The man looked at Dax in disbelief, "I ought to just kill your right now, only a mad man could commit these crimes against his home country." he brought the knife to his neck, as the door to the room opened. A tall red head walked in, wearing a long black dress hanging from her form, her petite breast barely protruding from her chest. She looked at the investigator, as she walked over to him slapping him with an intensity that sent loud sounds around the room. "Get the fuck out of here, the man had a right to an attorney." she said with spite in her voice.

The investigator turned around, "Under suspicion of terrorism and martial law, he is not required to have an attorney present." the investigator said, before being slapped once more by the girl. He brought a hand to the back of his face, spitting blood from a split lip, before stabbing the knife into the metal top of the table, embedding it through the thin sheet material. He left the room leaving the girl and Dax alone.

"Dax?" she said.

Dax looks on in disbelief at his savior,"Y-yes? Thank you ma'am."

"My name is Sandy Burns, I am your state appointed attorney, the manner in which they have arrested and interrogated you breaks all civil rights." the woman said, in a fluster of anger. She pulled keys on a chain, trying to find the corresponding key for each of the corresponding restraining mechanism, before finally freeing Dax from his form. She stood kneeling at his feet, affording him a small glimpse down what little cleavage she did have, before she looked up and smiled to him, a fair face with freckles across the bridge of her nose. "There we go, a walking man once more" she said with a smile.

Dax blushes a little as she kneels before him and removes the last restraints,"More like a hobbling man." He gestures to his leg before standing up shakily and offering his hand to her to help her up,"H-here let me help you up."

Sandy pulled herself up with his hand, before in turn pulling him up to his feet from the chair. "I am taking you into custody of the state, let's get you out of here" the woman said, leading him out of the interrogation room. To the right stood the agent, and three other men sitting amongst the machinery that watched the room, as well as recorded it. The agent stepped forward. "You better watch yourself, wouldn't be so strange for you to accidental die in the chaos of a terrorist attack" the man said balling his fist.

The girl tugged at Dax's arm leading him away, taking him from the sight of the guy before Dax could come up with a retort. "The medical staff took good care of your leg, let's just get the hell out of here, you and I?" she said as she continue to clutch at his arm.

Emily quickly realised a problem "Miss..." she grabbed the woman by the shoulders. "I did something terrible but.." she breaks down in tears "it was the only way i could escape. they were going to sell me." she holds up her bloody hands "I killed him"

The doctor took her hands, placing it on the breast above her heart, the blood was dry against the skin of hands. "Listen, between you and me,they deserved it. Just don't say anything to the police unless they ask you directly." the doctor said. She walked across the room, coming back with a tissue, "However we are not done just yet, I am going to need to take a quick X-ray of that leg." the woman said.

Dax wanting to shout at the man's open threat and rough treatment but the Sandy's hold on his arm calmed him considerably,"After you ma'am," He smiles cheerfully at her," Besides if I have to look at these guys ugly mugs any longer I might go mad." He resists the urge to stick his tongue out at the man.

"Hey Eugene, why don't you go look around and see if you can find who is in charge?" Claire said to her partner, whom promptly shrugged before walking off with his dog in tow. Alone she turned back to the girl, before talking once more, "There, a little more privacy between you and me", she said, leading her back towards the white van, which was thankfully now empty. "The rape kit is standard procedure, they grab samples from below your finger tips, photograph and document the incident, scrape samples from you, and catalog the semen so that the bastards can be brought up for charges" she said.

"I am your stat appointed attorney, my job is to prevent you from doing anything stupid and defending you in court. The charges against you are not exactly to be taken lightly Dax" she said with formality. They continued down the corridors of the governmental building, before stepping out through metal detectors towards the main door. They were on the stairwell leading down to the street, the rain whipping down and around them.

His smile fades quickly,"Yes ma'am I know... I don't even know how to prove my innocense. The only man who can is dead by his own hand..."

She looked to him with amethyst eyes, catching the glint of the only light on the street coming from the generator powered lights of the governmental building. "It's best to not talk about the case in the open, where anyone can hear, especially one as sensitive as yours. They are trying you for treason, and terrorism, both punishable by the death penalty, so it would be prudent to not talk about it. Let's go back to my place and get away from all this to prepare your defense" the girl says walking towards the parking lot.

Dax is mesmerized by her beautiful eyes,"S-sorry... If i may be so bold to say it but you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen..." He says this as he walks with her to the parking lot.

Emily nodded "thank you" she planted a kiss on the cheek of the doctor she didnt know why. but it felt like a proper form of thanks. she moved over to the X-ray table.

"It is bold to say that. Look I am here to defend your supposed innocence, not be your girl friend, so get your head out of the clouds." They walked into the parking lot, the girl clicking the button on a key-chain, causing a hot yellow Maserati to ignite it's engine, as the lights came on. "Hope in" she said, before swinging into the deluxe racing car.

The doctor blushed deeply, taken aback by the gesture, before following in behind the girl. She placed a lead apron across her body all except the exposed knee, before moving a ceiling mounted x-raying machine to rest above the afflicted area. Stepping back across the room she talked, "Just hold it like that for a few minutes" the doctor said, before a loud click was heard. She came back to remove the apron. "Now we just wait," she said sitting down on the tip of the leather examining table.

Dax blushes profusely as he gets in the passenger seat,"Wow this is a nice car."

"It pays to be a power attorney, a woman working the legal system" she said not trying to sound grand. After all it only took 8 years to become a fully fledged lawyer. They begun to drive down the road, weaving between the stopped cars.
