The idea that Empee might be blind dawned on Sander when he noticed her milky white eyes and her behavior. The new realization only left him with a new puzzle though, as to why she wore glasses. Still, for once he managed to apply some tact to his behavior and refrain from asking her about it. This changed the situation quite a bit. He pocketed the parchment since she couldn't help him with something she could not perceive. It seemed however she had knowledge about something else that could prove useful. This 'item world' was something completely new to him. He couldn't help but to give in to his curiosity this time. "Hello Empee. Uhm, I'm called Sander", he said, slowly approaching Empee, "yes, I'd really appreciate it if you explained this item world to us".

Delzia groans as the two mages quickly try to get information out of Empee. "Fine i'll leave you two mages study i prefer learning a little more hands on. i'll go see what happened to everyone else that was meant to of shown up for the Overlord's call." Muttering to herself she quickly goes to take her leave of the library

Delzia
As you wander down the silent hallways, you feel the urge to take pause by a particular doorway. It is made of strong, yet old black painted wood. You test the door to see if it is unlocked, and the knob twists freely, the door creaking softly as it slowly swings open. Inside the room seems a bit bleak. There a few chains and other devices that seem useful for holding someone down, however it lacks the poingant decrepidness that is the norm for most dungeons or torture rooms. Whatever this room is, it obviously hasn't been used in a long time, yet is feel so alive. Your attention quickly falls onto some kind of pedestal with a spherical object placed upon. However, the object is currently covered up by a blank white sheet, you'd have to enter the room and uncover it for any further inspection.

Sander
Empee turns her head towards you and murmurs, "Sander..." Almost as if making a mental note for herself. Straightening up and tapping against the center of her glasses in a very business-like manner she begins reciting information. "Ah.. yes. The item world is a chaoticly generated realm that exists within every crafted object. In a sense, the item world is the very "soul" of your equipment. Countless numbers of element come into play in determing what these worlds are like, from materials used to craft the item, to the personality of the crafter, and even how the item has been used. However, by going into these realms, one may actually encounter a useful type of demon known as "specialists". Specialists are born from the elements within these items, and as such they actually passively empower the item they live within. However, they are quite unruly and tend to lash out violently towards anyone that invades upon their territory, it is only by subduing them that you can begin to utilized their abilities. Subdued specialists may be manipulated by trained professionals, such as myself, and can be moved from one item into any other. By amassing many specialists and combining their power, you can super charge you or your allies' own items. The item would can be a very dangerous place to go, it's best to have a friend or two along with you to help you along your journey. All kinds of strange dimensions are linked to all of the items in existance, and sometimes you may stumble into some strange situations as you explore your own item."

Delzia Sighs with boredom as she glances around the hallway. as she opens the door to the room she can't help but mutter to herself "What am i doing..." The sight of the room leaves her trying to regain her senses as she peers about it. "What the hell is this place? why isn't it locked?" Taking note of her situation she deices curiosity leads to more answers than a timid mind. she walks in confidently at first. each step further into the floor and towards pedestal causing her to get more and more cautious with her steps. Upon reaching the pedestal it takes her a minute or two for her to finally and very quickly in case she changes her mind mid way through the action to yank the cloth away her eyes full of fear and wonder as she gazes upon what she may of found.

Draco is caught by surprise when Empee reveals her eyes. A blind woman working in a library? That must be tricky. After a moment, however, he realises that she might not have as much trouble with it as it seems at first glance - it's probably safe to assume that anyone who moves around on ambulatory vines like that isn't limited to normal methods. He still can't guess how she'd be able to tell books apart, but that doesn't mean that she can't do it anyway.

He is slightly disappointed to hear that she can't tell him much about the library, but her description of the Item World more than makes up for that. After all, he can search the bookshelves on his own easily enough. "Nice to meet you, Empee. I'm Draco." He turns to look at Sander for a moment, trying to judge the other mage's reaction, then continues, "You said you are a 'professional'. Does that mean you could open a portal to an Item World for us? And would two of us be enough?" The new information has left him with something of a dilemma: on one hand, he still wants to see what he can find here in the library; on the other hand this Item World sounds very interesting, and it's not like the books are going anywhere.

Sander listens attentively as Empee explains the concept of the item world. The concept was very intriguing. It seems there will be a lot to learn, and some interesting benefits to exploring the item world. Maybe he could find some answers in the item world of his book, if it had a item world that is. There seems to be quite a few dangers to exploring an item world, but with the three of them they should be alright. Wait a minute, where did that succubus go? Ahh well, hopefully two mages will be enough, Sander thought for himself. Besides, a way to increase their power was really tempting for Sander. "You said 'any crafted item', that includes books right"? He added to Draco's questions.

