Cordevo slid a small fiber optic wire out of his pod as it finally skidded to a halt. The mission had been going fine until his squad, Crimson had all been shot down and crashed in different hangars. According to what he was seeing through the optic he was in some sort of medical bay. Satisfied, Cordevo slides the wire back inside before releasing the autolocks and kicking the front hatch off. "Let's start the party and raise the gods." he says as he jumps out of the stealth pod. He hooks his weapons onto his back, looking around for exits while spinning a stray computer wire. "Gotta find the rest of Crimson squad so we can finish up here since the other teams are too amateur to finish missions by themselves. A security room full of terminals and cameras would probably be the best bet. Maybe shut down the jammer than run the op from there. Sounds like a plan to me, do you guys disagree with it?" He looks around the empty room, smirking before walking out of the room. "The perks of working alone and with computers. I get to make the rules."

After stashing the shock pistol, Char-

Shit. Another blackout. Again, it doesn't seem she's done anything particularly noteworthy seeing as everything appears to be relatively intact. Well, other than the Cobras but it was unlikely she had anything to do with that. Not enough bodies. With a glance at the two new arrivals Chare takes her position nearby the APC, switching her active camo off to avoid any unnecessary complications in the seating arrangements. Another quick full body flex-check that pops a few too many joints for comfort leaves the broken merc relatively assured of her own well-being. Weapons, check, teammates, check plus three. When the hell did Vamoose get here? Whatever. That particular annoyance was likely enough to resolve itself. The battlefield doesn't care how much of a clown you are.

Internal dramatics concluded for the moment the more damaged of the two Stealth Troopers waits for everyone else to take a seat before taking whatever was left. Given her rather limited variety of armaments she wouldn't be much good at middle-range fighting of the sort that might occur on an APC.

Alpha
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

While cloaking to go for the obvious weak point is a quite valid strategy, Aliisza has made the blunder of cloaking in plain sight, where the enemy can easily surmise what she's up to. To counter this, the Patraptor performs a remarkably high-flying leap onto the Percival fighter wreckage roughly 150 feet (45.7 meters) away from you. Zan attempts to stop it mid-flight with his Plasma Shotgun, but the majority of its cloud-like blast is evaded, the remainder only nicking the foe's shields (Patraptor's shields drop by 30%, but no HP damage). As it lands, it fires a retaliatory shot from its tail-cannon, smacking Zan square in the chest, sending him flying back into the wall (Zan's shields are down, and he takes 34 damage). Solascen and Aliisza have not yet been attacked by the beast, but it's clear that it won't let them fire on its weak point so easily...

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

<Patraptor>
HP: 500.
Shields: 70%.
Status: Taking the high-ground, and protecting its obvious weak point.

Solascen and Aliisza are at optimal status.

<Zandile>
HP: 90/200.
EN: 80/100.
Status: Shields down. Energy attacks will deal full damage.

Bravo
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Location: Bravo Transit Tunnels.

Once everyone's loaded up, Strudel hits the ignition, and the Cobra hums to life and gets moving. "Alright everyone, I just got Vamoose's waypoint data. Synching now." An arrow pointing to their right pops up, indicating the transmitter that they need to clean up is 8 miles (about 12.8 km) from their current position and closing. At their current speed, they'll arrive at the waypoint in about 5 minutes...provided nothing gets hostile along the way.

(2 minutes later...)

From his position on the gunner seat, Derek has less of the engine's droning sound going through his ears, and he can pick up on a...skittering sound coming from the left side of the tunnel. He can't actually see anything there, though, and that distinct visual distortion seen with cloaking tech is nowhere to be found. Just what is making that noise, and where?

Charlie 1 (Amber and Jon)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Location: Charlie Transit Tunnels.

Originally built for vehicular transit, these tunnels are blatantly lacking in anything of the sort. Even the lightweight hoverbikes used for one-man transport are nowhere to be seen. Of course, the Komodo mech hot on the duo's heels has their mind focused elsewhere. Why Jon chose to run into these tunnels of all places is unclear at present; perhaps he's praying they find a way of dropping the Komodo along the way? After passing through the first tunnel chamber, he finally pipes up on his plan:

"If we follow this tunnel for another few chambers, we'll reach a storeroom with some Fenrirs in it. We can take it down with those." (for data regarding the Fenrirs, please see the Data-Log below.)

Fenrirs, huh? Well, their armor can't take a direct hit from the Komodo's heavier weapons...but their agility and small size will allow for good dodging of said heavy fire, and their weapons - unlike the ones Amber and Jon have right now - can pierce the mech's shields with enough well-placed shots. Besides, any chance against that thing is better than none.

The tricky part, however, is keeping the Komodo from simply sniping those Fenrirs while they're climbing in them. They'll need some way to slow it down...and a viable option is coming into view...

