Alane grimaced as she looked at the fallen corpse of the wolf. She wasn't sure if she should be glad the thing wasn't stalking the woods anymore or saddened the way it had been chased down and slain in that way. She turns her head distracted from those thoughts as the sound of metal against metal rings out.

Looking upon the scene they'd found, the woman naked on the ground was the first thing to catch her attention. The two bandits going after Keira viscously made her skin crawl. Quickly, she drew her tome focusing on the power within it calling a bolt of lightning into her hands. The man with the knives seemed way to gleeful as he assaulted Kaira so that was her first target. With bolt in hand, Alane threw the electric charge at the vagabond.

Robert rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed as saw the situation unfolding in front of her. Sure it looked suspicious, but her time on campaign had taught her to never take things at face value.

Too late to stop either of her comrades, she puffed out her chest and shouted after the initial shock of their attack.

"ALRIGHT YOU SLOVENLY SODS, JUST WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU THINK IS GOING ON HERE!"

The hefty blows and slashes from the two men weighed on her heavily. Kiera was not afraid though. She was invigorated and angry. She spun her spear around and glared menacingly at the two men. When she heard the crackling of magic and the yell of her commander nearby, her confidence was bolstered further. Battered and bloody she wasn't about to give up her fight now. She lunged forward again with her spear, burying it into whatever target was closer.

The sudden strike of thunder and arrows from Alane and Ertha slows down the battle. But it's Robert's commanding shout brings the two bandits to a halt. In the confusion, Keira scores a lucky hit as the two regroup. As you all enter the clearing, Luka comes to the woman's aid, offering her a blanket.

"LOOK BOY!" The bandit shouted at Robert, "It was your friend their that attacked us. The three of us were just having a good time. Right!" He said staring at the naked woman. She didn't answer, merely retreating into Luka's arms. "Just hand her over and we can forget this ever happen, we'll even make it worth your while." The Bandit said with a grin. Though they still hand their weapons out if the battle continued.

Robert rested her hands on her hips, near the holsters of her pistols as kept her chest puffed, trying to imitate the confident swagger that came so easily to her Captain and had made her feel things were in control so many times in past.

"I apologise if my Subordinate over stepped her bounds, rest assured she will be disciplined for her infraction," She told rather than asked, as her old Officers had oft done, speaking about and not to the problem, "As for the girl, unless you have a warrant for her, she is a free woman of the land able to make her own decisions."

She pushed the hammers on her pistols to full cock, making sure the sound was clear and audible to the men.

"Will that be a problem, or do you wish to take it up with Royal Litchstadt Army?"

Once you mention the Royal Litchstadt Army, you easily spook the two bandits.

"What the hell is the Army doing out here" The Vagabond asks as he tucks away his daggers. The other bandit seems to agree as he drops his Jagged Sword. "Screw it, one girl isn't worth getting killed over." With that, the two turn tail and run. As they do, they leave behind a pouch with a pair of potions.

Gain: Spirit Elixir x 4 (Raise any Stat by two, Aftereffects based on stat raised.)

With the little scuffle ended, everyone turns their attention to the rescued woman. "T-Thank you all" She said in a hushed tone. "My name is Elma, I was just on my way to Schwarzberg with I was attacked by those two fiends" She said curled up in a ball.

When she finished, Luka chimed in. "You must of been traveling to the city as a tribute right?" he asked. Elma merely nodded but that seemed to be enough for his. "Perfect, I can still get you to the city. I'll be sure your village gets the dowry that was promised." With that the young guard leads the woman back to the black gate. "If you four are still intent on entering the city, just come this way" He says motioning to follow him.

"Wait, what?!" While lowering her bow, the unsatisfied Ertha turned her attention to Robert with a heated glare. "You're letting those bastards go? They just raped someone, attacked your goddamn subordinate and she's the one who needs to be punished?! What kind of backwards shit is this!" Justice demanded those men be brought down, and Ertha's own personal vendetta against such filth made it impossible for her to comprehend the thought of ever giving them mercy. "They're not gonna stop doing this," she pointed to the assaulted woman whose introduction she ignored, "shit unless someone deals with them, so why are we not doing anything about this?!"
More importantly, she wasn't allowed to chase after the bastards alone, in her present state. Should've aimed for the head when she shot one of them.

As the bolt of lightning missed her target, Alane refocused on her book ready to prepare a fireball but stopped when Robert raised her voice. She remained tense as he tried to talk the men down. When the men finally backed down she wasn't sure how to feel. Letting the men go after what they did didn't feel right, but was it really their business to be policing this area? She ignored Ertha's outburst and helped the girl to her feet learning her name was Elma.

"You're welcome, I'm just sorry we didn't arrive sooner." When she heard Luka mention the tribute and dowry, she remembered what they were told about the message the townships had received. The information had been very vague, and she wondered if this was the chance to get more detail. "This tribute, what's it for, and what kind of dowry are they getting for these women. We only received the vaguest detail before they shipped us off.

