Intending to keep the act up, she giggled again as she looked up to the horse man. "Oh, why little ol' me? Oh, I'm lost. I was out here with some friends camping, but then I saw a really pretty butterfly float by, and I just had to catch it to show to my friends! But it wouldn't let me." She pouted, miming trying to catch an elusive butterfly and failing. "Then I kinda sort of just forgot which way camp was, and I've just been wandering around."

She hopped up, brushing herself off and making sure that, while it seemed innocent, each movement was meant to show off a bit of herself. She then gave a sunny smile as she cutely looked at the Horseman, and asked "Why? What are you doing out here cutey?"

The gore in this game continues to amaze Lulu. It actually showed the thing cut into pieces with it's blood spilling all over the floor instead of a lazy sprite of the Imp falling over dead. She half wonders just how many gruesome death animations there are in this game. But curiosity will have to wait; there's still more of these things around. She could go and help Sheera like Melwin just did, but that seems like it'd be overkill. Instead, she seeks out the Large Imp that cut them off earlier. It's probably best to get that thing out of the way while she can.

Arashi was thinking along those same lines as well. Stunned a bit at the gore of the game he had to really think to himself they were going the extra mile for that "M" rating. Still they had the same idea on what to coin this situation. Get the bigger target out of the picture and quick. As he moves towards the imp he figured that the best way to handle this is with a stun. So hopefully he manages that with a strike from his shield aimed right for the large imp's head in an attempt to smack him silly.

Rosa quickly equips her new armor, blushing and being quick with her pants so no one saw her private areas. She wondered if the game had given her underwear when she began? With her new armor on she holds up her old armor. "How much can I get for these?" She asks the store owner.

Candy:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The horse man looked Candy over as she continued her display of air-headed-ness. He did spy her occasional shows of skin, which got him interested in her. The horse then stepped forward to her.
"I'm here with a few friends of mine. Some of them are even mages like you. They wanted to study these old ruins, and see if they were able to find out anything about the people who built this place. Here, I'll show you where my mage friends are."
The horse said, as he extended a hand toward Candy, as he offered to lead her inside the old fortress.

Lulu and Arashi:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The two warriors saw the battle before them. Roric was busy fighting the large imp, as it ducked and weaved around him. Roric however, was also able to stay out of the creatures reach. He ducked and weaved his way around the imps attacks. The imp was as of yet, still unable to get at Roric, but the old man was beginning to show signs of fatigue. The two were able to make it over to the battle, and were now facing the High Imp themselves.

Rosa:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Rosa went about changing her armor, she noticed that she was wearing some normal cotton undergarments. She also noticed a strange weight suddenly take place in her coin purse. Once she opened it, she saw a small golden egg sitting amongst her coins. It had the number 30 carved into it, stating its value. Once she returned to the clerk at the counter with the armor she had removed, he gave it a look over.
"Well, they looked a little scratched up. I'll give you ten coins for it, but that's all you'll get out of me."
The man said as he puled out some coins for the transaction.

Candy thought about this carefully. There was a chance that taking his hand would result in her being captured, and who knew what happening to her. On the other hand, though she doubted this, perhaps it wasn't as bad as things seemed. In the end, she decided that for now, she would go along with this, figuring that if he tried to do anything funny she could fireball his ass.

"Hey, maybe some of them are my friends! And ancient ruins, wowy that sounds so exciting, maybe they got some of that neato art-writing...oh what's it called again? Hieygryphics or some such?" She tapped a finger on her chin as she reached out to take the horse man's hand. She kept herself prepared, the thought of the fireball or lightning spell loose if he tried anything funny.

Rosa was glad to know she at least had underwear. She noticed her coin purse was suddenly heavier and was surprised to find a gold egg, worth 30 gold! Between that and the gold she now had 65 gold, plenty to buy some new weapons and maybe some other useful items. She frowns a bit at the price she was getting. "Ugh...Fine, ten gold with be enough..." She'll still have 75 gold though, which will most likely be enough for what she needs. If nothing else happens at the stand she'll go find a place that sells weapons for her class and maybe find a place that sells useful goods or other items useful for her class.

