Temporal Shift [Fedoras are always in style]

Jason carefully picked his way through the burning wreckage. He remembered Medea had been in the basement when the hospital exploded, and figured that was as good a place as any to start. Jason made his way to the basement, taking it slow to avoid any accidents.

He walked through the rubble of the hospital, whole corridors blocked off by cave ins, fires running rampant throughout the hospital. The structural walls of the hospital were burning, the high oxygen supply of the oxygen delivery system inside the hospital fueling rampant fires that burned hot white. Finding a stairwell he ducked inside, drawing into the depths of the hospital. Precipitation built up on the inside of the visor, partially obscuring his vision as he stepped out of the stairwell into the deepest parts of the hospital. In the corridor in front of him were the reflective shapes of bodies clad in the fire proof suit, 7 in total, some were coated in burning fuels, others crushed below the collapsing roof. Jason is hit by a burning tile from the roof, its mdf shape breaking easily off his form, showering him in cinders and flame.

Jason panicked at first, but then remembered he was wearing a fireproof suit. As long as he didn't get any gasoline on him, he should be fine.

Taking a solemn moment to pay his respects to the dead bodies on the floor. He quickly pressed on, wanting to get away from the deaths.

The corpses continued to burn, blood boiling in some of the visors as he walked by, reminding him of the gruesome nature of the job. A suit could stop you from burning on the inside, but it could still lead to being burned through sheer heat if engulfed in flame. Nor did it stop him from being crushed to death. He walked down the corridor before walking through double doors propped open by the upturned form of a medical gurney, the room in front of him being a perfect spherical room, all edges of whatever other rooms this area once touched being perfectly smooth. The room was ablaze from top to bottom, the form of a metallic suit laid across the floors, an over turned gurney across it, surrounded by hundreds of bodies burning in the fire.

Jason stopped in the door way. noticing how everything was, well... On fire. He called out to the body, trying to see if the person was alive or not. "MEDEA! MEDEA, IS THAT YOU?" Jason shouted over the blaze.

Fueled by adrenaline, passion, and fear, Jason flips the gurney off the body in one powerful thrust, throwing it to the side. He flipped over the body, coming face to face with the visor of the suit, the face of the suit completely blotted out by blood and steam. The body stirs in his arms, the building rumbling under the stress of the fire. The radio spits static, as it begins to melt under the heat.

(Guess you wanna get this over with pretty quick, huh?)

"It's alright, I gotcha..." Jason picked the body up, and bolted out the door. He tried to get out of there as fast as he could, while still being careful of fire and falling building pieces. If he could save even just one person...

@Jason [Am I?]

The person in his arms shuddered, bringing the attention of Jason. It gestured with a gloved against the visor on his head, thumb out across his neck, making a cut-throat gesture, before feebly freeing a knife from the back pocket, before giving it to Jason. The fire sprinklers continued to come down in the corridor, the corpses in the reflective metal gear laid across the corridor, their reflective visors looking at him accusingly.

Dax kept walking letting his legs take him where he will,"I`m lost aren`t I..." He speaks it outloud and hears it echo down the corridor.

(Never mind.)

Jason stopped. He starred into the visor, where he thought the eyes should have been. After a few seconds, he realized what this person was asking of him. Should he...? He had no idea if this person was suffering, maybe it was better to just pull the plug...? "No... No. I can't do that." Jason trudged on, more determined then ever to get this person to safety.

The voice echoes up and down the shaft of the stair well, as he walked out onto a central platform, corridors stretching away from every direction in the cardinal points of the compass. The shaft stretched several floors below, and several above, a sign reading that the closest exit was 15 levels up.

The form in his arm taps feebly at his chest, once more the knife in it's only good hand. The other arm's shielding is completely torn, the flesh of an arm covered in blisters and bleeding. He could hear the muffled sounds of the visor, the voxcaster in the front not working properly. He rounded the corner to once more to come back into the safety of the stairwell. A broken pipe at the top of the stairwell is flooding the area in a shower of rain, the fire slowly being beaten back as the metal stairs hiss under the sudden cooling.

Dax follows the signs up,"I have to get out of here." He thinks to himself.

"I can't hear you..." Jason stopped, and after some tricking maneuvering, managed to carry the person with one hand. He then attempted to remove the person's head gear, feeling confident that they would be safe with the water fighting the flames.

@Dax Thank God you didn't go down, that was the way to death, muhahahah!

The earth shook beneath his foot, the metal scaffolding of the stairway screeching painful metal sounds. A loud resounding pop is heard across the room as Dax hold's onto the railing for dear life. Sparks fell down the length of the shaft, illuminating the full drop to the ground, before whipping cables fell, snapping their discontent against the metal stairwell, sending vibrations that numbed the senses. A groan was heard as the metal continued to creak, before a ventilation unit the size of a turbine fell, knocking out the platform below where Dax once stood. A loud clang was heard as it sheared off the platform, before bouncing off the wall, continuing it's way down, before the crash of metal on concrete could be heard. Dust was kicked up the shaft, encompassing Dax's form and field of vision.

The helmet would not come off, the threading of the neck-piece having been fused together. The form once more feebly knocked at his chest with the hilt of a knife, its long blade catching the light of flickering flames. The power behind each tap fading as time went on, the chest raising up and down slower and slower.

"Right then," Jason said, noticing how quickly the person was fading. "Time to get you some REAL help." Jason continued out of the hospital and towards the paramedics, eager to pass the man off into the arms of people who knew what they are doing.

The knife slipped from the hand of the form, before dropping down the stairs of the stairwell, bouncing down each step as if the toll of a church bell was ringing for the dead. Jason retraced his steps, more of the burning ceiling tiles falling around him as burst of flames spread along the length of the corridor, small combustibles in each of the rooms bursting forth, sending debris and doors away. Jason now stood outside the hospital, the glow of the fire bathing the city in orange glow, the dark night sky acting as a backdrop to the drama that unfolded below.

The young doctor from before ran towards him, waving her hand to get his attention.

Dax mmoves up quicker now as the place he stood not moments before dissappears back into the darkness with a crash of shreiking metal,"Shit! I have to get out of this death trap!"

@ Dax [Still trying to figure out those spheres, I know what they represent, but deciding what I want them to do sigh]

He continues up the shaft, slowly the air feeling more and more fresh. The familiar rumblings and sounds of the underground resonate through the walls, no more debris falling. Making his way to the top Jason is confronted with several doors, one labeled surface, another labeled underground access line, and the last a security room.
