Sort's clever intervention came with impeccable timing; had he acted so much as 2 seconds later, Victor's sword would've been drawn, and there'd be no stopping the fight. The slap across his face makes his left eye twitch with annoyance, but then he realizes who's under the hood, and plays along, as instructed.

"Oh, errm...sorry, sir." Victor replies, doing his best to imitate a servant's obedience, though Sort's secret Paladin authority makes calling him "sir" easier than normal. He then follows Sort and Nyx, but not before giving that guard one last glare...one which delivers a message of "that guy just saved all your lives." An accurate message, to be sure; between him and Nyx, those guards stood little chance of survival, much less victory, and it would've taken at least 2 Necros to actually bring them down...but at this point, keeping his blood away from those fiends takes priority.

Sort, Nyx, Zender, and the Bird Perch:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The group is able to proceed down the market district a little bit longer, with Miss Dove perched on Blues horns, giving them directions. She was kind enough to ask his permission before landing on him this time. The people of the crowd, were no longer paying the group any real attention as they traveled through the streets.
"Now, you guys are going underground. You guys will need a few torches, for the underground sewers of this city are inhabited by a feral goblin tribe. They can't see very well, which has unfortunately caused their other senses to become much more acute. Just toss a torch into a room that they are in, or other such bright light, and it should blind them temporarily. It's either that or fight them in the dark, where they have the upper hand. You guys need to be on your guard if you travel the underground here. Now, to the task at hand, my new perch here, is going to be joining your group as the water Champion. You can tell him of the fall of Kelenmabre later, etc. etc.. I am currently taking you guys to a hideout of the rebels in this city. A small group of people that fight for freedom. Sort, be pollite, their leader fought against Kelenmabre, but now realizes how much of a mistake that action was. Seeing the corrupt nobility slaughtered like animals by the even more animalistic Necromancers, showed him how important we really were. Lamayons' king was murdered, and so was his wife. Their son however was sent away, and wears a necklace that is part of a magical seal that holds the crown of Lamayon. Once all is said and done, he shall unlock the seal, tae the crown and become Lamayons new king, and Furon will have a new ally, and Saloran will lose one. You guys shall meet him in the resistance, he doesn't know who he is, so don't tell him yet. Also, there is a necromancer in this city hunting for him, and plausible deniability, is the best deniability. The Necromancer is named Cavarin. He uses the souls of his fallen opponents to fuel his physical powers. He uses a large war-hammer, and wears a full suit of heavy plate mail, both empowered by magic. He is a physical fighter that, when in his armor, is almost indestructible. To have a chance of defeating him, you need to catch him, when he is not wearing his armor. Sierra was here in the city, but she moved on, so you shouldn't have to worry about her at least."
The group then arrived at a sewer grate, and Miss Dove instructed them to climb down, which they did. The sewer itself, was dark and damp as expected, but Sorts light magic, was able to light the way. The group traveled for several more minutes before coming to a door. Miss Dove then instructed Sort to knock on the door, which he did. A few moments later the door swung open to reveal a few frightened looking people, as well as a Dax and a Lilia

Dax and Lilia: Resistance headquarters
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Terra gives Dax's shoulder a gentle pat as he comes over to stand by her, but Simon is now fully focused on LIlia.
"Well, ermm... I'm sorry, I can't be too careful, having rescued almost a hundred anthro people before they could be sold off as slaves. I fought against Kelenmabre, when our leader convinced us, that they were evil and out to conquer the world for themselves, only know I realize how much of a mistake that was. With the Necromancers slaughtering all who stand before them, we need the Paladins and the Elemental Champions more than ever. If you are part of a Paladin group you have to help us, I'm sorry for jumping you like that, but my young associates here, are known to be reckless."
Simon seemed sincere, though Lilia had only a few moments to consider what he was saying. A knock on one of the side doors caught everyones attention as it did now match the pattern of the other knocks. Simon and the others readied their weapons, Terra litely pushing Dax out of the way, as she readied what looked like two short swords. Terra then moved forward and stood aside the door, before flinging it open in a rapid movement, showing Sort, and the rest of his group.
By the time you realize this doesn't say anything. It's too late to stop reading.

