Jin shivered, seeing the flame on her palm transmute from red, to blue, to purple. She was of an Iievyr of the sun's bright orange, but this color... it was the insignia of her parents. Suddenly feeling soggy with emotion, she looked to her left -- toward the grassy hill of her childhood. For years, she'd spent nights atop that knoll, overlooking this town in silence. She clenched her fist, tightly toward her chest. The twin auroras of light and color wretched a bittersweet smile from her lips. There stood the twin essences of nature... so much like her parents. This was not her wagon, but she'd agreed to tend to it for the journey, in exchange for some space on it. She pulled the reins into her hands, seeing the carts again begin to roll forward systematically. She gave the reins a little toss, and the horse began to trot forward. The cart lurched again, and began to roll onward...
