheria of the Ronime tribe" she rubbed her neck as she spoke, while she had experiences with minotaurs they weren't good ones, raids on their camps, attempted rape, skirmishes with other tribes, more often than not when the tribe saw a minotaur it was shoot first, ask questions later, but this one looked like it could hold a conversation if albeit loud though.

Samantha looked over at Siheria at the mention of Humans being weak, "I take offense to that." She said, looking at the others, "WHat a group, huh? Here we are, a bunch of different fellows after some goblins." She said and looked about, "This shouldn't be hard with a minotaur in our group, we just find the goblins, brutalize them, have them tell us where they're keeping the women and then be on our way." She laughed, "How can this be any easier? Why have the goblins be right outside of the building, that's what. You can't get any better than that, I don't think you want to get any better than that..." She said to them, "Now then, introductions....I am Samantha Surika, pleasure meeting you lot."

Cargur... Didn't hear Samantha! Strange how he wasn't paying attention to her, seeing as he'd already stepped outside. However, the centaur, he did not ignore. After all, she'd approached him- and surprisingly, she wasn't being too aggressive, even if she was rather snide. "Cargur Gorehowl... Pleasure to meet you." He spoke the last part after quite a pause- either from contemplation or from hesitation. However, he didn't sound reluctant. "Yes, in for the long haul. Don't know where the goblins are yet. Plus... Sooner we get it, sooner he gets impressed and we can leave."

Strange. It almost sounded like he thought the plan out.

Kira followed the others as they left the church, listening to the others introduce themselves. This was quite the interesting group to say the least, at any rate she would pull back the hood of her cloak exposing her curved horns and shimmering blue scales better "I'm Kira, a cleric of Bahamut. Pleased to make everyone's acquaintance~" she would say in her sweet sounding voice, the seven foot and a half foot dragoness was definitely more intimidating when she was quiet....

After hearing what the mayor and the others had to say kept his gaze at the mayor "any idea on what direction they are in?" Skiz'zik asked. He knew if they were downwind from the town that it would be hard to get a scent anyhow and that asking for directions was probably the best anyhow. His tail swaying to the side as he watched the others leave "i know my trapsss probably arent gonna get them all sssir, but they would at leassst ssslow them down inssstead of being overwhelmed by them." He knew minotaurs had great strength but more often or not, they werent very intelligent and able to see the point of strategy. Humans were okay to him since he more or less dealt with them, probably more than anyone other than the human in the group. Centaurs he actually never really saw but heard that they were great hunters. The dragon-like lady in the game, he wasnt sure on this one but to be sure he was gonna give time to tell what his opinion on her would be.

After asking the mayor he simply leaned against the wall and waited for his answer.

Dman: The old man shakes his head. "We have already tried to lay traps, we would not ask for aid unless we truly needed it. We are a poor settlement." The man then pointed north when you ask where they come from. "They always come from the north within the forest." He explained.

Everyone: Eventually you find yourselves outside waiting to decide your next course of action. Stay the night? Or press on into the woods. It is currently mid-day, so there is plenty of sunlight to work with.

"Likewise, Kira."Cargur rolled his shoulders, thinking for a moment. The problem, at present, seemed to lay in that they hadn't a single clue where the blasted goblins were. Somehow, he doubted anyone would share information with a minotaur if they even had it- information such as which way they at least came from or fled to. A sigh escaped the massive bull, before he gave a shake of his head. "None yet. I'd have to walk around town, try to catch the scent that way. Either way, we're burning daylight just standing here. Action's needed." Hefting his greataxe over his shoulders, the minotaur would set off walking into the town, occasionally snorting much like an actual bull as he tried to catch the scent of goblins.

Not like it would earn him any extra stares, doing that.

The big dragon morph nodded her head in response to the minotaur, and seeing as he was the only one that aknowlged her she decided she'd follow him in his hunt. "So uh...usually don't hear of minotaur's helping out others, it's usually just stories of crush and kill and such." she would say, hoping she wasn't being rude or such, though she really didn't have much room to talk on that matter, considering she was in part a blue dragon....

Cargur gave a derisive snort at Kira's words, shaking his head. "Not all minotaurs are so brutish. I'm the only exception of my tribe, however." Another roll of his massive shoulders. He certainly looked the part of a brutish minotaur, however, clad in such heavy steel and wielding such a giant axe. Everything about him was big, really- including those horns of his... "I don't hear much of dragons helping people either. Let alone centaurs and lizards. What talents do we have to speak of? I'd prefer to know now than when we're in a bind."

As some of you seem to be getting on with things, young person, about the size of a half-ling approaches your group. You can't quite tell if it's a boy or a girl, especially under all of it's old handmedown gear. You can see it's face. A tiny little fang tip poke out from it's upper lip, pale red skin and black eyes. The child wore a very worn patched up set of leather armor. It also had a backpack, a worn out short sword that is almost ready to start rusting and a chipped light wooden shield with a crudely made short bow with a quiver of crude arrows. The child sported a hood the hide it's ears, neck, and hair. The only skin you see on the child is it's face, which with a better look, is absolutely adorable! The child suddenly gets a look of desperate determination. Holding it's hand up in front of itself it crouched a little. "A-are you guys adventurers here to help the Town?" It said in a high childish voice. You still can't seem to tell if it's a tomboyish girl, or a girly boy.

Skizzik saw the child as he determined which way the wind was coming from. "yessss young one" he said as he crouched down to its level in a quiet and friendly tone. He then looked up to the minotaur "my ssspecialty is infiltration and sssetting trapsss." he continued "i alssso ssspecialize in flanking the opponentsss" He then turned back to the child "isss there sssomething i can help you with young one?" he kindly asked.

Staying mainly behind the minotaur to avoid the brunt of his voice Siheria tried to keep to herself before it was her turn talk "Me? well anything within two hundred fifty feet is...dead...cause..."Siheria's description of what she could add to the group drifted off as she looked down at the small child, it was actually kinda cute, the look of determination it wore reminded her of when she was young, when she would craft her own 'bows' to practice shooting with the elder centaurs, but it looked a lot more prepared for combat then she was at her younger years.

Leaning down best she could to get a look of the thing she listened to the lizard speak, is that how one should treat children? she had no clue how to deal with kids, she was never herded with the other females to serve as mares for the men and raise children she was too proud to submit to that kind of fate, perhaps she should just treat it as another fully grown race? cocking her head to side she tried to keep her voice clear of all the hostility it normally carried as she added on to the lizard's question "though you look capable of doing anything you want without our help" she tried her best to smile as not to seem too imposing.

Kira nods softly, bringing the holy symbol of Bahamut out of her cloak " I'm a cleric of Bahamut, I'm strong enough, and posses gifts from my dragon heritage~ I'm also a very good healer. " She would smile, delicately returning the symbol of bahamut back into her cloak.
