As Solascen makes her approach, the Patraptor certainly doesn't just sit and wait for her. The armor she wears, while heavy, has gear to make it easier to move around in, but her top speed without it on is still better than when wearing it. As a result, it easily acquires a lock on her, and fires a few cannon shots to soften her up. The fact that she heads for it without any deviations in her path makes her an even easier target, the first two shots dropping her shields, and the third impacting a short distance in front of her, tossing her off her feet and onto her ass (Solascen's shields are down, 15 HP damage dealt). That last shot was intended to not be a direct hit, though; clearly, the thing wants her alive by the end, for one reason or another.
Wasting no time, the Patraptor leaps once again, this time off its perch to pounce on Solascen. However, its descent is intercepted by a shot from Aliisza's rifle, the force behind its high-velocity round knocking the drone a few feet away from Sol's position, and dealing considerable damage to its shielding (Patraptor's shields reduced to 20%). In retaliation, it opens a small compartment where the arms on a real raptor would be, and out pops a small gun pod, which sprays a quick flurry of photon bolts at Aliisza's position. The shots don't actually hit her, but they do force her back into cover, and mess up her second shot in the process.
For his own move in this skirmish, Zan rolls out from behind his cover, takes a shot at the Patraptor with his Plasma Shotgun, and ducks back in to evade the return-fire spray from that little gun-pod. The blast of his own proves rather useful, as it clips off what's left of the enemy's shielding, and with a light damage bonus (Patraptor's shields are down, 40 HP damage). With the target's shields dropped and its tactical advantage exhausted, now's the perfect time to strike. Make it count, ladies...

Well, Derek certainly gets to feel the dakka. The turret sprays a hearty load of machine gun fire across the wall, the sparks from impact looking almost like a glowing rainstorm. That's not all he feels, however...and the next thing he feels isn't going to be too pleasant...
The moment Derek's test-firing ceases, an ear-shredding crescendo of monstrous shrieks echoes throughout the tunnel, much louder than the Cobra's humming engines. Mere seconds after that, every maintenance door and observation window in sight bursts open, torrential swarms of emerald green creatures spewing out of them. The creatures themselves can't be identified because of their sheer number, but their surfaces have a crystalline form of sheen to them, as if made literally out of emeralds. Oh, and by "torrential swarms" of these things, we're talking numbers in the thousands, and that's just the ones in view right now. While their size can be estimated to that of the average man's hand, there's enough of them that if they swarm your Cobra, the lot of you are in for a messy demise. Get to blasting!

Jon groans at your complaints, finding them honestly annoying. He's no stranger to people ranting on him over a blunder, but considering he can't control when he sneezes, he considers your outburst somewhat uncalled for. Keeping the Komodo busy, however, is apparently easier for him than it is for you. You're too focused on dropping the crate to notice, but he's bounding like a freaking ninja between the thing's legs, always making sure to stay out of that frontal Gatling Blaster's range. One advantage to being chased by it here, of all places, is that the pilot's unwilling to risk a hull breach with the mech's stronger weapons.
After a meaty spray of fire from Lil' Daxy, the crane's support winch gives way, dropping straight on top of the Komodo with a satisfyingly loud "THUD!" The impact alone creates a shallow dent in the floor, and the mech's struggle to shake the crate off is quite visible. Of course, Jon had already dove to safety by the time you dropped that sucker, so he's as ready to make the sprint as you are. The two of you sprint up to the storeroom, where you finally see those beautiful Fenrir armors. Hopping in, you start to boot them up...
...but apparently, this Fenrir is fresh off the shelf, and hasn't been calibrated for a pilot's touch just yet. This means you'll need to run the initial boot process, which could take as long as 20 seconds. Seeing your dilemma, and being lucky enough to have a Fenrir that's calibrated, Jon nods to you. "Needs the initial boot? Don't worry. I'll buy you some time." With that said, he dashes forward, ready to engage.
Good thing too, cuz here comes the Komodo, and looking even more pissed than before. Thankfully, before it can even notice you, Jon gets its attention with a quick Heat Blade smack across the top. "Looking for me?" he taunts, following up with a volley from his shoulder-mounted Gatling Blaster. Well, he's certainly enjoying himself...now get that boot-up done, so you don't miss the party.

As Chris approaches, everything appears picture-perfect. Jade is oblivious to his presence, and hasn't even brought out her weapon yet. The moment he takes that last step, however...
*tink!*
That was the sound of a shard of metal debris getting smacked against the floor by his armor's metal boot. Naturally, this causes the would-be quick kill to fall apart, as Jade turns around, spots the reared back axe, and shouts out a surprised
"Whoa!" as she jumps back in defense. This also reveals her weapon, as she brings it up to block for any follow-up strike: a long cannon with a shotgun-esque pump down near the end with the barrel on it. The weapon itself is roughly half as long as she is tall, and while her pointing the barrel at the floor seems odd at first, she quickly reveals why. A single button-press on the "handle" pointed upwards brings a scythe blade out pocket knife-style, which hums to life with a faint glow of nuclear energy.

"I won't lie, kid. If you hadn't stepped on that shard, my head would be yours right now. Chalk it up to bad luck, eh?" She then lowers herself into a defensive stance, the barrel end of her scythe-gun pointed up and forwards at a 45-degree angle.
"Oh, and this is nothing personal, by the way. Just good business." Typical line from a typical money-loving mercenary...well, at least her weapon's pretty cool.