Seeing her opponent in front of her, Lulu wastes no time leaping into the fray. Roric looks like he's seen better days and she's not sure how long he'd last alone against that thing. Some side part of her brain registers the fact that age seems to have an actual effect on gameplay, but it's not a part that she's actively acknowledging right now. Right now, she takes a diagonal swipe across the beast, trying to get it to back of the old man and/or slice it in two if she could manage it.

(Sorry I've been away!)

Ava carefully examined the female clothes, sympathizing with whomever wore them previously. The poor girl must have lost them in a fight or something. The blood, however, piqued her curiosity. Why was it there? Ava doubted that the programmers of the game would have included periods for girls, so she couldn't figure out what it was from. Nonetheless, she continued to follow the footprints deeper into the forest.

Arashi would however stick to his initial plan of attack and bashes his shield right against the large imp in an attempt to stagger it so that the two could then make use of their own best attacks and take this thing out quickly. They didn't have time to mess around, no no, they had to kill these little demons fast.

Candy:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Candys' ruse works perfectly. The horse man helps her up and leads her through the gates. Once inside the gates, candy sees something, that is not good however. She can see four bandits standing in a small circle over by a very large door, with intricate carvings all over it. Between them is what looks like the remains of a makeshift battering ram, cut from a small tree. However, the thing is cleanly split, straight down the middle. The horse leads her through the courtyard and to a normal sized door. Once he opens it up, Candy can see a good sized chamber, with three men sitting at a large banquet table eating. The three men look up at Candy, one of them an orc, one a lion morph, and the last a human. The orc speaks up.
"What is going on here, Brin?"
"Oh, she is just one of the mages that are here to study the ruins. She got lost and I told her, that her friends are here, and we could help get them back together."
The orc then looks at Candy for a moment and smiled.
"Well, in that case, she is welcome here. Your friends are all downstairs."
The orc said as he suppressed a chuckle. At which point the horse walked over and lead Candy to a another doorway that lead down a set of circular stairs. The horse let Candy walk in front of him, and as soon as she made it to the bottom of the stairs, and walked around the middle pillar of the stairs, she saw that she was in a dungeon. In front of her were several cells with people in them. However, she did not get much of a chance to look, before the horse hit her in the back of the head, nearly knocking her out. He then pushed her into an empty cell, and took her staff, before locking her in it.
"Well, I thought you mages were supposed to be smart?"
He said with a hearty laugh.
"You just sit tight, there Little woman. I'll come visit you once my shift is over."
He said as he looked Candy over once more, before walking away and up the stairs.

Rosa:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Rosa noticed that the current store did not have any daggers she could use and so went outside. She then noticed a store that appeared to be a blacksmiths and went inside. Inside there, she found swords, and daggers, galore, as well as a few shields. The owner was a large bear morph, who gave her a polite greeting. Once inside the store, Rosa was able to see a few things that might pique her interest.
Steel sword: 20 coins (2 more damage per hit. Unable to do stealth kills.)
Steel Dagger: 15 coins ( 1 more damage per hit.)
Steel shield: 22 coins ( 6 points of D.R.)

Ava:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

After Ava continued on past the battle scene, she made her way out to a large clearing in the forest. In the clearing she saw the ruins of what looked like an old outpost. The building was tall with walls surrounding all of it, and it was shaped much like a small castle, only the bricks were all white, and appeared to glow in the sun. Ava could see that the trail went in that direction, and as she looked at the tall outpost, she saw what looked like a woman in mage robes, being lead into the castle by what appeared to be a guard of some kind.

Arashi and Lulu:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Arashi and Lulu rushed to attack the large imp, it ducked to the side and swooped down low. The creature avoided Rorics next attack, and was barely able to avoid Arashis shield bash. However, as he moved back, away from the shield, the creature ended up meeting with Lulus claymore, dead on its back. The creature let out a high pitched yell, as the claymore cut a deep gash down its back. However, it merely jumped forward, and crouched low to attack them again.
Roric rolls a: 6
; Hp. 50/50
Arashi rolls a: 1: HP. 20/20
Lulu rolls a: 16: HP. 20/20
Imp Lord rolls a: 9: HP 17/20

All players:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Give me some time, and I'll give everyone a full account of their weapons, and damage, as well as their armors damage resistance. I hope to have it up by my next post.

