Priest looks at Razajin then Astrid, confused. "Well, as i know Librarian of Osthet have Library-Temples in each city that is under the control of Pharoah. And the closest city would be to west i think." he says. "Anyway my child, my Trine bless you both, now i should return to my duty." he speaks then continues his preaching.

Astrid ignored Razajin.

Hm. Misogynistic piece of shit. she thought of him, listening to the holy man's words. Osthet was a word that could barely stick in her head; she had only visited this land once before and hadn't learned much of its more refined and scholarly culture. Without another word, she turned to the nearest peasant she could stop with a glance and questioned:

"How far to the nearest settlement to the west?"

She didn't need to look around again to decide there wasn't anything to be had here.

Razajin quickly nods at the man before walking back to Astrid. "I suggest you follow the others and tell them how to get to the library and meet me there. I'm goign to scout ahead and start looking for the book okay?"

"Whatever." Clife says to Sig. "If you don't get in my way or try to kill me, then I don't have a problem with you." Then she goes back to asking the crowd, "Do you know anyone named Ahriman?"

"Well unlike those brutes I don't kill people unless they give me a reason like you know threatening others and such! And I'll try not to get in your way." Sig says as he seeks out any small out of the way stalls where the sell magic trinkets thinking they could help them.

Clife doesnt leaen anymore the inhabitants of this small town though a book merchant tells her that he had saw that name in a book.

Astrid only learns that the closest city to west is at day and a half distance before Razajin interrupts her.

Razajin hearing how far away it is, turns to the peasant with a question of his own. "Is there a stable nearby where I can buy a horse or something?

Clife locks onto the merchant that mentions that they've seen the name before. "Do you remember the name of the book? Do you know if I can find it in a library nearby?"

Dismissing Razajin's words, Astrid looked toward the west thoughtfully. The road led too far off into the distance for her to be comfortable traveling.

And that is, comfortable. She could run there, but it'd be a waste of time versus mounting a steed, she thought.

She looked into her pack for some money. Could probably afford a horse or a camel, funds provided.

Sig stops searching after he hears of Clife's success and looks intently at the book merchant awaiting more information.

Merchant shakes his head sadly. "Sorry miss, i sold it to young mage. And according to book, Ahriman seemed to be some sort Archmage and instructor." he says.

Peasent turns to Razajin. "Well, Ala owns a stable and she should have some horses to sell. His farm is just outside the village, to the soutwest." he says.

Astrid finds no more than 40 coins in her purse.

Astrid brushed off almost immediately after the peasant gave his reply to Razajin's question. It was all she needed to hear, minus where one could find water, but she'd deal with that later.

On that note, she adjusted her scarf and made for the area indicated to her by the peasant, dashing out her cigarette as she went. It was too hot to smoke.

40 coins. That was her budget.

Hopefully they'd haggle.

"Well this Mage where can we find her? We need to find this book sir. It's important." Sig says urgently looking into the man"s eyes to show him just how much.

Razajin tanks the man and turns to Astrid. "Listen...I'm going to "acquire" a couple of horses and I need you to gather the others so by the time I get here we can leave in immediately." He doesn't wait for an answer and starts walking off in the direction of the stable.

Merchant turns to Sig."Well, it was at some city to south but that guy probably moved on. I dont know where he went." he says.

"Damn." Clife mutters to herself. Then she puts on her nice face one last time. "Do you at least know the man's name so we can keep a lookout for him?"

"I don't trust you." replied Astrid, rather abrasively and tersely, to Razajin as she continued to walk on. She wouldn't mind opting to just take the damn animals, but having the militia, however weak they were on their tail wasn't the best way to keep a good public opinion.

Astrid may have not given a shit for what others thought of her, but it counted when it could interfere with whatever task was at hand.

Razajin keeps pace with her while on the ways to the stables. "I dont really care because I already dislike you. But I will be taking those horses by force and we won't get in trouble because there won't be any witness left."

Merchant looks back at Clife. "I think his name was Krin, miss." he says.