Luke clears his throat as he turns back to you to talk. "Well... During the plague, most of Schwarzberg's population was decimated. Many of the families in the city need new heirs to keep their bloodlines going. While others just needed skilled woman to care for their family through this turbulent time. So they've sent out word for woman to come either as housemaids or to marry into some of the city's richer families. In return gold not just from the families but the city coffers are given to the woman's family and village ad compensations. Villages that offer multiple women are also given a plot of land they owned by the city."

Keira drove her spear into the ground and offered a small bow to the women she had rescued. She stepped forward and lifted the jagged sword from the ground and wiped the blade clean. She also scooped up the pouch that the bandits have left before they ran off. She peeked inside the pouch and her eyes lit up for a moment. They were elixirs. Something the Royals were quite well acquainted with. She took one the elixirs out of the pouch and passed the rest to Robert. "So what exactly is to be my punishment for saving this woman?" Asked Keira, as she went back to pick up her spear.

Rebecca rolled her eyes as the Little Princess tried to get all hoity-toity with her and the Thief started to run her mouth again. Shaking it off as she resumed the persona of Robert, she turned her nose up at the bag of elixirs taken from the bandits and the passed the other two vials to the rest of group. While a part of his mind questioned the logic in drinking something stolen from Rapists, the bottle looked legitimate enough.

Waiting for the Little Princess to turn back for her spear, Robert quickly drew his sabre and spanked her across the rear with the flat of the blade, creating a audible whack! and stinging blow but no cuts.

"An Army functions only with discipline," she chided, spanking her again with another loud whack, "And Intelligence *whack*, tell how did you show either? *whack*"

Glaring at the others, she made sure to look them all in eye as she made the Little Princess dance around with the stinging blows.

"Did you show discipline when you abandoned your post and ran off into the wood? *Whack* Did you show intelligence when you rushed foolishly into battle? *Whack*" She began to pant not through exertion, sweat beading her brow the nightmare played across her eyes again, "This is not a game for silly Little Princesses's to play at! *whack* Those mistakes can cost lives! *Whack*"

Leaving the Princess to tend her burning bum, she quickly tossed back the elixir and wiped the sweat from her brow.

"Were you a man you would have been stripped and flogged in front of the formation for abandoning your post, or worse, shot for desertion," she sighed, "How did you know these were bandits, did you stop and think that maybe they were bondsmen or Sheriffs with warrants?"

She glared at the Thief briefly.

"Or perhaps the local Militia? Would you have preferred to start a war between Litchstadtt and Schwarzberg before we have even reached the city?"

Fixing her hair back under her cap, she turned to Luka with a gentlemanly smile, "To the gate then?"

Keira winced as the first blow landed on her tight buttocks. Fuck! She internalized, biting her lip to stop from audibly gasping. Clearly Robert was not a fan of sarcasm... She thought to herself before another blow landed. She was still angry from the fight and now being humiliated by Robert. She tried to spin toward him, but he was too fast. As the spanks increased in speed and intensity her face light up and her thighs began to burn. She couldn't manage to speak during the onslaught, it took all her willpower not to let out a moan as she became more and more aroused. When Robert was finally done with his onslaught and lecture, Keria reached back and tested the tenderness of her newly bruised booty. Watching Robert down the elixir she figured the where safe and she did the same.

After drinking the elixir, both Robert and Keira feel somewhat renewed. Though time will tell what effect the elixir will actually have.

'To the gate it is" Luka says as he guides you through the forest to a large imposing Black Gate. Normally it would be wide open allowing carts of goods and people to come in and out. But now it was sealed closed. You could see signs of rust and and creeping vines growing along the structure.

"Due to the Schwarz family's request, we can't open the gate. Be we can allow you access to the city via the guard station. I just have one request. I need you to leave your weapons with me. I know you said you're with the Royal Army, but it's just protocol. You know how it is."

Sense Motive (Straight Skill Roll)
Luka: 12(1d20) + 2 (Skill Bonus) = 14
Robert/Rebecca: 5 (1d20) + 3 (Perceptive) - 3 (Naive) = 5
Alane: 16(1d20) - 4 (Naive) = 12

One it's face, the request seems innocent enough. But for some reason it doesn't sit right with Keira. In fact a lot of things seems strange about Luka. Especially with how often he'll look back to stare at Alane.

The odd sight of an officer spanking another with a sword distracted Ertha from her anger, but the lieutenant's response refueled it. Still, her initial burst of outrage began to calm. Arguing with her temporary CO wasn't worth it, and would possibly just land her in trouble. That would lead to either the small amount of freedom she had now being revoked, or certain death... or apparently whipping. The less said about that last part, the better. Instead, she took the offered elixir and chugged it in one gulp, throwing the bottle away in some small effort to vent her building frustrations. She could already see the wrinkles in her skin in 10 years, just from the past few days alone.