A supply crane looms overhead holding a large supply crate; if the clamps securing the crate are hit with enough shots, they'll give way, and it can be dropped on top of the Komodo. The crate's weight won't be able to destroy the mech outright, but it'll have a hard time getting moving again. That should buy plenty of time for them to suit up in the Fenrirs, or at least get enough of a lead on the Komodo that they'll be able to get the ball rolling by the time it catches up. Noticing your gaze drift up to the crane, Jon nods and says: "Worth a try."

Data-Log: Fenrir Support Armor
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(While merely an aesthetic note, the Stilettos always paint these things a dark midnight-blue color)
Image

The ISA-140 armor system - dubbed "Fenrir" by the Stiletto forces - is made to bolster a single soldier's offensive and defensive capabilities. The pilot is housed entirely in the central cockpit pod, though the cockpit itself is a rather tight fit, the majority of its inner space hollowed out only for the pilot's head and torso. Everything from the waist down goes into a skin-tight motion-sensor device, which controls the unit's pelvic and leg motor functions. The arms go into a similar system, and control - you guessed it - the arms and weapons. The Heat Blade mounted on the unit's left arm is built more for use against pedestrian targets, but can cut through most forms of light armor with relative ease. The shoulder-mounted cannons house a Gatling Blaster pod on the right, and an armor-piercing Tankbuster Cannon pod on the left. Finally, a G-Repulsor system in back allows for increased agility, though lacks enough "oomph" to grant full-out flight capabilities.

Charlie 2 (Chris and Cordevo)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

After the Komodo mech passes by, a woman in green, scale-like armor walks by, followed closely by a man in jagged spiky armor, which appears as if it were made purely of pitch black crystals. Geez, that looks better-suited for a fantasy dark lord villain than anyone of this era. Seriously, someone needs a few pointers on modern fashion...

"My my, those two can run. If this station wasn't so fragile on the inside, that Komodo could've just vaporized them with its rockets...but oh well."
"Oui oui, a hull-breach would be most unsightly. 'Haste makes waste,' am I correct, Jade?"
"Indeed. Besides, they can't run from it forever, and that's not the strongest thing we have on our side. Even if they do manage to survive, I'm sure your...'pets' can finish the job."
"I prefer zee term 'petit amis,' but not everyone speaks zee Francais. Now if you will excuse-eh moi, I must be going. Au revoir!"

With that exchange done, the dark-lord-ish man...vanishes with a soft beeping noise punctuating it. Apparently, that was just a hologram of him; the man dares not venture to this place himself. That leaves only the green-armored woman - Jade, as he called her - in the vicinity. She hasn't noticed Chris or Cordevo yet, so they could take the opportunity to try and ambush her...

Totally unaware of any noise Tanara looks around the tunnel as they travel through it just to get a basic feeling of whats going on around her not wanting to be taken by surprise. After a few seconds of seeing nothing she looks up at Derek and asks " You see anything from up there? "

"Nope, but I sure as hell hear something." He says in answer to Tanara. "Better safe than sorry. Everyone, I'm giving the left side of a the corridor a quick spray to make sure nothing's on us." He says as he begins firing towards where he heard the sound. He gave an explanation, but the real reason he's firing is much simpler: He really just wants to feel the dakka.

Kal couldn't really do much, to help see if something was coming or she wasn't even sure when she had moved from the drivers seat into the back, but she assumed she had a reason for it, the conversation was weird, if Derek couldn't see anything but hear something that could easily mean it's position was being distorted also the fact they were in a tunnel meant an echo was viable aswell. But still something, didn't really feel right in that explination either so Kal kept quiet but carefully took a hold of her Rifle, she looked at the other two stealth troopers, before she decided to toggle her cloaking device. If anything was going to happen it was better to mess up any concept of the numbers in the APC.

Sola rolls forward and begins jogging towards the raptor at top speed... which probably isn't that fast due to her heavy armor. "Damnit, quite jumping around." She protest as she attempts to climbs up the heap it's positioned itself upon so that she can get within swinging range of her hammer and thus distract its attention.

Muttering under her breath she quickly runs towards Zan " Keep it busy!" attempting to drag him out of the open and into cover she quickly shoulder's her rifle and hooks him under the arms and drags backwards to cover before dropping him. she quickly goes to take a firing point from her new position and fire at the the raptor providing supporting fire for Sola. taking her time with her shots due to Sola's proximity to the raptor

Keeping as still as possible, Chris listened closely to the pair's convo reaction about the mech. From the sounds of it, he was glad he decided to not stand in its way. As the french man's hologram disappeared, Chris waited a beat, then slowly opened his right eye to asses his situation. Fortunately for him, just the girl was left, and she hadn't noticed him. Feeling pretty confident in himself, Chris planned the sneak attack in his mind. Step one: slowly get up. Step two: creep up behind girl. Step tree: axe her out on a date in the face. Plans like this seemed to work pretty well for Chris, so he figured why change his strategy now?