Dax felt much better as Terra tapped his shoulder. She must have sensed his discomfort and that made him feel even better that she had noticed. He felt bad though about the way he had treated the man. He was wrong about him. He may have been against them at one time but now he was wholeheartedly on their side. He shouldn't have gotten so angry at him and suddenly before he could apologize for his behavior they all heard a knock and he noticed as everyone tensed up it wasn't the right one. He raised his shield still strapped to his arm and the blade extended from his arm and he stood near Terra where she had pushed him. He noticed the swords and pledged to ask a question about them later. He put them down as he saw his friends,"Stand down! Its friends." He said putting his weapons away.

Blue simply nodded to the doves request then steadied his head to allow her to land. Prefering to drift at the back of the group but due to his passenger giving them direction he stayed close enough for the others sake. Listening and doing his best to understand some of the unfamiliar topics. The first one however was generally know him, when Blue did decide he needed to break his isolation and enter a town he did his best to stick to the sewers. So he was accustom to wandering the dark underbellies of cities even if the smell could be disagreeable at times and the tunnels vacant of most life unlike the goblin tribes and rebels of this one. The next turn of the conversation on the other hand had him completely lost. The mention of being the groups new water champion being at the forefront. Not sure what it means but considering he's hearing the information from a dove that happens to be the mother of a light wielding wolf. There was no chance that this is a small incident that he's ran head long into. Then the mentioning of a name, a city or perhaps a nation that Blue has never heard even the slightest reference to in his life. He says the name a few times to himself to help commit it to memory and to become familiar with its pronounciation. While his normal routine was to avoid cities for various reasons. The concept had fascinated him for years. Often imagining the layout of cities he had visited in long isolation. Thinking of all the new things he's never seen and foods he'd never tried. This time was no different, losing himself to the machinations of his mind as he idly followed the group. Catching a few pieces of the conversation every now and then. Names mostly, like the real name of this groups leader and a necromancer that he certainly wouldn't want to meet on a good day. Blue finished his daydreaming by the time this merry band had reach the sewer entrance. It felt good to be in a somewhat familiar setting even if the situation wasn't its usual case. He kept his spot towards the back of the group as they made their way throught tunnels. Keeping an eye on every shadow and an ear open to every sound as they moved. Blue didn't relish the thought of being attacked but well adapted goblins in these tight conditions, even with plentiful if somewhat vile water to use. He cast one look back the tunnel they had came when the reached the door before focusing on what may lie just beyond it. But Blue was still caught off guard by it. When he thought rebels he imagined a small band of combat hardens individuals sitting around a small fire in a cistern not the population of a small village. Absent mindedly saying Well this certainly isn't something you see in a sewer.

Lilia nods her head in all the right places, trying to keep the internal smile she's got from becoming external as the leader goes through his apology as she predicted. Really, so easy to play people if you know their desires and weaknesses. Before she can work out any kind of deal though, Sortaix and everyone else, along with a lizard man she doesn't know, comes through and she has to restrain a sigh. Really, now her best bargaining chip is off the table since she can't threaten not to let Sortaix meet with this leader. Well, time for damage control, she guesses.

"Resistance group, meet Paladin Sortaix. You might not want to attack or else he may have to defend himself. I'm not sure how many would get hurt, fatally or otherwise, if he has to defend himself and I don't want to have to travel with his guilty conscience." she says, hoping no one's impulsive enough to attack before her message gets through.

Nyx silently regarded the Taisho of their merry gang of white knight misfits highly for getting her and Victor out of that situation, she would never admit it out loud but she respected the white night. she looked over to victor and realized she still owed the group an explination for yukari existing within her sword, before opening her mouth she realized she saw lilia and Dax along will several Nekos, her ears perked up slightly before she silenced her excitement and proceded to stand against the wall.

"And Victor Stein, the Sword that Cleaves Thunder." Victor chimes in, adding onto Lilia's introduction of Paladin Sort. Seeing Nyx shy away, he considers saying that she's "shy around new folks," but decides against it; if she wants to be alone for now, she can have that. In reply to Blue's comment on the Resistance's hideout location, Victor says: "All the more reason to keep it down here. I doubt the sewers would be the first place they'd search for rebels, right?" He turns towards the Resistance leader on that last bit, paying compliment to his choice of location.