When the group got to the gate, Ertha looked around to scan the area solely on instinct. She had obviously kept an eye out the way there, her experience and paranoia keeping her on a constant high alert during travel. That, and the familiar action helped provide some peace of mind. When Luka requested that they leave their weapons with him, she felt irritated at hearing this. She didn't feel safe without at least her dagger, and being told to enter someplace suspicious without any weapons at all... she cursed her rotten luck, and prayed to the Gods she didn't believe in (read; demanded from them) that she could survive whatever's gonna go wrong. She reached to her back, grabbed both of her bow weapons, and dropped them. She then pulled out the dagger hidden on her waist and dropped it, as well.

Alane was taken aback by how devastated he made it seem. Just how many had died of this plague, and had her mother survived? She shook her head dismissing the thought. No, she needed to keep up her resolve, or she'd never had a chance of finding her. She just needed to trust that mother had survived. She was interrupted from her thoughts jumping when she heard the strike of metal against flesh turning to find Robert spanking Keira with the flat of his blade. She was surprised though his explanation of the need for discipline had a point. She decided it would be best not to get on the wrong end of Robert's discipline before turning her eyes from the scene though she could still hear every strike.

With everything taken care of, Alane took one of the potions from the bag being passed around but and gingerly sipped the contents down little by little. "Sure, let's see what's become of the city then." She turned to Luka trying to prepare herself for whatever she might find of the city devastated by this plague.

When they arrived she looked up at the familiar yet changed structure. It had clearly not been open in a long time with the rust as well as vegetation growing on it. How were they supposed to gain entry? Luka answered the question before she could ask it aloud. Passing through the guard station made sense, and they weren't here to start a fight with Schwarzberg, so she didn't see a reason they wouldn't. Still, after Robert's recent disciplinary action, she decided it better not to agree to anything so suddenly and put the group in a tight spot should some objection be raised.

Robert frowned at the sight of the gate as they walked, the fact that it had been left to reach such a condition was beyond reproach.

Luka's demand to disarm was troubling considering the dangers outside the wall, but was not entirely unexpected. In his place, she would probably have demanded the same thing. Unbuckling webbing she deftly shrugged it off her shoulder and handed the two pistols and her powder and shot pouch to the man, making sure her sabre was fastened securely to her belt and sash that ran around her midriff.

"It's ceremonial really," she explained to the guard, "But as you know only the Kaiser himself can order of his officers' to give up his sword"

Keira glanced suspiciously at Luka when he asked for their weapons. They were the Royal Army, no one had the right to remove their arms. And this lowly militia-man wasn't about to strip her of her gear.
She stood up at attention and twirled her spear once through the air. She cocked her head to the side slightly, exposing her injured neck and shoulder.
"My apologies Luka but I will not part with these weapons. This is my first visit to Schwarzberg and I've already been assaulted. Now your militia may be good, hell it may be the best militia but I've lived in cities all my life and they are not free of crime or strife. I will exercise my right to defend myself and my peers. And my spear is worth more than your salary, so it will be left with no one."

Keira and Robert began to feel the effects of the Spirit Elixir. The Princess Knight felt an powerful cramp in her crotch area. The pain subsided, but that was replaced by a growing tightness in Keira's pants. The changes Robert felt were more subdued. She didn't really feel it but the others could see it. Robert's hair lengthened by an inch. Her eyelashes grew a bit as her lips seemed to redden. From the outside, Robert seemed to look more feminine.

Taking Ertha's weapons and Robert's Pistols and placed them into a wooden chest. "I see no harm in you holding onto you Sabre, Robert." Luka said as he opened the door. "You and your companion can go ahead to the guest room. My companion here will guide you." Just as he finished, a large man in a trench coat appeared. "I just need to have a chat with Alane and your other ally before I can let them in." Luka then turns to Alane and Keira as the other sullen man tries to lead Ertha and Robert into the guard tunnel.

Still a bit weak in the knees from Roberts punishment, the sudden onset of the elixir caught her off guard. Her imposing and proud demeanor quickly devolved into her fidgeting about in discomfort. The pain may have quickly subsided but her tight leather pants were feeling even more tight than usual. "Yes, whatever conversation we need to have that's all well and good, but if you would just excuse me for one moment and point me in the direction of your latrine, I would be most grateful." She said in a hurried town. She was concerned by the ever-present and seemingly increasing tightness and thought she should investigate immediately. If She was not permitted access to any private area she would turn from her peers and the militiamen and have to quick peek downstairs.

Rebecca was about to protest the splitting of her group when the Little Princess started hopping and fidgeting about as she played with her pants and looked for the Water Closet.

Really? She thought, all those fancy schools restricted to the nobility and the Little Princess still hadn't learnt to go beforehand.

Shaking her head, deciding to wash her hands of the matter, she eyed up the brute meant to escort her and Ertha to wherever and followed after him.
