"I think I can do that." Kazumi says jokingly in response to Sarah. When Jason goes off, Kazumi says, "Oh no, there he goes. Off to get killed again." half-jokingly, trying to amuse himself.

Sarah bit her lip. It sort of felt bad to make jokes at others' expense right now that the idiocy had largely passed.

"Yeah, we need the electric power..." she reasoned. "Should go track him down if you could." she suggested.

Christine nodded. "Fine I'll go drag him back before he gets killed." Christine jogged after Jason trying to catch up to him before he could find another animal to kill him. "Jason get back here."

[Taria]

Emily and Kazumi clang away and the thick crystal uselessly, while Sarah aims carefully and takes a heavy swing at where tehy are both working, chipping a modicum of crystal from the jagged deposit.

[MiscChaos]

"Well that was... rather useless." Kazumi says about his attempt at mining, embarrassed to have failed so badly. "May have been better off going with your suggestion, Sup."

"Yeah, you suck. Go ahead and do that." she said, picking up the chunk of crystal. Instead of accepting his apology, she figured an insult of her own would suffice. An eye for an eye, righto.

She deposited the crystal into the refiner.

"I can do this myself if I really need to. You should really go do something you're good at." Sarah suggested to Emily.

Jason yells back at Christine, not even turning to talk to her. "Fuck no, why the he'll should I?"

Kazumi shrugs, figuring he deserved that one after the shove this morning. "Alright." he says, pitting down his pick and picking up his survival pack before exiting the cave. "I guess I should stock up on some water before doing anything really big. And I'm not trusting the wildlife to feed me again. Not until Doc Ty's had a look at me. So a little food would be good too." he says to himself. With that resolved, he heads back to camp to fill up his lunchbox (after cleaning it with a little water from his canteen), then heads for the mountain to stock up on water. "I'm gonna have to find a way to funnel that back to camp or get a closer water source."

"Because if you continue you're endangering the rest of the crew if you get killed again by using up the last of the power and I'll have to shoot you in the leg and drag you back." She warned not at all interested in his hurt pride. Drawing her taser.

[Taria]

Sarah receives an update on her wristband alerting her to a new employee being released from cryo-sleep. Some of the pods are time released for some incomprehensible legal reasons. Some red tape bs as always. The good new is that based off her files she especially suited towards mining and construction!

Kazumi takes his time, drinking up the last of his water and filling his canteen back up as well as his lunchbox. He finds a large hydropack in the survivalist station and takes it with him, figuring this will be the easiest way to gather and transport extra water.

Daylight begins fading as the workers go about their business. Many throats begin feeling dry as most everyone hadn't had a drink all day. People are getting pretty hungry too.

"OK, so first trip will be a resupply trip. Bring back water to refill the water reserves. Then it'll be business as usual." Kazumi says to himself as he adjusts his pack to better carry the hydropack. He eyes the Sun dropping in the sky and amends his plans. "Business as usual will have to wait til tomorrow. It's a stupid idea to be stumbling around in unexplored wilds in the dark." he says as he starts for the mountains. Having been there before, it's not long before he finds his way to the mountain and starts scaling.

"Ain't it your job to protect the crew from the things that could kill me?" Jason stops and turns to Christine, putting his hand on his own taser.

Sarah deposited what Questhicyte she could gather into the refiner, seeing daylight begin to fade. She was making surprising progress by herself, but it was relieving when she saw a workhorse had been released from cryosleep. Finally!

She continued to mine some Questhicyte for now. It was getting a bit late for the newcomer to help her, she felt.

"My job is to make sure you people aren't killed and make sure the wildlife doesn't damage the ship and machinery we have out. It isn't my job to protect you should you run into an unknown wilderness to get yourself killed because your pride got hurt. Now it's getting dark I am tired and if you do not follow me back to the ship I'll head back alone report you abandoning your job and turn off the cloning vats so if you do die you won't get another chance." She warned and began walking back to the ship hungry.

Jason calls back out to Christine. "Fine! I'll just stay out here then! To hell with you, and to hell with the rest of 'em! And you tell that freak she'd better watch out, too!' Jason laughs at the next part, his mind forming images of possible punishments he could give Emily.

[Taria]

Kazumi has a much better time with the cliffside than last time, scaling up its edge very quickly.

Kelly shuffles out of her pod and shakes off the biting chill. "Wheew..." She sighs, looking around. "Hellooo?" she calls out.

Sarah manages to shave of a few more crystals before incredible fatigue gets the best of her. All and all she's seemed to have collected 18 units today.

Emily can her the subvocal calls of her mate reaching out to. Listening to them intently on a frequenct only she can hear, she feels herself drifting off into a trance just like earlier.

Like last time, Kazumi scans the area before moving to fill the hydropack. He doesn't expect much though.

"No point you'll die out here alone with no food and no way of keeping warm. But good luck to you anyway and if you try to harm Emily I'll shoot you dead no warning shot. She's a crew member like the rest." Christine left him there to fend for himself utterly unconcerned with his fate. She arrives back at the mining station where Sarah and Emily are. "Sorry he wouldn't come back he'd rather abandon his job and stay out there. And I wasn't risking getting shot to bring him back if he doesn't want to he'd only run off again anyway. Also he has plans to harm Emily."she stated her own hunger catching up to her.

Sarah deposited all of the Questhicyte into the refiner.

She rolled her eyes when Christine came back.

"That's fine. We'll lock the doors on the station when night falls. If the cloning vat goes off, we'll know what happened." she suggested, walking back to the ship and heading to the engine room to check on the ship's power systems.

She said into her communicator "Anyone outside, head back to the ship. We're locking the doors for tonight to keep the wildlife out." she half-lied. Those bugs and whatever the hell did that to Emily came to mind.

Christine nods. "I thought about turning it off as soon as everyone's inside. No point letting one man waste all of the energy the ships has because his pride got hurt." She comments as she heads back to the ship getting inside.