Delzia
The secret object hidden beneath the cloth is none other than a wicked, terrible, too horrifyingly gruesome to be described... reflective sphere? Well that was certainly a lot of anticipation for nothing. Suddenly the door out of the room slams shut behind you and the sphere begins exuding an eerily demonic aura of purplish gas. You cough and choke as the cloud of smoke fills up the room and blinds your vision. As the fog begin to clear you suddenly find yourself in ancient ruins of some sort, and the sphere is nowhere to be seen. The air all aroung just feels very wrong and the sky is now a deep ominous shade of dark lavender. The sounds of thunder echo in the background as you see your weapon on the ground in front of you. An armored stranger raises from a platform build into the ground and you soon realize that this is actually some kind of arena! His eyes glow red as he looks upon you and he slowly unsheathes his giant axe. You try and lift your own, but it is at least three times as heavy than when you remember; you are barely able to wield it.

Voff and Draco
"Nice to meet you, Draco." Empee say as she gives a light bow in his direction. Trying to turn her attention between the two of you instead ending up looking of at a slightly askew angle at no one, she begins to explain to you, "Ah yes I am able to create the portal into the Item World for others to travel. Two people is an adequate number, just remember that the deeper you go into the item world, the more dangerous it becomes. These distances are known as 'levels', normally they are seperated by groups of ten, but if you get into too much danger, you can use these." Empee hands the two of you small rectangular objects that look like tiny little doors. "These are Mr.Gency Exits. You can use them to escape the item world, and then return to the same point later. These are in short supply, so try to only use them when you have to; You can leave and enter items regularly at every 10 levels." Turning to Sander specifically Empee continues, "Books should work too, yes. If you hand me an item you wish to travel into, I can always tell you more about what you might expect for your next 10 levels."

Delzia quickly covers her mouth as the fog thickens and begins to blind and choke her. She stands very still as she loses all vision in front of her. Gazing at her new surrounds she spins on the spot trying to figure out where she is concern evident on her face. The hairs on Delzia's neck go on end as she looks around the arena before setting her eyes on the figure. Offering a hiss as she draws his weapon she reaches for her own her eyes widening in disbelief at it's change. "What the blazes is this? Give me a weapon i can actually use!" she growls lifting it at great expense to any usability maybe she could use it as a shield at this point it's better than her flesh or fists. With another hiss she slowly backs away from the figure. "What the hell is this?" she speaks with difficulty trying to focus on keeping her new overly sized axe in her grasp.

"Thank you", Sander said when he recieved his Mr.Gency Exit, "this seems quite useful". He tucked it safely away into his cloak in an easy to reach pocket. Sander considered to propose that they make a portal to his book, but the idea of share his secrets with others made him hesitate. Still, his effort to learn more about it while keeping the contents completely to himself had failed time and time again. Maybe it was time to take a few chances. "hmm... I have a book I acquired earlier in my travels. Bought it surprisingly cheap from a merchant, who thought the book gibberish since he couldn't make sense of it, and so was glad to be rid of it. Still I found it very intriguing and it has some kind of special presence about it", Sander said, figuring he didn't have to tell them everything. "Maybe it will do as a good test run, if you're up for it"? Sander asked Draco, and brought forth the book from a satchel attached to his belt and put it on Empee's desk. It was bound in black leather with some simple patterns adorning the front and back and the pages where written in a strange language, or a code. "I have yet to make sense of it myself and it could be interesting if there are any clues in the item world", he added. Twisting the truth a bit might backfire later, but Sander was sure there would be benefits for both of them to be found in the item world even though he hid some of the hows and whys behind the book.

"That sounds like a good idea. I was thinking about one of the items we just bought, but this we we can both use all our gear." Draco turns to address Empee. "I assume that taking an item into its own item world doesn't work?"

He steps forward to examine the book, picking it up and flipping through some of the pages. Turning the strange symbols over in his mind, he turns to give the book to Empee. She did say 'hand me an item', after all, and he's still not sure just what she can and can't perceive. It's probably safer not to assume that she knew that it was on her desk. "Can you tell us about this one, please?"

Delzia
The ominous figure stands above you as he lifts his own weapon high above his head and steps forward to bring in down upon you. Barely able to hold up your own weapon, there's no way you can dodge this while continuing to hold your weapon; you might be able to deflect it by lifting your own weapon high into the air... but that's a sharp looking weapon, and one mistak can quickly have this fight taking a turn for the worse.

Draco and Sander
Empee nods softly. "Yes, one cannot bring the own item they are traveling into." Empee slowly makes her way through the castle towards the portal room as holds the book up in her tendrils. She keeps her hands places against one another in silent meditation, almost as if in prayer with her eyes closed. "I sense... Cold." She murmurs softly, "This is definately an interesting book. It tells the story of a great destroyer, something that was locked away. It steals the souls of innocents and traps them within it's body. This is the Book of Souls." Empee looks almost disturb as she pauses under her position in the portal room, where a structure is set up clearly for the intent of creating an item world portal. "The first ten levels do not seem too dangerous, you two alone should be fine... but I'd be careful about traveling further without reinforcements... Something very powerful lurks within."

Seeing no other option Delzia drops her weapon while attempting to dodge the attack and fleeing her mysterious foe. "Get away from me!" screaming at him to stop. "What do you want?!" she appears to of resorted to pleading bargaining and fleeing in the short space of time.

