Simon and some of the others back off a bit as Sort walks in, in a defensive stance, but still walking in. As some of the other people started to move toward the group with wonder in their eyes, Simon steps forward to shake Sorts' hand, ignoring everyone else.
"Wow, a Paladin, I didn't think their were any of you left. My name is..."
Lieutenant Simon Callay."
Dove interrupts him, as she flies in to the room. She then circles around Simon before landing on Sorts shoulder and speaking in a rather defensive and upset manner.
"How did you..."
"We are both aware of exactly who you are. You may not remember me, but I remember you."
"I would recall a talking bird, Miss. We haven't met before.
"Oh, really? Well, just so you are aware, I only became a dove after I died."
Simon then gave Dove an inquisitive look, but she just ruffled up her feathers and almost...growled at him?
"You see, when I was alive, I was a Paladin myself, in fact I was the daughter of Kelenmabres' ruling king. I was a white furred wolf with a pretty pink nose, as well as golden eyes, that matched my golden hair and tail..."
Simon then gasped loudly, with a horrible look of fear on his face as he took a few steps back. One hand was up covering his mouth, as the other reached back behind him. He was completely speechless, which caused Terra to come forward and speak.
"Simon, what is going on? Who is this?"
Terra spoke with genuine concern in her voice, as Simon had always been their leader, yet now he was very frightened. This caused several people to step back from the group, a few hands went to weapon pommels, but no weapon was drawn. Dove then spoke up for everyone to hear.
"Well, I am so glad you asked. My name was Mirna, Princess Mirna to be exact. Though, I gave up my ties to the royal throne to be with my human husband. The young neko I am perched on, is my son, and the last living Kelenmabrian. Simon here, was part of the army that destroyed Kelenamre, destroyed the Paladin order, as well as the Elemental Champions. To be exact, he was a lieutenant, and was even present, when I got ambushed, overpowered, then drug off to be raped, then have my throat cut."
Simon then interjected, almost frantically. A light sword appeared in Sorts hand as he looked like he wanted to tear Simon to pieces, but Mirna told Sort to calm down.
"I...I.. didn't know, I didn't intend for this to happen."
Mirna then gave a sigh, as she continued to speak.
"You were part of the army that killed the only people capable of stopping the Necromancers, and now they are ready to start a war to take over the world. You were young and impressionable though, as such, your life will be spared. Though, do not think I have forgotten, that until you had your own family, you would have killed any neko you saw, on the spot for being a 'half-breed'. You now fight to help the very same people you would have enslaved, had the Necros not gotten you first. You are, or at least were a racist, you just need these people help now, so you're willing to tolerate them, as long as they prove useful to you. Now, a little history lesson, so you can be aware of where these warriors before you stand, morally speaking."
Mirna then fluttered up to sit on a lantern and speak for everyone to hear, as the fire underneath her took upon a mystical quality, forming a mirror type of illusion, that showed images as she spoke, to show what she was speaking of.
"The Paladin order was founded seven hundred years ago, five hundred years later the Necromancers made a deal with the daemons to help them combat the Paladins, with their elemental powers, this gave birth to the Elemental Champions. These orders were both centered in the city of Kelenmabre, the city in the Dragons' Teeth Mountains. Thirty years ago, the Necromancers and their ilk, were beaten back to almost non-existence. It was then, that Kelenmabre turned it's view to the neighboring kingdoms, and looked to see how else to help the people of the worl. Lamayon for example, had it's king and all but his most ambitious son, murdered. This son then assumed the throne, and began to amass a vast amount of wealth over a short period of time, at the expense of his people. The Paladins were suspicious that he murdered his family for the throne, but couldn't prove it. Though, one day we uncovered his plot to expand Lamayon east, into the uncharted wilderness of forest, that passes north over the Great Desert, and even passes north over the Dragons Teeth Mountains. He was then going to start a war with the Anthro peoples and enslave them, using this easier travel route, that bypassed all the natural defenses. We tried to tell everybody in Lamayon, but due to the kings charming personality, as well as his ability to lie effectively, and his using his soldiers to their full extent to eliminate any threat to his people, so his men would be ready for war, his people loved him. His people loved him so much, they kicked the Paladins out of this country."
Mirna then looked around as the fire now showed official looking buildings being burned down by angry mobs.
"Then after Lamayon helped the rest of the nations destroy us, the Necromancers moved in. The new king then quickly allied himself with Saloran and its' Necromancers. However, shortly after the Necromancers established a presence in Lamayon, the king and his entire family ended up dead, even his mistresses and their offspring. The Necromancers then decided to 'help this crumbling nation' by taking over everything. This has put us in the situation we are in now. But, their is good news. The kings youngest son is still alive, and has the piece missing from the Royal Seal to open the vault and get the royal crown, proving to all who he is. Bad news, is that the Necromancers will kill him if they find him. So, we have to drive the Necros out of Lamayon for him to be safe. My warriors won't kill you for being stupid Simon, but they DON'T have to save you. We are here to help these people that have been enslaved, not the people that would have enslaved them, had they gotten the chance."
Mirna then fluttered down to land on a table that had a map of the city, and began looking it over before looking up to everyone.
"To assault the Necromacer now, would end in defeat. We need to weaken him. The best way to weaken him will be to kill both the Magistrate, Corvas Jouranus, and the Captain of the Guard, Valious Morvas. The magistrate oversees the slave trade when not seeing to the will of his Necromancic masters, all in the hopes he will one day have his own city to rule. Kill him and free all the slaves he has captured from the Anthro nations, and you'll make your enemies angry. Then, they'll come at you stupid. Kill the Captain of the Guard, and you'll weaken his soldiers immensely. Valious is actually already dead. He was reanimated by the Necromancers and is now, nothing more than a puppet of their will. Due to how respected he was, the people valued his opinion. Killing him will help you guys immensely, killing him publically, so that everyone can see what he really was, will help you so, so much more, as they see the lie for what it really was. doing both of these tasks will make the Necromancer in charge of this city vulnerable. So, any questions?"
