Alena is silent through the myriad of exchanges, not knowing who Lene Soraya is, thought she's apparently well recommended if she immediately got respect out of Azmerelda, and not caring about Motoko and Caryn Janeva's musical duel as it brought them no closer to saving Kathryn. Her focus is more geared towards the were-tiger sleeping in her arms than anything going on around her, though she does notice the looks she's receiving from the newcomers and realizing that she's neglected to put her disguise up. Well, she no longer cares anyway. If anyone tries to call her on her species, she has a hell of a lot of frustration she'd just love to work out on some ignorant toad. Still, it would be rude to not introduce herself to the two people who have apparently wedged themselves into their party. Well, it's not like she'll turn down someone from a family apparently known for slaying dragons or a skilled bard anyway so she isn't annoyed by the events. "Greetings, Lene Soraya, Caryn Janeva. I am Alena Allison. I am pleased to make your acquaintance and hope we work well together in the future. Forgive me if a forgo my curtsy, but I would rather not disturb the girl in my arms." Alena says in greeting.

With the new party members greeted, she turns to the new woman with no sense of tact. The power? Is this something she missed in the past 280 years? She made sure to try to update herself as best she could over the 2 month break, but apparently she's still missing information. Once again, she speaks simply in the interest of not seeming rude. "Greetings, Lyris. I am unsure of what this 'power' you speak of is, but I am sure that any help given would be appreciated. At the very least, it is unlikely for you to seriously harm us before a dragon does." With pleasantries out of the way, Alena prepares to move. Standing around chatting is great and all, but it doesn't bring her any closer to Kathryn. It's best to prepare herself as best she can in anticipating of Azmerelda's teleportation so that she can move as quickly as possible to deal with the dragon. With that mindset, she prepares to move towards a general store to buy rations. She already has as good a sword as she can have at the moment, though maybe feels the need to upgrade her armor since she neglected to do so in the last time, so making sure she doesn't have to rely on her magic to feed herself would be a good idea.

After a quick pat of her belt Camilla whipped her head around to pick the thief from the crowd. "Stop or die, theif!!!" She hardly expected the pickpocket to just stop and give whatever it was back, but she very much expected the scene she was making to get them running away so she could be sure of who it was before she tackled or blasted the wrong person.

Dnd: The woman takes the horse hide from you, giving it a look over. You notice her brow twitch downwards the slightest bit, as though she were about to frown. "Well... We can do that for you. Come back in about four hours, it'll cost you three silver."

Misc: You pretty easily find a general store after leaving, Kon still in your arms. The merchant- a portly, older gentleman- seems quite surprised by your sheer size and the fact that... Well, you're a lamia. Not that he turns you away or any such thing. The store is middling in size, though it has everything you'd expect a general store to- that included the rations you were looking for. Perhaps you could question him to find a good blacksmith as well while shopping here. "Well, uhh... Welcome, ma'am. Looking for anything in particular?"

Lynxy: At your shout, you see someone in the crowd jump- a halfling, it seemed, with mousy brown hair and surprisingly cute features. Her brown eyes looked right back at you, glance catching yours, and they widened. Well, there was your pickpocket. She made a huge rookie mistake there, even turning. Then she turned tail and sprinted as fast as she could down the market road, which was fairly open- not many people down the middle of it. Looks like you'll have to give chase after all.

Well, Alena's already feeling better about the modern world than she did about her world. In her world, she would have been run out of town for appearing in her natural form, never mind carrying a were-tiger in her arms. Not that she would have let herself be run out of town this time around. She has too much at stake and she's grown much more powerful than she was in the days where that was a worry. They would have to injure her seriously to convince her to leave and she's sure she'd injure many in their attempt. Good thing that doesn't appear to be necessary. "Good evening, good sir. I humbly request 10 days of rations and the directions to the town's finest blacksmith." She says, a friendly, though plastic, smile on her face. With 10 additional days rations, she will have more than enough to last through the journey. About double the amount needed in fact.

Misc: The man steps off to a shelf, where he proceeds to take down some small packs of trail bread, bringing them to the counter. He set them down before her- ten days worth of rations. "That'll be five gold pieces, ma'am. If you're looking for a blacksmith, try my nephew." He took out a parchment and scrawled a hasty map- it was detailed enough for you to easily follow. "Reckon he's the best in town- tell him Belor sent you. He's the best you'll be able to contact without prior appointment- or two month's wait. Anything else you'll be needing tonight, miss... Err..."

Dnd: "Well, only that this'll make for some poor leather. You'd be better off, if you're looking for material, to purchase directly from us." The woman sounded entirely honest with you- a surprising trait from a merchant. She leaned forward on the desk, her arms crossing beneath her, amplifying her cleavage. She obviously wasn't intending it.

Alena hands over the gold pieces easily. Well, easily's not the right word. Reaching for her gold purse is made unnecessarily difficult after factoring in Kon asleep in her arms. She didn't want to wake the child nor does she want to put her down, so grabbing her money is made into a funny little dance that ends with her simply using her tail to pick the bag off of her waist and grab her gold pieces. "I thank you kindly for your services, good sir. That will be all for me. Thank you for your recommendation and your time." She inclines her head a bit before exiting the store, unwilling to give the man her name, but too well-mannered to be obvious about it. Following the map, she makes her way to the man's nephew.

