[Goryokaku]

Kal walked up to the mansion doors they crying intrigued her, she did think about calling to the others and letting them know what she'd found but then she wasn't sure what she'd found herself. So the best thing she could think to do was investigate the source of the crying coming from the mansion first, then get in contact with the others and let them know.

[Taria]

Janeei begins to slowly squeezes through the crevice, moving at a hasty pace. She didn't really seem comfortable remaining exposed in such a narrow space, even if there were no hostile immediately visible. She steps aside after squeezing through to give Kas some space to stand after she's through.

Suzu can't manage to glean a single thing of significance, but Rhialla does manage to notice this isn't the first time the room has been so heavily searched through. Is there still someone hanging around this abandoned village? Garian can't see very well in the dark.

Monika can see two figures in the distance standing in front of the mansion, but no details whatsoever. Meanwhile Kal approaches the front door of the building and tries the door. The handle shakes but it is firmly locked. "H-hello? Who's there?" She hears a voice ask from within the building. The eerie sobbing seems to have stopped.

[Goryokaku]

Kal was about to answer but she stops to think about it, this person doesn't know her, and she doesn't know who they are so it could be some sort of trap but the sobbing that seemed to indicate that this person or thing was upset about the missing villagers. "I'm Kal Ironthunderson, Dwarven Summoner I've come here with a few friends to well investigate why this village went quiet, so now you know who I am can I ask who are you? and do you know why the town went quiet?" (Diplomacy)

[Motoko]

Kasidra smiles to janeei before squeezing through the gap after her. She was of course worried about her sister still...But janeei did look quite nice, Kasidra hadn't really bothered looking before but as she had followed she had noticed the genie had quite a nice posterior....Argh what was she thinking she was helping her sister with her silly quest. Shesahould focus on that....

[Lynxy]

"There they are" Monika thought as she caught her first glimpse of the figures she was hearing. Then she realized what she was looking at appeared to be a pair of visitors at Magister Brocklan's mansion in the teeny hours of the morning. There had always been rumors of unusual happenings there, but this was the first such thing she had ever seen. Deciding that maybe she should learn a little bit more about what was happening here on this spectacularly unusual morning, she tried to move closer to the figures for a better look and perhaps even to hear them as quietly as she could. [I'm going to assume stealth and perception rolls]

[TCELESBHSUP]

"Someone else must still be here... It looks like everything's already been rifled through." Rhialla said aloud, stepping back and frowning a bit. There must have still been people here- they'd possibly looted the store, or had planned to. Shaking her head a bit, she would walk out of the store, standing with Garian and looking through the streets. Where could they go next...

[That_One_Guy]

Garian continued looking along the roads, not sure what to make of anything and heard the footsteps of Rhialla move beside him, "This village is quiet, too quiet. Something happened here and I have this feeling that I need to know what." He said and looked at her and back at Suzu, "We should find the main building, a meeting hall or council building and see if we can find any recordings or journals that will enlighten us." He said. But he didn't know where the buildings would be, "We should find the biggest building, that'll be the Hall that we need to enter." He said.

[Taria]

Monika can see the figure in the distance is disguising herself with a hood, her ears neatly tucked away so that no one would recognize her. Kal suddenly hears the crunching of grass and spots someone sneaking up on her out in the open. "I don't know." The voice from the mansion says. "There are scary monsters out there, I'm not letting anyone inside."

Suzu grumbles angrily at the lack of evidence to be found and simply begins to follow Garian and Rhialla. Garian, still can't see anything in this darkness, so Suzu casts light on him.

"The only creepy thing about this place are its inhabitant." Janeei will state softly as Kas makes it through the other side. "With how this place was founded, one could practically compare it to a penal colony... But they've had their uses in the past." Janeei takes a moment to look Kasidra up and down closely as they take a rest in the space littered with houses. "So then, dragon girl, you seem vaguely familiar with magic. What do you believe its purpose is for?"

[Goryokaku]

Kal looks to the person sneaking up on her and motions to Celebrilith to block any form of attack but not to attack. Then turns back to face the door, she listened to the voice talking about scary monsters, She sit's down thinking about what to say, "What exactly do you mean by scary monsters? the only form of life I've seen... Well heard are you, and the person sneaking up on me over there, but I'm not sure if either qualify as monsters, are you a monster?"

[Motoko]

Kasidra would cross her arms smirking at Janeei. She would glance around the area once more before her eyes settled on taking in Janeei's form and figure, she still liked what she saw....But what she didn't like was the words she spoke, Vaguely familiar? Kasidra's tail thumps the ground loudly her wings open wide to make herself look bigger then she was "I'll have you know Genie I will be the most powerful wizard in any plane before long. Mark my words. As far as what I think magic is? its a way of power and control. Some use it to help others, some use it to dominate and rule. It's mearly a tool, a means to an end."

[Lynxy]

Monika felt silly as one of the figures clearly pointed her out to the other which took a position between them. She never had been very good at sneaking around. Seeing as the jig was up anyway, she stood up properly and gave an obvious stage shrug for her observers benefit before crossing her arms over her chest and simply watching. If she'd had a few guards with her she might have considered taking point and confronting the Magister's "guests" about their business, but that would be stupid to do alone. Besides, if this was in fact some shady business with the Magister, she didn't really want to get too close to it. Rumors around town included some pretty fanciful explanations of what had happened to people who actively interfered with Brocklan's business. No, for the moment she was all the closer she cared to be.

