Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You place Mission's gizmo onto the sealed lock of the door and stand back. There's a *thwump* as it secures itself. You flip the switch and it begins to hiss loudly. Then, the end with the lens explodes in a small but bright blue light accompanied by a steady "zwee" noise. You see a tiny, solid beam of navy blue energy begin to dig into the metal, cutting a gigantic circle into the metal over the course of 20 seconds.
The door is smoking now, but you pull up the large gate and slide under before it crashes back down, the lock gone. A split second later, the gizmo explodes in a flash of blue light, scorching the floor and walls adjacent to the gate, but you are uninjured as you were far enough away. The subway terminal is poorly lit, with the soft yellow emergency light giving everything a lonely look. The walls, ceiling and floor are made of large, somber yellow-white tiles and adorned with various small signs and maps on the six or so pillars dotting the square shaped room. A few benches are visible lining the walls adjacent to trashcans, as well as rows of turnstiles lining the far end of the room ahead of the electronic ticket purchasing machines (now inactive) which descend down rows of dead escalators towards the subway itself.
Looking ahead past the turnstiles and down the escalators, you see...pure blackness. Even your enhanced senses can't peer through the darkness on the level below, but there's a small blue door off to your left marked "Maintenance". Perhaps the emergency lights can be manipulated.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Gralmich gave you a thoughtful stare and then turned his head back, walking up to the gate. You can't see how he does it as his body's in the way, but he uses some kind of object he pulled from his pocket to induce a loud "click" from the gate, which of its own accord then rolled upwards to allow you two access.
Readying his MP5 again, Gralmich stepped into the terminal room. Nothing of particular interest here. Far ahead, past the turnstiles and down the escalators leading to the subway platform, there's just pure darkness. But that's not what grabs your attention. Or Gralmich's, either. To your immediate left is a small heap of black, shattered shards. Gun parts...? From an M16A3. Useless now, but Gralmich walks over to it and knelt down, prodding at the parts.
"This is TSS issue," he said immediately, having lowered his voice, "There weren't supposed to have been any troops down here."
He stood up and kicked the parts away, leaving you to form your own conclusions. Gralmich seemed twice as cautious now, though. He clicked on the flashlight mounted to his MP5 and panned around in the darker areas. Nothing much.
While Gralmich hopped the turnstiles and peered down into the darkness below, he questioned from across the room:
"See anything?"
Looking around, you might see several things of note. First, an abandoned blue backpack in the corner that looked stuffed with something. Second, a splatter of inky black blood near a vent grate on the floor near the wrecked gun, and lastly a lone stun grenade lying on top of that vent grate, seeming awfully suspicious. Looked functional, though.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You swing around the corner and fire twice, hitting the first walker in the back of the head with a sickening "splat" and cutting open its skull. Its brain annihilated, it topples to the ground.
You hit the second walker in the small of its back, presumably paralyzing it as it falls flat on its face, grumbling and groaning unable to move, but still alive. Looks harmless now.
Your last two shots probably save Parks' life. Just as the third walker converges on him, your two shots hit in the back and it topples forward, where the soldier quickly impales it through the neck with his blade, spraying blood everywhere. He ripped the knife free and tossed the dead body off to the side, huffing.
"Shit, did they? Not looking for me themselves? Assholes." Parks commented, wiping a hand across his sweat-soaked brow. You can tell he was just joking, as he's obviously relieved. He then spies the Stinger on your back.
"Where the fuck did you get...?" he shook his head, figuring it unimportant for now.
There's a loud roar off in the distance all of a sudden.
"Yeah, shit. Must have heard us..." Parks looks around and notices a manhole cover near his feet.
"Down here, man. Can't run from them in the street with how fucked up I am. Help me lift this..." he grunted in obvious pain, shuffling over on his ass towards the cover and trying to wretch it open with his bloodied knife.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Almost out of breath, you fly to the water's surface and inhale a giant breath. You're a bit disoriented, though, so your knife throw was kind of inaccurate. You fling it wildly at the soldier on the docks as he reloads his M16 and manage to hit him in the vest, but from this distance and such an awkward angle, it is stopped by his body armor without injuring him and is stuck there. He pulled it out and threw it to the ground before taking aim again.
Just as he did there's a blur behind him and far off to his right at the other end of the docks, you can hear loud gunshots as another soldier open fires.
Momentarily distracted, the soldier looks back at this, but then turns back and begins spraying at you. The question now is whether you were quick enough to dive back down to avoid the shots, as you had the chance to...
Your arm feels like its burning and spurts a bit of blood from your wounds, dizzying you a bit from blood loss. (minor damage, mild disorientation)
You hear a loud mechanical rumbling in the distance, as well. Sounds like a TSS vehicle.
Claire Condition - Medium Wounded (bleeding for minor damage, mild disorientation)
TSS Soldier 1 Condition - Healthy
TSS Soldier 2 Condition - ??? (can't see him very well)
TSS Humvee 1 Condition - ??? (can't see it)