Misc: You manage not to disturb Kon with your ridiculous money-grabbing dance! Good job! She curls in tighter against you, mumbling in her sleep as you make your way to the blacksmith. Looks like a basic forge, with a powerfully built half-orc male hammering away at what appeared to be shaping into a horse shoe. Basic work for a blacksmith, though he has various weapons and armour on display, all of masterful make. He doesn't notice you quite yet.

Alena breathes a sigh of relief as Kon seems undisturbed by her excessive movement, though with the mumbling she makes a mental note to be more careful in the future. The girl curling into her was nice though. She'll have to try her best not to move Kon from that spot. When she arrives in the blacksmith's shop, the thought is erased from Alena's mind. Well, now she knows why the man didn't seem to freak out at the sight of her: he has THIS as a nephew. Is the general store merchant part orc? Or did one of his relatives procreate with one? Or is his nephew adopted? Somehow, Alena thinks it'd be rude to ask so she doesn't. Instead, she clears her throat to gain the man's attention and says, "Good evening, good sir. I would like to inquire about the works of armor you have for sale today."

Sasha would sigh looking around briefly wondering why no one has produced the gem yet...She reaches into her pocket and checks the contents of her purse...She wouldask around seeing if anyone knew of a a black smith, someone who could replace her lutes strings and the best fletcher in town as she required a new bow and some better arrows...

Mostly intrigued by Alena's words, Lyris follows her, begging the question.
"The Power is what sorcerers and sorceresses call their inherent ability to use magic." She pauses, still curiously eyeing Alena up and down. "A dragon you say? What business would you have with such a thing? Some of them aren't half bad you know." Lyris struggles to keep up with her, but manages to do so, able to maneuver quite elegantly through other people.

"im sorry" he replied "i didnt know that. Where i come from we use lizards and snakes for our hides so mammals arent my speciality." he said nervously "i just thought i could get some use of this since this happened to one of our horses on the way here. This and some meat is all i could really salvage" he frowned about losing such a great horse.

Seeing that she'd gained a follower while she was moving around, Alena turns to speak to Lyris. "Ah, I see. Forgive me, but my knowledge on the arts is a little... rusty." She says. She doesn't feel like explaining just why her knowledge would be out of date to a stranger, so she doesn't for now. "This one, I assure you, is bad. Unforgivable even. It abducted one of my closest friends." She says, struggling to keep her rage under control. To become angry here would only serve to cause her to do something stupid and destructive. She doesn't need either of those right now.

Misc: The half-orc glances up at you and grunts. "C'mere. Need to check your fit." He was blunt, it seemed. He didn't stop his work in the slightest, the sounds of metal against metal still filling the air. Soon enough, the horse shoe was set in a bucket of water, a loud hissing and steam rising as a result. He just moved on to the next bit of work he had. He paid no heed to your conversation with the sorceress.

Moko: You end up being referred to the same blacksmith as Alena without knowing it, a music shop, and a bowyer that lived nearby the blacksmith you were referred to.

Drak: "Well... Sorry to hear that, hun. The roads are pretty rough these days. Bandits, orcs, goblins, anything you could think of tend to plague 'em."

"Hmm, dragons don't usually abduct... people. The wicked ones are generally just interested in wealth, unless your friend did something to anger it, or earn its interest."
Lyris pauses, noticing your disdain on the subject. "I apologize if I'm being rude, simply thrusting myself into your situation, however I would like to help you find and rescue your friend. My skill with the Power and my knowledge of things arcane, including dragons, may prove a boon to you in your battle to come."

The half-orc's grunts pulls Alena away from her darkening thoughts and brings her back to the realm of reality where she has a rather real problem. In her memory, fittings tend to be rather thorough, something that can't be done with a sleeping were-tiger in her arms. Immediately she comes up with a solution though. Curling the end of her tail into a small, round cat bed, she places Kon into it and makes her way to the blacksmith for fitting. Movement is rather awkward, but she thinks it's rather worth it since it bothers Kon the least amount possible and she doesn't have to deal with it for too terribly long.

A dark fit of rage momentarily flares up in Alena as Lyris' words, to her, sounds like the sorceress is implying that Kathryn somehow deserved her fate. She forces herself to calm down, thinking that the woman could not have possibly meant that and that killing her in the blacksmith's shop would simply get her kicked out at best. "The dragon literally came out of nowhere, attacked us for no reason, then left with my friend. She did not anger it nor did she have the opportunity to interest it. It simply took her and ran after charring the skin off the girl I hold." She says in a rather strained voice. So all her anger didn't dissipate in time, but at the very least, it should signify to Lyris that she'd do well to think about her words.

A halfling. Camilla shook her head in disbelief as the thief took off at a run. She briefly considered making good on her threat and just pegging her with an eldritch blast, but if she missed or didn't manage to kill her the first time, she would likely be gone forever. Instead, she sprinted after the fun-sized burglar, confidant that she could quickly overtake her.

"Your temper betrays you, I implied no blame, only sought to understand. One can only do that by asking questions."
Lyris was attempting to be diplomatic, but she was beginning to understand she was dealing with a complete hothead.

Heads to the bowyer and steps into the shop "I need a good bow. Something affordable but that has enough force to kill a dragon.."
