This thread is dedicated to the Angels versus Demons roleplay.
Here we can work on the story and on the world, as well as kinking out the flaws.

The player is firstly given the option to choose either a demonic character or an angelic one, after which the two groups will team up with each other. The roleplay will begin with a little speech by their corresponding deity, before they are set loose on the plane of heaven.

The story up until now:
First of all, you should know that god and satan are just two all-powerful entities living in perfect harmony, like yin and yang.
Satan was female, God was male. God wanted to please Satan by creating a race similar to themselves, and created mankind. He first made the heavens, where the souls of mankind could live with satan and god. These souls, however, could be modified easily by the sheer will of both entities. Slowly, god began to show signs of greed as more and more souls got created. He noticed that these souls could be used in all sorts of ways, including battle.
Satan noticed how suddenly some of God's souls had began to fight some of her own, and was horrified. How could such aggressiveness happen in paradise? She spoke to god and together they made earth, where all new souls first had to go through a certain trial period before they came to the plane of heaven. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it proved to be only temporary; for gods greed soon turned out to be insatiable.
That's where you come in. You guys are either a skirmish team from Satan or a special forces team from god, both send on a mission deep behind the enemy lines.

About the system:
god will have high-powered, militaristic angels willing to do anything he says; and with these rather persistent walking tanks he tries to conquer the plane of heaven.
satan will have a whole lot of small demons, very loyal to Satan but still with a mind of their own. They'll just do whatever they pretty well please when Satan doesn't need them.

The current situation demons outnumber angels with about 7 to 1.
This does not mean, however, that demons will have the upper hand; for the more numerous either side gets the weaker a single soul of that faction becomes, thus making 1 angels as strong as 7 demons.

Demons and Angels get their power from their deity, by eating special food made in the halls of their respected deities. Eating more food will make one stronger, and this is exactly how angels got so strong (less mouths to feed). When a soul does not consume this so-called 'Nectar' they will lose their powers just like dehydration/malnutrition, until they collapse. When left without Nectar for another two days they will turn into ghouls, which feast on souls instead. (much like really fast zombies, but without chance of infection)

When a demon or angel eats more Nectar then is needed, their body will permanently store its energy into small enhancers, thus augmenting the body. (think armor and bonus limbs as well as enhanced stats etc.)

Demons work in groups, and only the Captain is given enough Nectar for the party to survive with. Completing missions will reward surplus Nectar needed for various enhancements.
Angels usually tend to work alone, and are given a small pouch with Nectar to survive with. Again, completing missions will reward surplus nectar.

Both Angels and Demons come in various shapes and sizes. Both start off rather small and insignificant, and grow bigger and tougher the more Nectar they consume.
They start off a certain 'danger rank' as well, and increase their rank by eating Nectar. These ranks are indicated by numbers as well as Titles.