Picking himself up without making a sound, Chris carefully began to sneak up on Jade while drawing The Surgeon. Giving the axe a quick once over, he say is own reflection in the gleam of the blade. It was certainly sharp enough to cut through flesh and bones, and with it being so heavy Chris was confident in its ability to chop it's way through armor.

As soon as Chris was close enough, he'd take an overhead swing at Jade, aiming for where her neck meets her shoulder. Even if he didn't kill her outright, the wound would at least disable her right arm and cut into her jugular. If the neck axe blow didn't get her, she'd be useless with a gun and would swiftly bleed out.

Amber growls at him and says,"You ass... I'm so going to ring that pretty little neck of yours once this is done! Run into here you said... it will be better! Dick!!" She said venting her anger as she sprinted.forward using the weight of her gun in her hands almost like a pendulum to keep her going. Not even a damn tricycle! Oh he was going to get it! She looked around and so nothing. Then he piped up with something useful! Good. She could work with that. Then came the next problem... how to get in. She saw it almost immediately. Hello distraction. Meet Mr. Daxy. She looked over to Jon,"Keep em busy for a sec so hell be in position." She said as she hefted her machine gun and sprinted forward again trying to get in position herself to blast the crane part holding it in place or barring that blast the controls. That's usually how it works.

Chare's many voices are silent in her head, however briefly. There is simply nothing for them to say to her at the moment. Nothing for her to think about, nothing for her to kill, nothing for her to do but sit in her seat and hope the people with weapons appropriate to the situation can deal with whatever happens on the way. She is, in short, bored and resigned without even her own madness to talk to.

Alpha
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Solascen makes her approach, the Patraptor certainly doesn't just sit and wait for her. The armor she wears, while heavy, has gear to make it easier to move around in, but her top speed without it on is still better than when wearing it. As a result, it easily acquires a lock on her, and fires a few cannon shots to soften her up. The fact that she heads for it without any deviations in her path makes her an even easier target, the first two shots dropping her shields, and the third impacting a short distance in front of her, tossing her off her feet and onto her ass (Solascen's shields are down, 15 HP damage dealt). That last shot was intended to not be a direct hit, though; clearly, the thing wants her alive by the end, for one reason or another.

Wasting no time, the Patraptor leaps once again, this time off its perch to pounce on Solascen. However, its descent is intercepted by a shot from Aliisza's rifle, the force behind its high-velocity round knocking the drone a few feet away from Sol's position, and dealing considerable damage to its shielding (Patraptor's shields reduced to 20%). In retaliation, it opens a small compartment where the arms on a real raptor would be, and out pops a small gun pod, which sprays a quick flurry of photon bolts at Aliisza's position. The shots don't actually hit her, but they do force her back into cover, and mess up her second shot in the process.

For his own move in this skirmish, Zan rolls out from behind his cover, takes a shot at the Patraptor with his Plasma Shotgun, and ducks back in to evade the return-fire spray from that little gun-pod. The blast of his own proves rather useful, as it clips off what's left of the enemy's shielding, and with a light damage bonus (Patraptor's shields are down, 40 HP damage). With the target's shields dropped and its tactical advantage exhausted, now's the perfect time to strike. Make it count, ladies...

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Well, Derek certainly gets to feel the dakka. The turret sprays a hearty load of machine gun fire across the wall, the sparks from impact looking almost like a glowing rainstorm. That's not all he feels, however...and the next thing he feels isn't going to be too pleasant...

The moment Derek's test-firing ceases, an ear-shredding crescendo of monstrous shrieks echoes throughout the tunnel, much louder than the Cobra's humming engines. Mere seconds after that, every maintenance door and observation window in sight bursts open, torrential swarms of emerald green creatures spewing out of them. The creatures themselves can't be identified because of their sheer number, but their surfaces have a crystalline form of sheen to them, as if made literally out of emeralds. Oh, and by "torrential swarms" of these things, we're talking numbers in the thousands, and that's just the ones in view right now. While their size can be estimated to that of the average man's hand, there's enough of them that if they swarm your Cobra, the lot of you are in for a messy demise. Get to blasting!

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Jon groans at your complaints, finding them honestly annoying. He's no stranger to people ranting on him over a blunder, but considering he can't control when he sneezes, he considers your outburst somewhat uncalled for. Keeping the Komodo busy, however, is apparently easier for him than it is for you. You're too focused on dropping the crate to notice, but he's bounding like a freaking ninja between the thing's legs, always making sure to stay out of that frontal Gatling Blaster's range. One advantage to being chased by it here, of all places, is that the pilot's unwilling to risk a hull breach with the mech's stronger weapons.

