Leslina & Saralyn
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
The guards move to whisper range of each other and mumble for a few moments before separating their huddle.
"Okay, we were told to expect you. We'll show you on through to the foyer. We will inform the King of your arrival."
The portcullis gate raises and allows you both passage. One guard shows inside to a comfortable lounge, with numerous sofas, wine glasses, and a few wine bottles on the center table. Guards stand at every entrance to the foyer, and at the end of the hall is a large, somewhat spartan, looking hearth. The nicest thing in the foyer is the sofas and wine, but otherwise, it's nothing but gray stone and pragmatic design for defense.
As you two wait patiently, you notice the Arch-Bishop's arrival outside on horseback. Three dozen paladins surround him as he's let through with little delay. More than likely, the Arch-Bishop might join you here in the foyer momentarily.
Eliandra & Cassandra
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
"You were... in fact, seen then. That's unfortunate. Hopefully, they won't think anything of it, as Ser Castigan hosted many-"
Edric is interrupted as Raven draws a knife with lightning speed and lunges at Eliandra. Thankfully, the King reacted in time and grabbed him by his throat. The assassin has a look of anger and frustration. If there ever was a time for someone to speak, or shout even, this would be it, but Raven does neither.
Instead, Raven drives his dagger into Edric's hand and the King growls in anger. He lets him go, but grabs him by the throat with his other hand and swiftly strides to the balcony's edge, holding his right-hand man over the edge, a much fiercer look in his eyes.
"Calm down. It was an accident. We can handle it. It won't jeopardize the plan..."
Blood trickles from Edric's other wrist as blood splashes a little bit on his ivory armor.
"Raven, I command you to back down, or I will throw you off this balcony... friend."
Both men meet each other's gaze, clearly angry with one another, but finally as Raven begins to choke, he nods his head enthusiastically, and Edric lets him go. Rather than hang around, Raven storms out of the garden.
Edric examines his wrist as he takes a seat next to Eliandra. His face slowly turns from anger to a grin.
"He'll be okay. As I said before, I'm sure those militia won't be a problem."