Flaring Tempers and Flaring Hearts:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Simon and some of the others back off a bit as Sort walks in, in a defensive stance, but still walking in. As some of the other people started to move toward the group with wonder in their eyes, Simon steps forward to shake Sorts' hand, ignoring everyone else.
"Wow, a Paladin, I didn't think their were any of you left. My name is..."
Lieutenant Simon Callay."
Dove interrupts him, as she flies in to the room. She then circles around Simon before landing on Sorts shoulder and speaking in a rather defensive and upset manner.
"How did you..."
"We are both aware of exactly who you are. You may not remember me, but I remember you."
"I would recall a talking bird, Miss. We haven't met before.
"Oh, really? Well, just so you are aware, I only became a dove after I died."
Simon then gave Dove an inquisitive look, but she just ruffled up her feathers and almost...growled at him?
"You see, when I was alive, I was a Paladin myself, in fact I was the daughter of Kelenmabres' ruling king. I was a white furred wolf with a pretty pink nose, as well as golden eyes, that matched my golden hair and tail..."
Simon then gasped loudly, with a horrible look of fear on his face as he took a few steps back. One hand was up covering his mouth, as the other reached back behind him. He was completely speechless, which caused Terra to come forward and speak.
"Simon, what is going on? Who is this?"
Terra spoke with genuine concern in her voice, as Simon had always been their leader, yet now he was very frightened. This caused several people to step back from the group, a few hands went to weapon pommels, but no weapon was drawn. Dove then spoke up for everyone to hear.
"Well, I am so glad you asked. My name was Mirna, Princess Mirna to be exact. Though, I gave up my ties to the royal throne to be with my human husband. The young neko I am perched on, is my son, and the last living Kelenmabrian. Simon here, was part of the army that destroyed Kelenamre, destroyed the Paladin order, as well as the Elemental Champions. To be exact, he was a lieutenant, and was even present, when I got ambushed, overpowered, then drug off to be raped, then have my throat cut."
Simon then interjected, almost frantically. A light sword appeared in Sorts hand as he looked like he wanted to tear Simon to pieces, but Mirna told Sort to calm down.
"I...I.. didn't know, I didn't intend for this to happen."
Mirna then gave a sigh, as she continued to speak.
"You were part of the army that killed the only people capable of stopping the Necromancers, and now they are ready to start a war to take over the world. You were young and impressionable though, as such, your life will be spared. Though, do not think I have forgotten, that until you had your own family, you would have killed any neko you saw, on the spot for being a 'half-breed'. You now fight to help the very same people you would have enslaved, had the Necros not gotten you first. You are, or at least were a racist, you just need these people help now, so you're willing to tolerate them, as long as they prove useful to you. Now, a little history lesson, so you can be aware of where these warriors before you stand, morally speaking."
Mirna then fluttered up to sit on a lantern and speak for everyone to hear, as the fire underneath her took upon a mystical quality, forming a mirror type of illusion, that showed images as she spoke, to show what she was speaking of.
"The Paladin order was founded seven hundred years ago, five hundred years later the Necromancers made a deal with the daemons to help them combat the Paladins, with their elemental powers, this gave birth to the Elemental Champions. These orders were both centered in the city of Kelenmabre, the city in the Dragons' Teeth Mountains. Thirty years ago, the Necromancers and their ilk, were beaten back to almost non-existence. It was then, that Kelenmabre turned it's view to the neighboring kingdoms, and looked to see how else to help the people of the worl. Lamayon for example, had it's king and all but his most ambitious son, murdered. This son then assumed the throne, and began to amass a vast amount of wealth over a short period of time, at the expense of his people. The Paladins were suspicious that he murdered his family for the throne, but couldn't prove it. Though, one day we uncovered his plot to expand Lamayon east, into the uncharted wilderness of forest, that passes north over the Great Desert, and even passes north over the Dragons Teeth Mountains. He was then going to start a war with the Anthro peoples and enslave them, using this easier travel route, that bypassed all the natural defenses. We tried to tell everybody in Lamayon, but due to the kings charming personality, as well as his ability to lie effectively, and his using his soldiers to their full extent to eliminate any threat to his people, so his men would be ready for war, his people loved him. His people loved him so much, they kicked the Paladins out of this country."
Mirna then looked around as the fire now showed official looking buildings being burned down by angry mobs.
"Then after Lamayon helped the rest of the nations destroy us, the Necromancers moved in. The new king then quickly allied himself with Saloran and its' Necromancers. However, shortly after the Necromancers established a presence in Lamayon, the king and his entire family ended up dead, even his mistresses and their offspring. The Necromancers then decided to 'help this crumbling nation' by taking over everything. This has put us in the situation we are in now. But, their is good news. The kings youngest son is still alive, and has the piece missing from the Royal Seal to open the vault and get the royal crown, proving to all who he is. Bad news, is that the Necromancers will kill him if they find him. So, we have to drive the Necros out of Lamayon for him to be safe. My warriors won't kill you for being stupid Simon, but they DON'T have to save you. We are here to help these people that have been enslaved, not the people that would have enslaved them, had they gotten the chance."
Mirna then fluttered down to land on a table that had a map of the city, and began looking it over before looking up to everyone.
"To assault the Necromacer now, would end in defeat. We need to weaken him. The best way to weaken him will be to kill both the Magistrate, Corvas Jouranus, and the Captain of the Guard, Valious Morvas. The magistrate oversees the slave trade when not seeing to the will of his Necromancic masters, all in the hopes he will one day have his own city to rule. Kill him and free all the slaves he has captured from the Anthro nations, and you'll make your enemies angry. Then, they'll come at you stupid. Kill the Captain of the Guard, and you'll weaken his soldiers immensely. Valious is actually already dead. He was reanimated by the Necromancers and is now, nothing more than a puppet of their will. Due to how respected he was, the people valued his opinion. Killing him will help you guys immensely, killing him publically, so that everyone can see what he really was, will help you so, so much more, as they see the lie for what it really was. doing both of these tasks will make the Necromancer in charge of this city vulnerable. So, any questions?"

