The water begins to settle, a lot less liquid in the beaker than you had put in. The missing water is made up for by the thick goo-like substance, but there is still some diluted water left.

Using your tools, you grab a piece of the goop and begin holding it directly above a lit burner. The substance burns and releases a foul odor... nothing useful seems to result from this.

"I think we can use this liquid to stun are pray and kill them. It should burn up in the cooking process so it should be safe to eat.
