Examining the area you see that the fire is coming from turrets based behind the slots. From what you have seen they seem to fire in either long or short automatic burst. With a total of six it could prove difficult to get rid of them all without proper team work. Zen is waiting behind the wall with her wood frame long rifle ready to take some pot shots at them.

Riya

You fortunately find a rag nearby which makes the task of cleaning the blood away a lot easier. The controls seem foreign at first with many knobs, buttons, and switches though you find a set of emergency instructions for a hard restart. The first step is to deactivate all of the turbines using the row of flip switches. After that you ease the coolant level up to four a large blue knob shows the coolant level. Finally you turn the reactors back on and arm the regulators. Simple enough despite the sea of buttons before you.

After flicking, turning, adjusting the controls in the order specified, Riya pressed forward. Of the reactor chamber had an exit other than the door she came through, that was openable, then she would head that way. She didn't know how long it would take to prepare the assault on the hanger, so knowing her way around would be rather helpful. She still wanted to make her way to the bridge to recover the crew logs. The whole reason she was here was based on the tip-off from her colleague. Something here on this ship was related to the runes or her psychic abilities. And she wasn't prepared to leave without completing her investigation. If there was no through-route the she would be forced to backtrack and take the other corridor, hopefully leading towards the bridge.

The reactors rumble and flow with power as the sequence seems to have worked. You find no other way out of the room and make back for the hallway. The hallway seems long and gives no immediate indication if it leads to the bridge. With time of the essence back tracking or going forward must be decided upon soon.

Garian thought about it, looking down at him and then the others once more, "Call all of your men here into the courtyard at once. I want you to give them all a message." He told him and waited for a reply. He knew that what this man said was true, if he died then another would take his place so he needed to make sure that the mercs knew that there was only one person they took commands from.

"And you decided to follow? Possibly find her? Among other reasons. I think I can understand that.", Friday will say in response, "I'm afraid my story isn't quite on the scale as yours. Just a guy who got tired of working for corrupt people in a corrupt business. I had to make decisions I didn't like because we had to keep the businessmen and criminals happy. Sure, I made money but at what cost? Out here I can be me. Simple as that, almost."

"At least you live life free. If I so much as show my face in the wrong place they'll find me" she says a bit depressed. "Still though it must be fun being able to live as you do. Exploits and all" she says with a smirk.

The old man pulls out a small comm piece from his coat. "Bring everyone out" he says as over the next few minutes his men start to pour out and gather around in the courtyard. They total about seventy or so men. A rather large outfit for such a small base. "Got them all here just like you asked".

Since they were already trained on her, Tik-Tik elected to draw their fire as best she could. While the turrets were focused on her, Zen would be able to get some shots in at them, and hopefully take a turret or two out. Should they then turn to focus on Zen, Tik-Tik will pop out and start firing on the turrets as well. If they stay aimed at Tik-Tik, then Zen would be free to keep firing. The goal is to bounce the turrets back and forth between targets, opening them up to attack from the other person. However, should they split their focus after Zen starts firing, the two of them will keep cover and try to take advantage of the times between bursts.

You draw there fire and Zen fires off a few shots that miss. The aim draws to her and you manage to take out two of the turrets. Over the next few minutes you both draw fire back and forth until you manage to take them all out. The final count is three for each of you. The door seems to open, but only yields a layer revealing another door of the same fashion still present. Though this door has knobs and switches on it. A possible puzzle joy.

He nodded his head and looked at all the men there and looked at the old man, "Tell them they now work for me. That includes you." He told him, "You will use your connections and bring more people in. There will also be changes around here and these men will help bring them about. One of those changes will be to establish a guard and police force to protect these people from thugs and to get those lavishing in wealth off their asses to help."

Forward is the direction of the future Riya thought to herself as she abandoned the path behind her. She had made it this far without doubting herself so there was no reason to start doing so now. She gave the chained up infected a quick pat on the head and took off down past the reactor.

you continue forward down the long corridor and eventually find yourself in the midsection of the ships speed lift. Long tracks with broad cars suspended over a seemingly bottomless pit. You see one fly by with a hail of blaster fire on it and the sound of infected all over it. Nearby is a small console which seems to have a button for calling cars to the station.

"Boys we're under new management. My friend here not o lay sparred me, but saved me from the vile treachery of our previous employer. You all know that we're better than that other rift raft who go around murdering and pillaging. We just sell them the tools they use to do that" a brief laugh goes up in the crowd, but quickly silences. "Now though, we shall try our hand at being the good guys. Crazy I know, but I've always had a soft spot for high stakes ventures like this. So go warm up the commas and call in everyone. With the struggles we have ahead of us we'll need all the support we can get" he says as the men seem a bit confused, but end up cheering anyways. He turns to you "My men they aren't bad, just gullible and after coin. Though I have to say, squeezing the nobles out of their safety is going to be a tough job. Things down here are bad, but up there it's worse. At least here a man has the decency to shoot you in the back himself rather than use a hired goon".

Tied for score, Tik-Tik and Zen progress into the doorway. Tik-Tik would have to keep that in mind for later, as she felt a little competitive by the end of it. Tik-Tik examined the puzzle, trying to wrap her head around it. Puzzles weren't her strong suit, but she wasn't opposed to solving one if it meant her payday.

You examine the puzzle, but you can't make hide or tail of it. Maybe there were some notes somewhere in one of the two rooms that could help. Or Weech could always try to run algorithms to find the possible combination, but he would need more to go on to have any fruitful efforts.

"Yeah, but it's got its downsides. I'm not exactly playing on the right side of the law that much. I'm wanted by some for my actions, good and bad. It's quite the adventure, though. Part of the price of freedom, I guess.", Friday explains.

"Well you haven't been caught yet so you must be doing something right. Either that or you're just really lucky" she says with a smile turned smirk.

Riya crept up silently towards the panel and pressed the call tram button. If the tram arrived full of infected then she would lure them out before teleporting past them into the hopefully empty tram. Riya would look around for inbound or outbound markers and signs of where the trams went.

You press the button and almost jump when you hear some heavy doors open up on the side of the railway. When they finish a well preserved maintenance cart rolls out onto the path and stops at the intersection you're at. It appears to have been in a remote storage hanger and out of reach of the infected or the crew the whole time.

"The latter, for sure. Out here no matter what you do someone is going to tell you it's wrong. So I just do what I want. Screw those who say otherwise.", Friday exclaims with some passion, "Laws and rules don't do you a lick of good if said laws or rules end up ruining your life. And if you take the chance to make some friends just be sure they can be trusted. I learned that lesson the hard way.... but at least I profited from it."

Garian nodded his head, "Don't worry about it. We'll change everything." He said and looked down at the group and then at the man again, "Come with me and tell me what you know about the other families." He said and started to walk, wanting to go back down into the vault, "I believe we can make a difference, not only here in this city but in surrounding cities as well. We'll clean this city up and other cities will follow our example."

"What the- fine" Karl grumbles before stripping down and showing you that he had no weapons or explosives on him. He sits back down in the chair exposed and otherwise defenseless.

Something compelled her to smile as she set the gun in her lap and leaned forward on the bed. "You've been cooperating, and I don't think it's just because I have the gun. Where is your boss?"
