"Your peoples tombs? why would I want to rob the tomb of a Usquener, honestly you think you know me simply because of what you see? and for the little child no I don't trust her I don't know where she comes from but she happily pointed out the disturbed dust on the floor that indicates someone was dragged through here. It may not be the villagers we seek but it would certainly lead us to someone who may know what's going on here. honestly dolle naa lost, if you judge things simply on what you perceive then you will judged on by your actions, and as for my type it's not greed that motivates me it's the parts in between acquiring the take, that excites me." She waits patiently at the entrance to the #2 pathway if she was to be continuing on her own so be it she wouldn't be stupid enough to rest in such a location.

"Well, either way, nothing'll get done if we just stand around arguing. From the looks of it, more people want to continue than rest, so we should continue moving." While she did want to rest personally- marching in armour all day with a greatsword on one's back was tiring, let alone other activities that shan't be mentioned- she didn't trust the webs at all. She doubted a simple tent would protect her from any kind of spider that lurked above. And she utterly hated spiders. Horrible things, and even worse when they were giant!

Gory: As you proceed into the passage way, just at the edge of the lights reach, you feel a mild draft upon your very sensitive ears. You look around a moment and spot the faintest of difference in the wall. A hidden Door! Wonderful! Now you just need to figure out how to open it!

Kal moved over to where she sensed the door and began to examine it a little more thoroughly if it had a way to open it they may have the perfect place to rest. Though that would depend on what's at the other side of the door, she hoped the other would resolve their argument and decided finally on what they were doing, but till then she would continue searching for a way to open the door.

Gory: Luckily, you don't have to waste too much time figuring out how to open it. You find a loose brick and test it by trying to remove it. It does not come out. You deduce that this is what opens the door. Now, do you press it? Or do you warn your party first?

Camilla gives the druid a look as if he had just asked them to stop and train a bear to tap-dance. "You're right. It's a great place for an ambush. The enemy only has to put a small force outside the entrance to have us utterly routed. Hell, if they attack from the halls, some spiders might just do the job for them. How could you ask for better?" She asked with more than a hint of sarcasm, then continues without giving him a chance to try and answer her rhetorical question. "And don't you judge any of us for greed when you're accepting your take of what has to be the majority of a poor rural town's wealth in exchange for doing what any good druid would volunteer to do free of charge."

To everyone: Just an FYI....THERE IS NO LEDGE! dndman was SUPPOSED to edit his post but lo! He did not listen to me, again. Also, the damn pit trap was ALSO closed! Pay more attention from now on!

Shadow Kitty: The elf ranger also spots the secret door and the mechanism that Kal had just discovered. "Hey guys! There is a secret door here, should we open it?" The elf's voice seemed to cut through all the chatter without echoing through the passages. The door is only about 20 feet from the space the rest of the group was still in, arguing whether or not they should rest there or move on.

Gari looked over at what they were saying and, instead of arguing to the group about resting, walked towards the door and looked it over, "Any way to open it?" She asked and looked to see if she can find a mechanism or maybe a switch to open the door, kinda afraid to try and open it by hand due to possible traps. "Maybe our Rogue would like to look at it, see if there are any enchantments or traps on it?" She asked and smiled at Kal, "That would be a good idea, less damage done to us as a party."

Camilla looks back at the three fiddling with the trap door, then concentrates for a second to detect any magic in or around the door. "Let me save you a few hours of poking the door with a stick to see if it will explode. There are no magical traps on your door." Seeing as this was a perfect time to snoop into the magical items of her party members, she concentrates on detecting magical auras for a few extra seconds to try and discern which of them was carrying the most magical weapon. She gave Kal's back a funny look, noticing that the second strongest detectable magical item was something tucked in her pack, then blushes slightly when she notices Kal's magical nipple piercings appear to be the most powerful item in the group by far and stops detecting magic.

Kal didn't expected Ol'gerr to shout out but it didn't matter she was going to open things up the door eventually anyway, but now the choice of informing the others was taken away from her. So Kal activated the mechanism to open the door, she wasn't so worried about a secret door being trapped because the door was supposed to be hidden if it had been trapped then who ever made this place was far to paranoid. But wasn't to say that what ever was in the room would be safe. They wouldn't know that till the door opened which is what Kal was in the process of doing.

