The girl seems to be in her own little world, though she does nod when you speak to her. The armory officer gets a small laugh out of you as he takes your security vest, and after a few quick measurements written on a sticky note, he informs you that it will all be ready by the next morning.
"Course you probably'll have a hard time wearing a full body suit like that with clothes underneath. We got the changing rooms, but your charge doesn't seem to have any problems running about in her skivvies, hmhm."
He smirks as he looks through a small box underneath his counter before procuring a rather long knife with a serrated base.
"Gerber Mark Two... Fine blade, this one here. The newer models before the bombs fell were designed more for survival than combat, but that just makes it more effective."
It looks like it's seen some use, but it's still in pretty good condition and you're relatively sure it would pierce through flesh.
Looking over the hacker's device, the screen is split between two halves. One half features the racing game now on mute while the other half features a series of code being typed at ninety miles an hour. Across the bottom of the screen it reads "remote connection with VRT goggles." It seems said goggles are able to produce a virtual keyboard in her vision or something similar as you watch her continue to "tap away" at thin air, oblivious to your finding out what she's doing.

"You don't need to convince me of anything. I don't trust the people in the tower except for my family. Besides you didn't have to give me your life story after just meeting me. Well at least not unless you bought me a drink first."
"Suppose I'll have to keep the gritty details for the bar then, hm." She smirks as she picks up a clipboard, writing something or another on it.
"So... what do you need me to do then? I'll be getting either bored from nothing or worried my sister might do something drastic if she thinks I'm dead."
"Well being dead might be in your benefit right now... If you'd rather go by name, that's your own prerogative, but I'd stick to a code-word of some sort or another for now. Never know if there's a spy among us."
She shoots Chryssy a rather mischievous grin as she says this before turning her attention back to you.
"We're expecting a slaver group to roll through in a few hours. They managed to sneak through a back road before we had a chance to intercept them, but that just means they're on their way back to the tower and probably think Hugo's forces took us all out. The supply of 'Lax on that caravan is worth a small fortune in its own right, but what's worth more is keeping it out of slaver hands. Those security files we stole suggest Hugo's been using it to keep individuals reliant on him."
"Oh that reminds me M'am, we found a few thousand in slaver notes on the corpses"
"Use 'em as fire starters. We don't use blood money."

GM Roll; Luck- 19 + 1
You spot a few areas in the house where the wires are loose, and easily manage to rip them out, but actually stripping the walls for wiring would be very energy-taxing.
Going outside, the streets are rather quiet right now as you go about finding an apartment building. Your search takes you deeper into the city as you finally locate a promising target. The building looks stable enough, and there aren't any particular signs of habitation. Entering, the first floor has mostly been stripped clean of anything of value with a number of blood stains littering the walls from battles fought long ago. The second floor happens to be far more promising as after only an hour of searching you find a small hiding space inside of a couch with a few bottles of water stored in it!

GM Roll; Luck- 15 + 1
Looking inside of it, you manage to find a tube of nutrient paste, a bottle of water, a spare set of thermals, and an emergency beacon. Holding up the beacon out of curiosity, you unfortunately don't get any signal down here. Even though you're memory is fuzzy, you think you remember working on said nutrient paste project... The stuff can replace a meal, but it tastes like the smell of reheated and cooled shellfish. Eugh.
You decide to head back to your room, and luckily don't encounter anything along the way. Entering through the doorway you can't help but notice that the room is a mess! It looks like someone was frantically looking for something as clothes are strewn about the room and things are toppled over. Someone was searching for something here, though it honestly could have been the locals who broke in...
Looking about, it seems you weren't keeping anything particularly worthwhile in your room, and neither had whomever owned the other two beds. It looks like it had strictly been a sleeping area- Well, maybe not completely.
Pulling something out from between the mattress and the frame, it seems one of your room mates was hiding a copy of an MMA manual on Greco-Roman wrestling.

GM Roll; Fitness- 20
With the rage of a thousand fiery buttblasts you ram into the Securedrone as you watch its tazer arm snap and fly through the air, the arm holding a key ring getting snapped off as well.
"Subject has shown hostile...Hostile...Hostile..."
Well, it's no longer a threat, but it seems to be stuck in a loop from that blow as you pick up the security keys and take your pistol out of the confiscated items box. Reprogramming it in its current state would be easy enough, but you're not sure how effective a one-armed rolling trashcan would be. You also happen to find a pulse grenade and bottle of pills with the label long since worn away. They're small, round, and powdery white.

GM Roll; Diplomacy- 10 + 5
"Give the two girls to the men, but ensure that they can't move a muscle. Can't afford them escaping."
"Understood, sir."
The still-gagged female looks up with pleading eyes, tears rolling down her face as the officer unties her leg binds, redoing the arm binds behind her as he begins to shove her up the stairs. The unaffiliated girl surprisingly enough doesn't put up a fight when your officer goes to rebind her hands, despite having gotten out of the former bindings. In fact, aside from the death glare she shoots your way, she's utterly silent with a steady calm about her appearance.
"Green tea latte, extra froth."
Well... That was probably the most random thing. What the heck is a latte even? In any case, you turn back to the two remaining as the girls are escorted upstairs. Henry seems to be taking note of the time as you turn back to the two remaining.
"Now, I am a reasonable man. You know more about your army's plans than I do, but I have you all tied up, you see? Your private here isn't worth very much, we both know that, but I could ransom you back for a good sum- so I have a reason not to kill you. You tell me what I want to hear, and I give you my word as an Eagle that no more harm will come of the two of you."
The officer takes a deep breath, looking at the stairs and then at the compatriot next to him as he grimaces, eyes shut tight. The whole situation is taking a bit longer than you'd like, but you get the impression that he's ready to talk as he finally looks towards you with rather dead eyes.
"The Loyalists didn't plan these attacks..."
Bullshit.
"Hatchet did."
Impossible. All the reports say he would have gotten burned alive. Even if the bomb didn't kill him, the radiation would have.
"She showed us the vids. I didn't believe it at first either. None of us did, but he's alive. Somehow..."
You watch as Henry checks his watch once more before frowning as he walks upstairs.
"Those officers should have been back by now. The barracks are right next door..."

Spoiler (click to show/hide):
You begin to tinker with the large chicken-walker, trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with it... Well, the fission battery is busted and it's out of juice, but even a battery for this thing wouldn't be too hard to get. As for the gun... Well... It's not a massive beam rifle unfortunately. Instead it looks like it's part of an Active Denial System you had seen in one of Hatchet's notes. The thing pretty much lets out small microwaves which cause intense pain underneath the skin of most organic beings, but doesn't leave much in the way of damage aside from the occasional eye exploding. Pretty much a giant crowd control tank from the looks of it...
Aaaand, it's fried. The parts to fix this baby up are pretty rare. There might be some at Thorn Tower, but otherwise they'd have to fabricate those pieces... Aside from that you could easily fix it, but then you'd just have a giant chicken walker with a bulky unusable gun on it.