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Still lacking in the tact department, I see...
Well, can't blame you.
You leap from container to container as you charge northward, aiming for the shotgun-wielding soldier at the far end of the docks.
Your roar does indeed grab their attention, but mostly the shotgun soldier's. He raises his gun at you as you lunge from the lip of a container, powering through the air at him with your blade arm poised to cut him. However, he does get a very good shot at you as you fly, opening up with 3 blasts of buckshot, two of which impact your chest heavily and cut into your body, kicking up blood (very heavy damage; medium bleeding) and the third missing completely. You feel somewhat weakened from the direct hits.
But, luckily for you, he doesn't do much in the way of evading and so you manage to slice his right leg off from the knee down (extreme damage; right leg gone), the severed limb flying off.
He screamed and fired once into the air, spraying blood everywhere before collapsing on the ground. He fumbled to aim at you. Meanwhile, you see the soldier at the south end of the docks firing into the water again.
You hear more rumbling. That APC is extremely close. You'd better wrap this thing up soon as you're unlikely to win in a fight against it.
Raz Condition - Heavily Wounded (bleeding for medium damage)
TSS Soldier 1 Condition - Healthy (shooting into the water)
TSS Soldier 2 Condition - Mortally Wounded (right leg missing, bleeding for extreme damage)
TSS Humvee 1 Condition - Undamaged (parked running outside the fence)
TSS Status: Alert

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
There's a long silence before White Crown's operator replies in her usual emotionless voice:
"Roger that, Swallow 1-1. Advise that you proceed with caution. Infected presence was thought to have been low. Report any sightings of infected in the building. Over." the woman said simply, and the line ended. You can't help but roll your eyes. The inner city is practically the central infected hive, but thankfully it's been contained for the most part.
From here, it shouldn't be difficult to power up the remaining floors. Currently, you're a few floors below where you're supposed to go and assuming there's no more interruptions you could reach there in a few short minutes by climbing up the staircase.
It should be noted, though, that the upper part of your body armor was somewhat damaged by the acid. It won't be as good at protecting your upper chest from attacks now, but the lower half and back are still in peak shape.
Your M9 has 13 rounds in the magazine now. You have 30 rounds (2 mags) as backup.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You decide to head back south towards your base camp in the suburbs, which incidentally leads you right over the manhole cover. You step over it and are nearly thrown off your feet as it suddenly rattles violently, disrupting your balance. But thankfully you don't fall. Before it does anything else, though, you decide it best to book it back carefully avoiding any storm drain or sewer cover you see.
A few minutes later and after beating in the face of an annoying walker that had been following you, your camp comes into view. Well, to you, anyway.
A small cul-de-sac street in a quaint suburb neighboorhood is where your camp is located. Around the side of a small, boarded up two floor house with square windows and a low roof, a locked cellar door past a wooden fence leads into fortified basement. It's so hard for infected to notice, you've survived entire gunfights in this neighborhood without being noticed.
You use your key to open the cellar door and step down into it. Your hideout is impressive: the basement of the house, with thin beige carpet on the floor. In one corner, a large queen-size bed, and lining the drywall covered walls are a fridge with food and drink, various shelves with miscellaneous crap on them, a laundry hamper and a washing and drying machine, a circuit breaker to manipulate the electricity powering the lights on the low ceiling, a heater unit, a cabinet for clothing, a safe for guns and valuables and two doors: one leading into the bathroom (with a working shower and full set of toiletries) and the other upstairs. But the second is boarded and sealed up.
And one should probably mention the violet-eyed girl sitting at the desk in the corner, playing some game on her pink 3DS:

"
Who is- oh, it's you." she said, seeming distracted. This was Sarah, the 18 year old daughter of the house's former owners who have since died in the outbreak. Around two months ago, you saved her from an infected attack here and she offered to let you live here in exchange for protection and risking your neck on scavenging runs.
She tucked her 3DS away and turned to you in the chair:
"
Find anything good?" she questioned, pulling down her hood.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
With your thoughts set on sports cards, you stride over to the plain door leading to the administrative complex and give it an up and down look with your trained eyes. Your familiarity with traps according to your training would have alerted you to any obstacles, and in this case, it did!
But it's not a bomb or a rigged shotgun. Rather, playing with the doorknob a touch you can practically feel a small bladed weapon has been hooked up to fly down and impale you through the upper chest should you swing the door open. Not particularly efficient, but the strike would surely cut through your vest considering how tense the wire holding it in place is. All that being said, it would be in fairly short order you could reach the tip of your combat knife through the seam in the door and disable the trap by cutting the wire. Alternatively, you could rip the door open and stand off to the side, allowing the trap to work its purpose without it hitting you.
As well, your ears pick up a shuffling noise from the inside, like that of footsteps or crumpling paper. No shadows are cast under the door, however, so it's difficult to tell if anyone is actually inside or not. Could just be the wind. Or a rat. Siribalt was famous for its rat population back in the '30's, but thankfully about 99.91% of the rat population was eliminated 3 years ago by a Sirin International anti-vermin bioweapon. Ironically, it had been engineered to demonstrate the potential of a similar bioweapon, which was designed to kill humans instead. Lovely. At least the anti-rat edition is harmless to humans so long as you don't drink it.
