Mechanics scurry around the hangard, preparing the mechs stored there for the battles to come. They appear to be paying very close attention to the machines, trying to make sure that they are the best they can be

Mess hall

As everyone chats about strategy, you overhear murmours coming from other diners. Some are looking forward to the chance to face the Clans, others are not rating their chances of survival. Overall though, there is a feeling of optimism over the Precentor marshal's grand plan. There are even questions of mercenary contracts that would open up for teams that prove strong enough to take down the Clans

Garian stopped and looked up at the sound of the Door Chime, he put his guitar away and moved towards the door and looked outside to see what's going on.

The door slid open, revealing a young woman in a clean pressed uniform and weaing an officer's cap. She appeared to be part of the command staff on base, probably a junior officer. She gave a polite smile to Garian before holding out a dataslate. "Baron Jorell? I've been asked to forward these orders on to you" she said in a sweet voice

Garian looked at her and smiled warmly at her, "Thank you, madam, send my regards back." He told her and as he took the dataslate, he looked her in the eyes and said, "And maybe you and I can chat a little later?" He asked with a chuckle, meaning it as a joke.

The woman gave a little chuckle and nodded. "Maybe. I'll relay your regards back to the Precentor Marshal. Good day, Baron Jorell". She cave a crisp salute, before turning and marching off in the direction of the command centre

Dataslate

The dataslate contains orders to be at a specific location before dawn on the 1st June. It looks like the area that he had scouted over the last couple of days, with rolling hills and light woods to the west, and sparse wood to the east with more rolling hills with a commanding view to the east

Garian returned the salute and then read the Dataslate, he looked it over again and again and sighed with a smile, "Before dawn, huh? Well, I guess I can wake up early." He said to himself and closed the door, walking towards his bed and picking up his guitar. He sat on the bed again and played it, the song he played this time was softer, sadder. Upon finishing, he'll go to sleep.

Duo listened around to the groups that were off in the distance. did they not have faith in all of the pilots?

Viper walks up to her warhammer and nods to a few mechanics she bumps into on the way. "I'll run a system check and be out of your hair? that all right?" She poke to one of the mechanics near her mech.

Jason woke up with a start. After stretching, yawning, and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he peered out of his mech. He immediately saw Viper talking with one of the mechanics. He stood up and waved to her. "Hey, Viper? How's it going, beau- Uh, Viper?" He said sleepily, nearly forgetting the "You will call me Viper" rule.

"I'm running some system checks on my mech." She called back tired.

Jason, ignoring the tired tone in her voice hollers back. "Yea, just took a nap in mine! Gotta tell ya, pretty comfortable... So listen, I think we got off on the wrong foot, yea?"

As comfortable as he is sleeping in the Styx's cockpit, Zandile is a bit of a light snoozer. As such, he wakes up after the 3-4 hours he normally finds sufficient, and peers out of his cockpit's open canopy, spotting Viper and Jason talking about something. He won't interfere in their conversation, but he does watch the scene carefully, in case any violent behavior breaks out. As much as he'd like to sock Jason hard for his earlier bigotry, that aggression is best saved for the Clanners...besides, the runt has gotten him into enough trouble already.

"Jason we're going to always be on the wrong foot until I see a reason why that should change."

"Well, that's why I'm talking to ya, Viper. I say we start over, ya? Try again with a clean slate." Jason puts on his best used-car-salesman smile.

Duo slowly walked to join his comrades in the hanger watching them run checks then turns to jason "i see youre finally awake"

Jason tips his imaginary hat to Duo. "Morning, Duo. Or is it afternoon? Evening?"

"its only been about an hour or so" duo said before turning to viper "need any help?"

"The answer is no. I don't do clean slates... and I've been given no reason to give you one." Viper turned from Jason, and went into her mech and began running system checks.