Blue was about to agree with Victor as Sort started to enter the room but decided now wasn't really the time. Taking a few tenative steps in before stopping to watch the situation from a relatively safe distance. Scanning his amber eyes across the room, taking in the people with a neutral expression but internally taking note of many before turning his attention to conversation between Sort, the dove, and who Blue guessed was the rebel leader. Attempting to maintain his neutral expression as he watched but curiosity slowly crept in. This Simon must have a dirty secret or bad history with Sorts mother to react like that and there it was, laid bare by Mirna. Causing Blues expression to change, foregoing his previous plan to appear neutral. Allowing a cold look to surface to match the look in his eyes. Simon was starting to remind him more of the estate guards than a rebel leader. Remaining almost perfectly still as Mirna told the history of her and Sorts order and city. Listening intently but unwilling to take his eyes off Simon. The feel of his collar constricting his throat as he took a deep, slow breath brought dark thoughts to his mind. Blue shook his head to clear his mind and turned his gaze to Mirna. Catching the last few images in the lanterns flames before she moved to the table and announced her plan. Blue had a few questions but chose to keep them to himself. He shifts his weight and lightly grips the handles of his arm blades. If we're splitting up for this, I'd like to go after the magistrate.

Today is going to be a sighing day. She just knows it. First she sighs when Zender forces his introduction after she introduces Sortaix. A "Sword that cleaves thunder" doesn't mean shit to these people yet and introducing himself as such is only ego-boosting at this point. Fuck, she hasn't even introduced HERSELF yet because she knows that her name, both her actual one and her title as the Wind of Death, is utterly pointless as a negotiating tool at the moment. She sighs again when the damn bird starts ANTAGONIZING the DAMN LEADER of this damn resistance. Guilting the fucker ISN'T the way to make him loyal to them. They can make him work for them through coercion, sure, but then he DEFINITELY won't be giving 100%, unsure of whether he should be expecting that knife soon. Especially since the bitch said we DON'T HAVE TO FRICKING SAVE HIM. How the FUCK can she swing that into something REMOTELY near anything positive!? And when the fuck did she become HER warrior!?

There's so much so diplomatically wrong with what the bird said that it's literally making her head hurt. She understands that the man lead directly to her downfall and that that's a strong reason to hold a grudge, but that grudge is going to make everything harder than it has to be. Time for some damage control. Simon needs to at least think that at least some of them aren't plotting against him.

