Before long the summer had once more faded into the short memory of young adults furthering themselves along their journey in education. It was the final year, senior year, a time to make new friends, a time to say good bye before setting off on one's own. It was a beautiful sunny day, early September. In the busy outskirts of St. Anne's, a private school for the elite begins to open doors, the traffic slowly rolling up the private entrance to the round-about dropping off their precious cargo.

It was a school for the elite for many reasons, its high GPA of graduates, and university placement rate second to none in the city. It was called the St. Marie's School for young proteges, a school that put as much pressure as any if not more. On all four sides of the school the yard was enclosed, fine brown brick walls covered in the ivy of a century's growth. The grounds were of trimmed grass, with the occassional patter of fine granite benches and tables for an outdoor lunch if the students so pleased.

The building itself was not of grand proportions, though it's architecture was not to be out done. The building itself was of white sandstone, finely carved and shaped into the impressive facade of a baroque styled building. It was here where students were meeting each-other yet again, some new, some old, laughing and playing in the field as the last of the minutes ticked away from summer. To and fro teachers were walking in final preparation.

Dax sits on a bench quietly reading some manga online on his laptop. It was his favorite ,"Highschool of the Dead". He had a huge crush on Saeko and had a huge poster of her in his room at home and he wished he was there,"Damn school. I wish this would happen here. It would make this last year soo much more interesting." He said to himself.

As if summoned from the realms of the undead itself, a teacher slowly approaches behind Dax, his feet dragging noisily along the loose gravel in the sitting areas, hands out to each side as he lumbered towards the student. With a super hard and loud thunk, the man sat down next to Dax, pulling a cigarette from one pocket, bringing it to his lip. He glanced down to Dax, his brown eyes sunken into dark bags. He looked exhausted, almost dead.

"Dax, long time no see?" he said with a dry raspy voice as he begun to lit his cigarette. He wasn't that old of a teacher, probably in his middle twenties, a feat in itself considering how last minute he did everything. "Still reading comics as always I see?" he said quickly as he continue to fiddle with the flint of his lighter. He grew tired of it and threw the lighter aside, before putting the cigarette behind his long brown hair, bleached unconventional colors despite the school's uptight protocol on teacher's appearance.

"I got a bit of a task for you. I want you to grab one of your classmates, and bring the new girl to the home room, try and get to know her ok?" he said.

"Jumping Jack Flash! You scared the crap out of me!" He shouted as his teacher sat beside him,"Yes sir I`ll do that." He says hiding his blush at the comic he was reading was a little dirty escpecially that chapter! He quickly gathers his things and looks for Cassie and the new girl people were already gossiping about.

The teacher stood up and grabbed him by the collar, a wry smile playing out across his lips, as he raised his eye brows. In a quiet, almost inaudible whisper he spoke to the student in a serious manner, "Also, what was that you were reading? Totally send me a link to that later" he said, running a rough hand through the student's hair, messing it up in the process. "That being said, we are supposed to meet the new girl at the front office, so might as well head in that direction" he spoke aloud, as if to remind himself more than inform the student. He slung his coat over his shoulder and walked with the student, through thick oaken double doors into the main lobby of the school. Inside was enormous, the floors of a black-grey marble catching and playing with the light flung from a brass chandelier above. Just immediately standing across from the receptionist was the nervous transfer student.

She stood there clad in the colors of the school, a simple grey kilt with red and green lines running along the fringe in a criss cross pattern that met around with itself once more. Her blouse was but a simple white shirt, over which a simple sleeveless vest of solid dark wool was in place, a crest over one breast. "That would be the new girl" the teacher said in a whisper, "I think her name was Claire or something like that" the man said, rubbing the back of his head with one hand, obviously not one to remember names.

Claire looks around. She spots the teacher and the student. She smiles, waves, and then walks over to them. She is wearing a backpack with the school crest on it. Once she reaches the two her smiels turns into a frown, her normal face.

"It`s called Highschool of the Dead and you can find it at most online manga sites free... the anime is better." He says still blushing alittle that he was cuaght reading it as he followed hin to the front office and spotted an absolutely gorgeous girl standing there nervously,"Needs purple hair..." He mutters to himself thinking of Saeko as he held out a hand to her,"Hey! My name is Dax and it looks like I`m going to be showing you around. Lucky me! It`s Claire right?" He asks not sure if he teacher was right since he seemed to not know himself almost like he was guessing.

Claire nods yes. She shakes Dax's hand. She smiles at him and then frowns again. She withdraws her hand and then stares at the ground. She stands there awkwardly.

