Alice grew up in a refugee settlement on planet Orionis (pronounced "Oh-REE-AH-ness"), established as a safe haven for those who wished to flee a war between the "Reptilix" (lizard-people) and "Sapiat" (humanoids) factions. Her father was 98% human, and her mother was 86% reptilian, which makes her roughly a 53/47 split between the two races. The two factions would fight their wars with children that they abducted, then transformed into super-soldiers through cybernetics and mutation. The settlement was safe for a time, but their guards were always training people in self-defense, in preparation for any attack on their safe haven.
That attack came all too soon, as both Reptilix and Sapiat decided to force every refugee in the settlement to either fight with them or die. Alice's parents, however, were not given a choice, as the Sapiat war-chief that was going to question them, was suddenly attacked by Reptilix scouts. Their shots were not aimed well, unfortunately, and struck Mr. and Mrs. Dane instead of their intended target. Mistaking Alice for one of their enemies, the scouts moved in to strike her down...and then, it happened.
Alice's vision became saturated with a deep, angry red, and she flew into a blood rage, taking the scouts' bladed weapons, and cutting down Reptilix and Sapiat soldiers alike. She struck down war-chiefs on both sides, along with the Reptilix commander-in-chief, then passed out from exhaustion as her fury subsided. She hated it, this unprovoked assault, spurned only by impatience and racism. The people cheered her on as a war hero, but death is no longer her goal...she seeks only to unite the peoples of this galaxy under one banner of peace and understanding, and scorns every moment when violence springs up over petty discrimination. It's time that someone took action, that someone stood against the norm of racism and proclaimed its error.

Established by the survivors of her settlement, Domhani is pledged to its founder's core desire: to end the strife that discrimination brings, and to preach the message of equality and understanding to the world. Occasionally, internal disputes crop up; often due to someone in politics showing a bit too much opposition to another faction, and attempting a coup d'etat for the necessary force of arms. In all its history, however, Domhani has thwarted every attempt at a coup or rebellion, the latter preferably settled with peace talks. Their military strength is purely defensive, as they much prefer to settle disputes in peaceful ways. Provoke their wrath, however, and Domhani's capable soldiers will make their skills far more obvious than what may be wished.

Size: Small, but well-guarded, and with aspirations of becoming the cornerstone of a much larger, peaceful society.

The capital city of Domhani, built into the side of a mountain, and a symbol of everything the nation stands for. It serves as a safe haven for refugees of any race, much as Alice's old settlement on Orionis did, and every law of the land (aside from the standard laws of morality) stems from the one fundamental principle of "all peoples created equal." Every citizen receives equal treatment under the law, be they human, fur-coated, scaly, feathered, or any mix of such, and they all live together in harmony. Defenses are focused more on the longer ranges, aiming to strike down assailing forces before they can get too close to either Liberta, or the surrounding populace of Fortitudo (we'll get to that). To appease those who become..."jumpy" on the defense lines, Liberta holds annual mock-battle tournaments, which also provide classic entertainment for the inhabitants.

Name: Fortitudo.
Size: Small, but not without ample defenses. The mountainside location of its capital also helps.

If Liberta is the heart and mind of Domhani, then Fortitudo is the hands, feet, and voice, which allow it with proper means to operate. This is where the bulk of the economics, agriculture, and unique craftsmanship is found. It encloses Liberta in an arcing pattern, and is protected by a large defensive wall, manned by a number of point-defense and medium-range batteries. Given Domhani's preference for peaceful resolution, however, those defenses are more often used in segments of the mock-battles for "defensive marksmanship" rounds.