"Lady," Lilia refuses to use her actual name, "I realize you're less than happy about your fate and have every right to be, but these are people we'll be working with in the near future. We need to at least be civil rather than using guilt trips and veiled threats. When it comes down to it, he's the head of this rebellion and their trusted leader, though that trust is probably shot to hell thanks to your oh so public airing of laundry, so it'd behoove us to save him if necessary. I also don't recall you being able to tell me who and who not to kill or being made YOUR warrior, but I'll let those slide. Now, if the magistrate has to be assassinated, I'll help with that. That's kind of my forte. But I'm helping THEM and MYSELF. Not YOU. It's just lucky our objectives coincide." She still feels a bit silly talking to a bird, but what the hell ever.

Dax stood impassively through it all. He had to agree with Lilia though. He personally didn't like the man anymore now that he heard what he was responsible for. Knowing now what he had done and what he was responsible for... he would work with him. He certainly wouldn't like it though. He decided his talents would work best for the Captain and he would do that,"I'll keep my opinions about the good leader to myself but I do think we should work with him and not against him. No matter he did before. He's here now and we have like minded goals. With hat done I would like to go take out the captain if the guard. I'm certainly not... quiet." He said with a small smile. He wouldn't say it but he kinda hoped Terra would be part of his group. She was pretty cute he thought even if people say cats and dogs can't get along. She was perfectly amiable to him so far and hopefully it would last.

Victor remains silent as Lilia basically drops some verbal powder kegs on Mirna, letting her vent her frustrations for now. Better to get them off her chest here, than to have her thinking about them in the next battle. Speaking of which...

It seems the team will split up between killing the Magistrate and the guard Captain. For Victor, the decision on where to go is an easy one. "I'll go wherever Nyx goes." he says, hardly missing a beat. After what transpired with that uppity guard from before they found this place, he'd rather be with Nyx for protection. Gods know what lecherous devil-men may be lurking in alleyways, waiting to ambush her with a rag soaked in knock-out chemicals...not that he doubts her ability to defend herself, of course...but still...

Nyx slowly holds her hand to her chin and thinks, what....would her sister do if she was in this exact situation...take out the military infrastructure to weaken the city...a sound tactical decision, she didn't hear victor's response about going with her when she realized something that made her face glow with excitement, it was visible that she made a large excited smile. her sister was not in the village on that fateful day! She could still be alive! She excitedly spun and her ears perked up and blurted out
"I'll take out the guard captain!!!!"
She realized her excitement transferred over to her statement and hastily tried to regain her composure

Battle Plan:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Mirna gave Lilia a questioning look before going back to the city map spread below her. She made her way over to the east edge of the city and looked over to Nyx and Zan.
"Alright, you who want to go after Valious need to go here, in the Residential District. He is overseeing the security of a small party being held by a rich trader, to cater to nobility and other rich people. The trader is of little consequence, he sells weapons and armor to the city guards, don't kill him if you can help it, please. Now, the party has tight security, you'll need to figure some way into it, to get to Valious. Remember, if you kill him in front of the crowd and they see the necromancic stone in his chest where his heart should be, they'll heavily consider their choice of helping the Saloran Necromancers.
Mirna then walked over to the west side of the map and then continued to speak once more.
"Those of you who want the Magistrate Corvas, you're target is here in the Market District. He'll be overseeing the 'breaking in' of several new people that have been enslaved. He'll have a substantial guard presence with him, you'll need to decide whether to confront, or avoid his guards. He'll be in a large warehouse, near the eastern wall. These helpful people here should be able to help you."
Some of the resitance fighters looked a little unsure of themselves, but Terra stepped forward and spoke to the group.
"I can help you guys make your way to the Magistrate, if you are truly here to help us."
Then the young man who helped Lilia earlier stepped forward to speak as well.
"And, I can help whoever is going after the guard captain!"
After a few moments, the courage of these two helped and the rest of the resistance came forward and pledged their assistance, even Simon. After which, the people then split up into their groups. During which Mirna flies over and lands on Lilias shoulder and whispers to her...
"I can tell you're not happy with how I treated Simon, but it was necessary for me to shake loyalty of the people following him, and I was trying to raise your suspicion of him. Let's just say that Simon isn't as dedicated or as kind hearted as he seems, and that you need to keep an eye on him. He can lead you to some very important information."
With her message delivered, Mirna flies up and in a flash of light disappears, now leaving the group to make their own decisions.