Ryan gave his student the dirtiest look, as if he could read every syllable of mistrust the student had of him as he said "Claire". He sighed a deep breath walking over to the receptionist of the school, giving her a thumbs up and a smile as he neared the fine wooden counter top. Leaning over he spoke to her in the sweetest of voices, "Hey there sweetheart, how about giving Cassie a ring on the intercom, tell her to come and meet the new transfer student and bring her to her homeroom." he said with smile.

The receptionist was not a very tall lady by an means, and sitting in the small rolling chair only obscured her more, only her bright red hair showing over the top of the counter. She wasn't the prettiest person by a long shot, but her figure and charm managed to grab the attention of a lot of the teachers, and sometimes the students themselves. "Now why would I do that for so bad a teacher as yourself?" she said. Just as Ryan was about to answer she cut him off, "No need to shoot yourself in the foot again, you did that plenty last night."

With a quick hand gesture she pulled the phone off the hook, setting it to the intercom, "Would Cassie from 12-C come to the front, we got a student looking for you" she said in her usual cheery voice.

"Claire what can a guy do to keep that pretty smile around?" He asks with a charming smile and while he waits for an answer he looks at Ryan wondering what the receptionist was talking about then says,"You want Cassie the gloom queen to help show her around?" He says a little surprised.

Claire blushes a bit as her smiles is complimented. She smiles and giggles quietly. She then realizes that this man could possibly be hitting on her. She frowns and then rubs her eyes.

Sandy gave out a small aww as she watched from behind her counter. "Ah what it is to be young" she said romantically. The teacher laughed and leaned in closer to her, "I can make you feel younger if you know what I mean?" he said with a wink, before being pushed off balance and landing flat on his ass. "Oh common baby, you know I was kidding" he said with a bit of a scowl. They continued to watch the scene as it unfolded in a bit of an awkward manner. What it was to be young indeed, Ryan thought with a bit of a laugh as he continued to rest seated on the ground.

Claire turns around when she hears the teacher fall. She runs over to him and helps him up. She asks quietly, "Are you okay?"

"The lady has a cute laugh too! Wait why did you stop smiling? Did I say something wrong?" He asks frowning then says,"Well I`m supposed to get to know you its part of the job so what can you tell me about yourself?" He sees Ryan fall and then moves to help him up,"Come on get up you. Your worse than me."

He continued to sit against the fine wood of the counter, his ass numb to the cold uncaring marble floors. The new girl ran over, leaning over to give him a hand, her top buttons undone doing nothing but distracting the teacher from the topic at hand. She had a bit of cleavage, he thought to himself, before pushing the thought into the deepest part of his mind, the part where things that were unfit for a teacher to think about went. He shook away her hand, as he picked himself up off the ground, "No no, it is my punishment for having offended Sandy over there" he said making a big show of it all. Dusting himself off he looked over to his other student, "It is harder to be worse than you, after all I don't get caught doing things in school" he said with a bit of a barb to his tongue. "Sandy, page the girl again, I have a feeling she didn't hear it" he said with concern on his face. Cassie had a habit of getting into trouble, or rather, the others like to give her trouble.

Claire blushes again as she is complimented once again. She tries her best to pull Ryan up, but she is too weak. Instead she her hand slips off of his and her momentum causes her to fall as well. Claire's eyes widen as she hits the ground with a loud THUD. Her eyes begin to water as she feels the pain. She wipes her eyes, but stays sitting on the ground. (If it wasn't clear enough, she landed on her ass. XD. Okay. Thae's post just ruined mine, but I'll just say this happened before Ryan helped himself up.)

Dax quickly helps her up taking her hand and lifting her up,"You okkay? That looked like it hurt! And tears don`t look well on a face as pretty as yours Miss Claire." He says with a slight smile ignoring Ryan`s remark and decides to shoot back,"School hasn`t started yet!"

"Jesus, you better run off Dax before your stupidity catches any further, seems like Claire and I are falling all over ourselves, ironic since you are the one falling here." he said as a double entente. With one strong hand gesture he heaved the girl to her feet, dusting off the back of her skirt with light taps from his coat. "Who is your home room teacher this year anyway?" he inquired. He looked at his watch quickly, jiggling to make it move face up. This was weird, Cassie was usually a timely student, what could be taking her so long, he though to himself once more.

Claire continues to tear up. She starts to grab Dax's hand before Ryan pulls her up. She shrugs as she is asked the question. She starts to dust herself off before realizing that Ryan was already doing so.

(Definitly helped her up first x.x) "Miss it should be in your schedule. Maybe you`ll luck out and we`ll have the same homeroom so you`ll no someone at least." He says with that same smile of his shooting a glare at Ryan,"Shush!" He said a blush forming on his cheeks again.