"The Book of Souls", Sander repeated quietly to himself. Finally, after all this time his search had yielded results. But who is this destroyer? And it steals souls? Sander could barely control his eagerness, wanting to rush forward and let caution be damned. Still, the dangers Empee told of probably wasn't something he should take lightly and he was grateful for Draco's company. It might have been to dangerous for him alone. "Yes, retaining all our equipment will certainly be useful, and if I understood the principle of these specialist correctly we can use the ones we get in one item to improve any of our other items", Sander said thoughtfully. Not able to wait much longer he added, "Well, I'm ready whenever you are. This could prove to a quite interesting and fruitful venture".

Watching Sander's responses, Draco can't help feeling that the other mage is reacting a litle too strongly for this to be 'just some book he bought from a merchant' - there's obviously something special about it, at least to Sander. Draco gives a mental shrug. They've only just met, so it's not surprising that he might not want to tell the whole story straight away. Either way, Empee says it shouldn't be too dangerous, so any secrets that the other mage might be keeping don't look likely to blow up on him. He just nods to Sander. "Let's do it."

Delzia
"Hey! Delzia?" You hear distinctly familiar femenin voice all out to you. Just as the menacing stranger begin to bear down on you with his weight, everything fades to mist and you feel yourself being shook by the shoulder as your hands tightly grip onto the orb that was beneath the sheet. You are back in the somewhat eerie, but relatively safe room inside the castle and the only other person there with you is Aiya, who at this moment is glancing at you with concern. "...You alright?" She asks quietly as you notice your knuckles whitening with how hard you grip the sphere.

Sander and Draco
Well... If you two are sure I can take you in." Empee's eye glow with a blue aura as the books page flip wildly as if turned by the breeze. She holds the object with both her hands and many of her tendril as her body lurches back in an almost painful looking arch. Finally the starway to the previously inactive portal hums to life as sparks of energy shoot from the book, through Empee and into a two dimensional oval like shape which leads one to imagine they can step through as a mysterious gate. "Remember, there are ten levels and there probably won't be many chances to heal... Use your resources wisely."

Delzia screams at the sight of the axe bearing down on her her body slick with sweat as her surrounds revert back to the room. her eyes darting at her surroundings as she breaths heavily in panic stammering out her confusion and panic "Where am -oh" that begins to slowly subside as she realizes she is safe again. she snaps her gaze at Aiya fear still remaining despite her calming. Delzia lets go of the ball as she notices how tightly she is holding the ball. "I'm fine... at least now.." finally responding to Aiya. "What is this place?"

"Ten levels, don't run out of steam half-way. Got it." Draco nods to acknowledge Empee's reminder, then lifts his staff and walks steadily towards the portal. As he does so, he calls up a thread of power, letting it course through his body. The energy flowing through his muscles seems to invigorate him, his movements becoming slightly but noticably quicker and more fluid. By the time he nears the portal, each movement seems to leave barely-visible traces of fire trailing in his wake. He pauses for a moment on the threshold, then steps forward into the oval door and through to the Item World.

Sander started to reach out towards Empee when she started to arch, it seemed something was wrong it looked like she was in pain, but in fear of making anything worse he stopped himself before he reached her. It seemed the right decision as the room calmed down and a portal appeared. "Thank you Empee, this is much appreciated", he said. After patting his pocket where he put the Mr.Gency Exit, to double check it was still there, he stepped through the gate after Draco. Eager to see what waited for them there.

Delzia
The loud clanking of the mystery orb fills the silence of the room as you drop it onto the ground. "I-I don't know." Aiya responds meekly, "There are several rooms that are closed off now by orders of my mother... Ghosts of the past, she calls them." Aiya slowly walks over to the orb and picks it up with both hands... but appears to be uneffected. She places back onto the pedastal and frowns for a moment before walking away. She stands outside the doorway and says, "This room gives me the creeps."

The Book of Souls: Level 1
As you pass through the portal, you see a long spiraling staircase down towards the ground. This place is dark and gloomy, with streaks of lightning striking consistently in the background. Strange crystaline structures of blackened ice dot the horizon, yet you only seem to be on the outskirt in the burnt tundra. A wall of purple glowing energy seperates this small space from the rest of the world, but the broken down stone path leads to a small portal on the ground; presumably to the next level. To the sides of the path are a few peculiar rift emitting a strange floating liquid that evaporate quickly in the exposed air. The liquid itself is ethereal and tinged glowing green.

"hmmm... This place definitely has an eerie feel to it", Sander said to Draco after he had a look at the place, "I'm starting to wonder whether or not we should've asked a bit more about this place and the laws that govern it. Still I've always liked to learn by doing. We probably should be a bit cautious though". He looked about himself, studying the area, trying to find anything that stands out. "It seems this place is closed off, with the portal over there leading forward and the portal we entered leading out", Sander said stating the obvious, "but I do suggest we take a bit of time to investigate this area before we move on. There might be something worth finding". He noted the rifts to the sides of the path and walked carefully over to the nearest one to inspect it closer. "What do we have here"? He said curiously.
