“You speak of this world like you understand her, girl” Meifeng replied, cocking her head. But before long she grew quiet and her demeanor changed as your words sunk in. “But your words beckon to me like a moth to a flame. For ages I have watched over these graves, my old friends and comrades. For longer still I have taken care for them with a sense of guilt that I could not explain. I thought it was because of my survival while everyone else around me perished. But... You're right. You are absolutely right” Meifeng admitted, and even allowed a tear to flow past her cheek.
“My comrades died in a battle that rages on even now. I thought that, in time, the humans would take over the world and war and strife would no longer exist. But as the humans marched, they left only destruction in their wake. Demons too know not how to honor the winds, the seas... I fear your cause, to stem this tide, is a righteous one. Not to save our species, not something selfish like that. But a thing much more humble, much more pure. If the very balans of this world is at stake, then even such dark thoughts as these can be justified...”
For a second, Meifeng looked at Jiaying, who seemingly already made her decision. She was kneeling next to one of the tombstones, marked with a king's crown, and pried open the stone coffin. Meifeng looked puzzled and unsure, but finally hang her head.
“To save this world and all that I once loved, my fallen brethren will have to march ones more it seems...”
She looked up, her piercing stare spiraling upwards past rows and rows of coffins all the way to the maw of this immense underground burrow. “Humans, demons and creatures of nature, hear me! Foes and friends of old, lend me your ear! For too long you have rested, for too long have you enjoyed peace outside this world! No king sends his call this time; no legionnaires of hell or shamans of the wild! My friends, my fallen brethren... I myself humbly ask you to return to this world once more, to take up arms and to shuffle into the fray. Not for myself, but for the entire world. Your cause will be the most noble of causes, your actions most needed. Hear my plead and stir! Hear the cries for help of the innocent and awake! Hear the destruction of the world you once inhabited and loved, which you fought and heroically died for, and arise!”
Meifeng turned her gaze back to vigdis, openly crying and devout of all life. She was a wreck, a husk of her former self. But the answer why was obvious. One by one, ranking up in the hundreds, the thousands, sound and echoes of tombstones being moved, coffins being opened and graves being un-dug could be heard all across the barrow. Legions of old marched up the stairs in single colomns, demons in all sizes and shapes soon darkened the skies with their rotten wings and humans dusted off their ancient weaponry.
“I have done what I can” Meifing panted ever so softly, before falling down. Jiaying was quick to kneel next to her, to hold her hand and to look her in the eyes. It was apparent that the dragon lady sacrificed herself to give Vigdis her army, but Jiaying would have none of it. She cried soundlessly and kept tugging her mentor's hand, but it was to no avail. “Take care... of her for me..” the dying dragon's last words past her lips, before her breathing stopped and her eyes grew void of all life.
While Jiaying was still busy crying, stomping the ground and trying to coax life back into her late mentor, Chartreuse looked at Vigdis. “I... I would assume she meant you...” She said a little awkwardly, not knowing what to say. “Though, I can't help but wonder... how do you ever hope to contain these legions? You'd need immense power to keep them in check, and without Meifeng... I fear it would be like unleashing Cerberus upon sheep, un-collared and unchecked... If the humans wont doom this world, I fear you will...”

“I cannot help but wonder...” Raze muttered, before looking up at the both of you. Her human was particularly docile and didn't say a word, but Monica's victim was struggling with all his muffled might and even Wingblade's lumberjack refused to let up his death glare assault.
“We have these three humans, but who would benefit most of them? The succubus might be able to use them in some sort of ritual, which might benefit us” She guessed, “Or we could give them to the ones in the castle who haven't been able to feel the touch of a man in years. Or, selfishly enough, should we keep these three for ourselves? A girl has needs, and a guy can do all sorts of chores for us to boot. Today we have gained a victory of humanity either way, so I don't think anyone will object... What say you?”

[dunno what's going on here but it sounds like it's near the other stuff I'm doing]
Kal soon reached the church once more, where she had left Yasker to fend for himself. Her masquerade spell kept her from standing out too much, but she couldn't keep it up forever. Better hurry.
The church itself, the only way to reach the church grounds, was in disarray. People were shouting, men were strutting in and out, and more then one wooden bench was piled up on the street. It looked like the people of Helmstring, the little that remained, would lock themselves inside the church. The little cottages spread all over the church grounds might just about prove enough to keep the children and their caretakers dry for the night, which would mean that the men would sleep inside the church itself. Which would prove a problem for Kal, for she was already unable to leave the town. How was she supposed to smuggle a little kid past all those overprotective fathers? Having visited the church grounds before she knew she was nimble enough to scale the walls that surrounded the church grounds, but she doubted she was able to smuggle a kid out that way any time soon.

The sheep girls look at Tanya frightened and uneasy, but as soon as they see the sheers their old habits kick in and they form a neat little two-by-two queue to get sheered. They didn't at all think about how quickly they would catch a cold when going out in this storm all scantely clothed as they are without wool to cover them up, and instead just relied on their caretakers (Tanya in this case) to decide what's best for them.
Standing in a long line to get sheered, and even giving Tanya some tips how to sheer correctly, it didn't take long for the two dozen or so girls to get their hair done. The change in character was obvious afterwards, and little fights would break out among the sheered girls. Why they started fighting was a mystery, but without their wool to tame them they sounded and acted like a bunch of sixteen year olds. Someone probably stole some lipstick or something.
Soon enough, all the sheep girls were freed of their wool and their drowsy states, and looked at Tanya expectantly. “Alright, so now what?” One of them asked. “You're clearly not human” She continued, even though she only just realized, “And you dont seem like you're one of the people with food neither. So what's your bizz, sis?”