[MiscChaos]

Suzu's disappointed she didn't find any clues in the store, but Rhialla did find a sort of hint after all: Someone else has turned the place upside down too. So the question becomes just what were they searching for? If she can find a clue for that, maybe she can find the reason for the town going dark. Still, she doesn't have any way to begin that search, so Garian's idea sounds best for now. Only, one of the biggest builds around is the one Kal is searching and double-dipping just seems like a waste of time. "Sounds good. But it can't hurt to check the houses around us as we make our way around. Leave no stone unturned and all that good stuff." She says, making her way to the building across the way. Just because there was nothing to find here doesn't mean that'll be the same for the next house!

[TCELESBHSUP]

Rhialla bowed her head at Suzu's advice- it seemed like a sound plan, to check other buildings. After all- regrouping would mean less ground would be tread, and less searching would be done in the same time. "Of course, Suzu... You always have good ideas." The Aasimar smiled lightly. She was definitely starting to feel better, already filled with hope that they would find someone, anyone, that was alive and safe. They would be able to tell what happened, and she would be able to tend to any injuries they had- be they physical or otherwise. So, she would fall into line behind her dear friend. She hoped Garian wouldn't be offended- she'd taken his words into consideration, but... It seemed as though Kal had the largest building in town covered at present.

[Taria]

"w-what? Why would you ask that. You're a monster trying to eat me!" Kal feels bad for frightening the innocent child as the sobbing begins to continue. "I want my dolly waaaah. I want my dolly."

Janeei begins casually walking by and opening the doors to the houses, one by one. "Yeah, that's what I would say too." Janeei briefly steps into a building and then promptly exits shortly thereafter. "So what do you suppose we should look for?"

[Motoko]

Kaidra shrugs looking into the buildings as they are opened wondering why no one locked their doors. Not that it mattered really,something strange was going on here that much was obvious. but Kasidra didn't care one way or the other, the cause would be of interest, but she didn't really care about survivors or helping anyone so she shrugged "Up to you Janeei. I'm just here because my sister is. Just studying alone is so dull so anything's better then that I suppose. This is your quest you should take lead...Do what ever you want~" She yawns, forked tongue slipping out as she licks her lips, looking over Janeei under the guise of watching her reaction.

[Goryokaku]

Kal sighs, "I haven't mentioned anything about eating you, and what's this dolly your talking about? and if you lost it where did you lose it?" The child well she assumed was a child was obviously an idiot of some regard if it was going to hear words Kal hadn't actually sad. She wondered if the person being watched by Celebrilith would know who the child might be, she turned to get a better look at her now that she wasn't trying to sneak. Celebrilith motioned to the woman to come closer.

[Lynxy]

It dawns on Monika as she watches the person arguing at the door that these two might not be invited here, in which case it became her job to remove them. A thief at the markets she could ignore while off-duty, but there was no question about what was expected of her if these two were harassing the Magister's home. A sharp canine dug into her lip as Monika considered her options and glanced around to see if she could catch sight of the towns night-watch. Nothing. Figures.

Resigned to her only course of action, she rested her hands on the grips of her crossbows and sauntered forward, making it clear that the first questionably aggressive movement would be met with a barrage of bolts. [ready action to fire on any sudden advance] "Ahem, Do you two belong here?" she asks in common, trying to sound as official as possible. Her eyes widened in surprise for a moment as she approached. Humans. Or maybe Elves. It was hard to tell them apart, but they where something you definitely didn't see every day. It made their odd circumstances all the more suspect. "Maybe you should take yourselves to the inn tonight and come back at a respectable hour." "...when you can be someone else's problem," she mentally finished as she nodded pointedly toward the town's Inn.

[Taria]

Janeei gives Kasidra a raised eyebrow expression of intrigue before stepping into one of the houses and plopping herself onto a couch, uninvited. "Right now I feel like taking a break. We're in no hurry after all, are we?" Janeei crosses her legs and gives a coy smile while hooding her eyes.

"I-Idunno. Please go find my dolly! She's tiny, and has blonde hair, and, who is that? More monsters?!" The voice descends into sobbing as Kal and Monika (and cerebrilith) listen on.

Suzu opens up the door to the next building, throwing caution to the wind. The room is covered in blood and medical supplies. It's so gruesome, she almost misses the blood-covered walking skeleton hissing at her from the center of the room.

[Motoko]

Kasidra smiles as she see's Janeei plopping down on the couch, she would step in " A break eh?" kas glances about the room curiously,but isn't really looking for anything particular. She shrugs " I'd like to.....Join you in resting~ "

[MiscChaos]

Suzu's no stranger to blood, traveling as she has has brought her into more than a few battle zones. But to see this much concentrated blood in one place is shocking and gut-wrenching. "Holy shit." She mutters as she takes it all in. When she sees the skeleton in the middle of all that mess. "HOLY SHIT!" She cries out, jumping back, nocking an arrow, and firing before she even realizes she's doing so. "Watch your ass, everyone! We've got a problem!"