Those who are paying attention: The wall cracks in two places, the spaces between the bricks giving way. The section of the wall between the two cracks rumbles softly before sinking in and raising out of sight. The room inside glitters. It appears to be a dome shaped room. It's roughly 30 feet tall at it's highest point and about 50 feet in diameter from it's center. It center also holds a small pedestal about knee high for most. Atop it is a dimly glowing crystal the size of child's head that lights up the room with a faint blue glow. Its spikey and natural looking, unpolished and only cut at it's base where it was obviously taken from where it had grown. You surmise that it appears to be some kind of magical device and the runes on the pedestal it sits upon cements your theory.

Shadow EVERYONE!!!: You ALL eventually make your way into the secret room, and Kal closes the door. You all feel tired from your 12+ hour HARD TERRAIN trek and various encounters/"activities" you all have been through. For some reason you ALL have the same thought pop into your heads. "If you all waltz in and get killed because you CAN"T MOVE FROM EXHAUSTION! Who will save the townsfolk that may or may not already be dead?" Just saying.

Kal sets out her bedroll, she then walks over to the crystal and exams it for a little bit, the crystal doesn't look particularly valuable but the light source it was providing, at the moment was useful the spikes protruding from the crystal looked like they would be painful if they tried to take the crystal. But it would make an interesting light source, especially if she could get it crafted into a hooded lantern. But Kal needed to go into her trance, moving over to her bed roll she pulled her dagger out of her sheath holding it ready then began to rest her breath slowing down.

Indeed, Kathryn had to agree with the random thought that had popped into her mind with no real rhyme or reason- it was sensible! Taking her bedroll from her donkey, the human woman would carefully set it down, retrieving her waterskin from her pack at the same time. A quick drink to keep her hydrated would serve her well before she rested. After that, she would remove her armour and set her sword aside, before curling up to sleep.

It was also pretty likely that the weretiger child would join her, as well. So she made space. She was too tired to kick her out.

Gory: You do not see anything closer up in further inspection then when you first saw it in the doorway, aside from the ornately carved runes along the pedestal. Also, when you get closer to it, you notice that the air in the room seems to pulse in and out from the very crystal you are inspecting. As if it was breathing or something.

TCEL: Your assumption was correct, the little weretiger *which you still do not know what she is* curiously inspects your bedroll, eventually figuring out what it was in a vague wild animal kinda way and cuddles up to your side where there was space under the blanket. She was warm, VERY warm, almost like a dog or something. Strange, but comfortable in this particularly cold cave like room.

Of course. She wasn't certain of what she was, but she had suspicions. After all, how could this little girl be just as strong as her when she was in her prime? Either way, she wrapped an arm around the small, cat-like girl, tucking the girl's head under her own. "... Still need to learn your name..." She mumbled, eyes slowly shutting. It was always comforting to have someone to cuddle, especially when they were warm. She was too sleepy to question why she was this warm- she just accepted it.

Kon: The girl nuzzled into your embrace happily, pressing her basically naked form against you. When you mentioned learning her name, she yawned a little before speaking. "I KonKon" Before you have time to react to her speaking, she was asleep.

Kathryn's eyes fluttered open for a moment- well, it was confirmed that the little girl, KonKon, could indeed speak. And she certainly had a cute name. And voice. It suited her, really. She was also utterly adorable when she slept. Scratching behind her ears a bit, she would snuggle up close to Kon and try to sleep. Long marches sucked.

Gari felt the fatigue of the hard trek and travels they've been through and sat down, sighing with relief at sitting there, "We're not out of the woods....or cave to be literal... yet. One or two of us should keep watch while the others rest and then tap out with others so that we can all rest up without worry of ambush." She said, "Who wants to stay awake for the first part of the night?" She asked, looking around at the others. "I'll volunteer if no one else wants to."

Kal "I'll stay awake, everyone else can sleep, when it comes to me as long as I get 4 hours to go into a trance I'll be fine." Kal was still interested in the crystal it felt somewhat alive when she studied it, the problem was if it was alive removing the crystal could be dangerous and would probably result in no-one getting any sleep. "Before you guys go to sleep, could someone do me a favour? if they can detect magic would they cast it on that crystal over there?"

Camilla shrugs and uses detect magic in the direction of the crystal. "Sure, why not." She wasn't sure yet if she was going to share exactly what she learned, especially if she decided that she wanted it for herself, but either way Kal would get an answer. [detect magic, and give it the full treatment. Aura strength and roll spellcraft to determine school of magic in the unlikely even that I roll high enough to learn anything]
