(before the crash)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Vector flips through the Science Magazine issue he's reading along the way, occasionally having a peek inside his portfolio of Impact Revolver blueprints and design documents. He'd been called for by Spade and Edge Cybernetics to aid with and supervise the development of a foot-based form. Something to allow enhanced mobility in a man with prosthetic legs. Pays well, too...
All of a sudden, he feels a bump from the train, an abnormally intense one. Odd...these trains don't make bumps like that...and then, he hears a loud, high-pitched screech as they enter the next tunnel, and the last thing he sees before blacking out, are the red emergency lights flickering on...
(and now, to the REAL start...)
When Vector regains consciousness, he is no longer inside the train. Instead, he's sprawled out on the floor - or rather, the ground - surrounded by corpses, strewn around with various splotches of blood on the walls and ground. Impulsively, he checks himself for injuries, and doesn't seem to find any...well, none worth concern, anyways. He then recalls what happened before he was knocked out...it would seem that the train derailed, with obviously catastrophic results. Is anyone else alive here?
Why yes, yes there is. One man near him is still among the living, and conscious to boot. Though, it would appear that he came back to reality no sooner than Vector himself did. Might as well make sure he's in decent enough condition...
"You alright there, sir?"