Lulu makes a slight sound of annoyance as the thing jumps out of the way of utter destruction. At the very least though, it paid for having its back to her. With an injury like that, though, it's not likely to make it again unless it utterly lacks a brain. So maybe paying for its mistake wasn't the greatest thing to happen. Oh well, it's happened now. She thinks there's still one more turn of cool down left on Pommel Strike, so to kill time, she charges the Imp again and goes for another diagonal cut, somewhat relying on the other two's attacks to make it harder to dodge. She still doesn't know how swift this thing is, but it did dodge both Arashi and Roric's last blows, so it's gotta be at least a little quick on its feet.

Re: Kelenmabre Chronicles

Postby Urhr93 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 4:57 pm

Till now all seemed to proceed well. Her infiltration in the building went well, and now she's even in a position from which she can observe the whole lower floor. The girl located the room that is probably being used as an office by the alchemist, but there are also guards down here, and this complicates the situation. She could try to kill them, but then, even if she persuades the alchemist in helping her, when others come to check there will be problems. Making her way to his office in a stealthy manner could also work, but with them being here, it would be hard.

Deciding to not think much about it and just proceed, elaborating a makeshift plan, Ruby decides to find a window to the outside, in the side of the building nearest to the guards, possibly one that has a corresponding window up in the second floor.

If she finds it
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

She'll go near it and, while hiding, she'll use her "Flash Bang" skill outside. If things go as she plans, there will be a stunning flash of light (and hopefully a "bang" sound too) outside the building, attracting the attention from the guard, and while they go to see what happened (or at least while they are distracted enough by it), she'll try to sneak inside the office. Obviously, if they aren't distracted enough, she'll wait and plan something else.

If she doesn't find it
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

She'll try to sneak to the lower floor, trying to stealthy move out of the guard's field of view, and when she is as near as she can without them being able to notice her, she'll hide and listen in to their conversation, ready to use the "Flash Bang" skill in case they notice her.

Rosa moved on to the blacksmith for weapons. The only thing she managed to find that would be useful for her were the daggers. "I would like to purchase two steel daggers and sell my old daggers please." She puts down her daggers on the table and takes out 30 coins, though if she was selling her daggers she won't need to use all 30 coins she took out.

Candy kept the air-headed smile on her face as she called back "Okey Dokey then mister! I hope it's over soon!" She made sure to flip him off when he had his back turned, and then waited till he was gone before she looked around, trying to ascertain the depth of the situation. She also decided to test her magic in this room, attempting to see if there was anything blocking it off. She cast the lightning spell at the wall-she'd be rather happy if it worked, as that would give her an advantage. If not, well, she'd have to find another way out.

Wel that didn't work out like he hoped so the best thing to do was to try a normal attack with his electrically enhanced weapon and hope that it is just as effective as it was last time. Swinging his blade in an overhead arc he tries to anticipate the dodging motion of the imp flying up higher in an attempt to catch him.

Lulu and Arashi
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Lulu swung her steel claymore at her imp opponent. He was trying to dodge Rorics attack and slash his shoulder. However, things proved bad for the imp, as he was unable to dodge both attacks directed at him, and ended up taking Lulus claymore to his right arm, whilst taking Rorics sword to his left leg. The Imp Lord let out a yell, when he had gotten hit by his opponents weapons. This gave Arashi the moment he needed and his blade slashed down upon his opponents wing, knocking the creature down from the blow. The imp then scrambled back up, heavily wounded now, but still fighting.

She thanked the blacksmith and took her weapons and the gold she didn't spend. Rosa left the blacksmith's store after she had her stuff. Outside she counted her remaining gold and smiled. She still had 51 gold left, plenty if she needed something else or wanted a drink. She wondered what she should do next. Another quest maybe?

Candy was glad to find that her spells still worked. That would be a very useful means of aiding her escape. She looked about, seeing more people in cells around her. They seemed to be asleep or just laying down, but Candy decided to see if she could get any info out of them.

Aramis saw both blows connect and saw this beast was hurting. The time was now to split it straight down the middle before his enchantment wears off. He would slice upwards from skull to groin in an attempt to make sure that imp regretted ever trying to stop the lot of them. If it hadn't already that is.