After a meaty spray of fire from Lil' Daxy, the crane's support winch gives way, dropping straight on top of the Komodo with a satisfyingly loud "THUD!" The impact alone creates a shallow dent in the floor, and the mech's struggle to shake the crate off is quite visible. Of course, Jon had already dove to safety by the time you dropped that sucker, so he's as ready to make the sprint as you are. The two of you sprint up to the storeroom, where you finally see those beautiful Fenrir armors. Hopping in, you start to boot them up...

...but apparently, this Fenrir is fresh off the shelf, and hasn't been calibrated for a pilot's touch just yet. This means you'll need to run the initial boot process, which could take as long as 20 seconds. Seeing your dilemma, and being lucky enough to have a Fenrir that's calibrated, Jon nods to you. "Needs the initial boot? Don't worry. I'll buy you some time." With that said, he dashes forward, ready to engage.

Good thing too, cuz here comes the Komodo, and looking even more pissed than before. Thankfully, before it can even notice you, Jon gets its attention with a quick Heat Blade smack across the top. "Looking for me?" he taunts, following up with a volley from his shoulder-mounted Gatling Blaster. Well, he's certainly enjoying himself...now get that boot-up done, so you don't miss the party.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Chris approaches, everything appears picture-perfect. Jade is oblivious to his presence, and hasn't even brought out her weapon yet. The moment he takes that last step, however...

*tink!*

That was the sound of a shard of metal debris getting smacked against the floor by his armor's metal boot. Naturally, this causes the would-be quick kill to fall apart, as Jade turns around, spots the reared back axe, and shouts out a surprised "Whoa!" as she jumps back in defense. This also reveals her weapon, as she brings it up to block for any follow-up strike: a long cannon with a shotgun-esque pump down near the end with the barrel on it. The weapon itself is roughly half as long as she is tall, and while her pointing the barrel at the floor seems odd at first, she quickly reveals why. A single button-press on the "handle" pointed upwards brings a scythe blade out pocket knife-style, which hums to life with a faint glow of nuclear energy.

(BGM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LNIXuJODSs)

"I won't lie, kid. If you hadn't stepped on that shard, my head would be yours right now. Chalk it up to bad luck, eh?" She then lowers herself into a defensive stance, the barrel end of her scythe-gun pointed up and forwards at a 45-degree angle. "Oh, and this is nothing personal, by the way. Just good business." Typical line from a typical money-loving mercenary...well, at least her weapon's pretty cool.

Kal Manouvered herself so she could aim at the coming swarm with her rifle, she took a deep breath she looks down the scope and squeezes the trigger breathing out at the same time, she doesn't wait to see if it hits but begins preping for the next shot, the problem with facing the swarm though was the fact the sniper rifle took time between shots unless they had serious cover fire holding it back, they really needed to get out of this tunnel fast. "We need to get out of here fast, We'll only hold that back for so long."

Chris made no attempts to hide his anger as Jade stepped out of his reach."Aw, fuck me!" He cried, half at her stepping out of the way and half at her scyth shotgun. Eyeing the unusual weapon, Chris carefully planned his course of action. A close range attack would be pretty pointless against the shotty, but if he switched to his SMG's and Jade got too close with her blade...

Deciding he had nothing to lose, Chris put on a cocky grin. "You're right, your head should be mine. You know, that's a pretty interesting blade you got there. Not a lot of people I know who stick to the more old fashioned weapons." Chris motioned to his ax, spinning it in his hand. "Whattya say as, one profesional to another, we keep it to the blades? I'd hate to die without knowing how a scythe like that works in combat." Taking a defensive stance as well, Chris hoped Jade would say yes, frankly, he didn't want to half to worry about switching between his guns and his ax this whole fight, but he also didn't want to rush in only to be met with a shotgun shell to the face.

"Oh fuck!" Derek yells as the sound of a swarm draws near. Thinking on a sound strategy, he shouts over the noise, "Driver, step on that shit! I'll use the machine gun to clear a path out of the little buggers in front of us. You just put that foot to the fuckin' floor and don't let go! Everyone else, please try to keep them off our sides. It's no good if they knock us over or get inside and start tearing us apart or something." Even before he's done shouting, he's warming up the machine gun and sending a steady stream of hot lead to clean up the ones in front of them. He doesn't know if there's a danger to this thing overheating or not yet, so he does his shooting in bursts. That's how to get the most accuracy out of it anyway and if Derek knows anything outside of the medical field, it's how to get the most bang for your dakka.

Then he has a thought: He's been teamed with a bunch of Stealth Troopers... who probably all have sniper rifles. During one of his pauses in shooting, he pulls out his needle gun and places it inside the car. "Start shooting with that. If the needle itself doesn't kill them, the poison inside them should. I'm gonna want it back though." He shouts inside the car. He would hand Lyndsy off to one of them, but with it's DNA scanner, no one would actually be able to use it without suffering terrible burns.