Blue nods silently as Mirna went over the plan. The memory of the slave market he was kept in until his purchase rolls through his mind. Shaking his head to force the memory back and focus on the task at hand. Casting a look at Terra as he moves from his spot and starts to walk over to the map. This might not be a boost to your confidence in me or this group but I was not planning on helping anyone today. I've just been along for the ride....for now. Once he reaches the city map he leans over to study it, focusing largely on the area around the east wall. Letting his tail and shoulders droop as he sighs and mumble to himself I really need to work on my people skills.

Dax approaches the young man who spoke up in defense of him before. Simon's son he presumed. He clapped him on the shoulder,"Thank you... for before. You didn't have to stick up for me. I know its not easy to stand against your father. Mine wasn't very happy with me once upon a time. When I joined the guard. He was beside himself with fury because he knew I wouldn't go far in it. I didn't care though. I wanted to serve my country and my princess. He didn't understand that so I did it anyway and now here I am. I'll come back one day and he'll be proud... so I never caught your name. I figure I'll need it if we assault the captain. It will seem awfully silly if I kept yelling "Simon's son!" In battle!" He said with a grin.

Lilia flicks a questioning eyebrow at the bird, trying with all her will not to swat at the thing to get it the hell off her, before she goes poof in a flash of light and just sighs. Why can't people just come out and TELL motivations and plans and shit like that? Why do they have to make things a mystery? It's not like she's growing any more trust for the cat bait by being left in the dark until convenient for it. Still, an assassin doesn't live long by discarding information. If she has reason to believe something's up, then she needs to be on guard at least a little, if only so she can get that information, whatever it is, out of him. Knowledge is power after all and power allows you options outside of brute force to work with. She sighs again and steels herself up to get to work.

"Well, if you're ready to go, then lead the way." she says to the girl who'll be heading the assassination squad. When she turns to the reptilian man who'll be joining them on their mission, she has a small bit of practiced confusion on her face. "I never caught your name. Either of you for that matter." She decides it'd be a bit more diplomatic to disregard his previous statement. She doesn't know anything about the man, so the idea that he was dragged into this isn't one she can deny.

Blue pushes himself away from the table and turns to who he assumes is another of Sorts traveling companions considering the slightly heated conversation she and Mirna had a moment ago. The risk of being attacked by airborne monstrosities and guards is considerably low down here in the sewer so I think an introduction could be in order. My name is Blue Scales but you can call me Blue for short. He then approaches her to a distance he's comfortable with, which is about double his arms reach. So from what I gather we'll be part of the team to go after the magistrate. I also assume from what you said earlier that you're familiar with this kind of thing. Blue then starts to rub the back of his neck. As the side of his finger rubs against the cold metal of his collar he wishes to himself that he could take the damnable thing off but at the same time wanting to keep it, if for sentimental reasons only.

Lilia nods as Blue introduces himself and notes his touching of the collar on his neck for later consideration. For now, they're comrades, possibly travelling companions if he gets dragged into this whole Elemental Champions thing, so she doesn't intend to use anything she learns against him. Well, except for the fact that he seems more than a bit paranoid, muttering about aerial enemies and guards not likely to attack and staying well out of her reach. Her arm reach anyway. Red Wind could clear that distance without a problem but, again, he's not hostile.

"Lilia. Nice to meet ya, Blue." she says cheerily. Then she gets down to business. " And yes, you'd assume right. Assassination isn't a new thing to me. Not by a long shot." she doesn't give out any more information than that though. She doesn't know the man, doesn't know what he'd do with the information. Hell, other than her slip up in front of Thor, she's never even confirmed that she was an assassin in front of the others yet and she kinda liked most of them! OK, not really, but she hasn't really interacted with the others yet outside of high tension encounters with Sortaix.

Blue forces himself to stop rubbing his collar as he rushes to think of something to occupy his hands to prevent him from starting again. Half-heartedly chuckling to himself as he realizes that was likely obvious to anyone I going to go practice a little while the team figures out the plan. He then returned to the spot he stood in not long after entering the room and sighs again before sitting down. Blue holds his hands out, palms facing each other and draws a drop of water between them. Which he starts to manipulate by twisting his hand and moving his fingers. This would appear to most like he was just figgeting with his hands
