Kay smiled brightly for a second as she went to thank Celeste, when the Ork bombardment shockwave hit. Leaping to her feet, she pressed her body against the front wall of the trench, and braught her lasgun up and over the lip, scanning the areas ahead. Without thinking, she had placed herself directly between the open space of the battlefield and the junior Commissar, her training to protect senior officers kicking in along with a burst of addrenalin which banished any thaughts of sleep from her mind. "What the feth was that?! Don't tell me those pox-ridden Xenos are gonna frelling shell us out!"

Actually calm, "It would seem so guardsmen, keep your head down, and try not to get dirt in any place you don't want it." All the while dirt popping up and into the trenches.

Garian was about to stand up when he felt a strong, firm grip on his shoulder, turning around he saw the tallest man he had ever seen, the man was decorated from chest to lower stomach in skulls, ribbons, and medals, in his right hand he had a Bolter. "Hiding, Guardsman?" He asked Garian who quickly shook his head and turned back around, facing the artillery. The man smiled and turned towards Amaya "How about you, Guardsman. Are you hiding?" He asked her. Garian wanted to say something to her, to not say the wrong thing because the man standing before them was a Inquisitor-Commissar.

Spotting the Inquisitor she felt as if the air was knocked out of her. "The inquisition..... Are there Chaos here..? The Orks being puppet-ed by them? " She said out loud to herself. Then she thought, "How many guardsmen will be accused of heresy, and condemned.." She walked over through the trenches to the Inquisitor making sure Kay was alright still.

The man looked towards her, "I am not here for the Inquisition, but for my Autumn-Soldiers, Commissar Celeste." He told her, walking closer, he was near 9 feet tall, a massive man with scars running all over his face, both eyes were red, either from bloodshot or augmentation, his hair was nearly all grew except for some black here and there, he wore a long, black overcoat that had most of the decorations on it, on his left shoulder, the unimportant one, was the Inquisition Symbol, on the Right was the Autumn Soldiers, "I am Inquisitor-Commissar Daidrick and I came here to inspect the Trench and to make sure none of my guardsmen were cowering." He told her.

Ba'al grabs his lasgun still hearing bangs of the artillery outside. He slowly walks out of the barracks rubbing his eyes seeing the junior commissar "whats going on ma'am"

Kay glanced across to Celeste and gave her a smile with a quick nod, letting her know that she had this section of the trench covered, before returning her attention to the areas ahead, where they had been told that the Orks would come from

Celeste blushes at being called Commissar, as its been a long time since she's led a squad by herself to be called Commissar. "Forgive me asking, but then why are you here Inquisitor-Commissar Daidrik? Surely it is not just because of lack luster troops." She says looking to Ba'al slightly glaring. "We're being bombarded, and your late to awake.."

Ba'al keeps rubbing his eyes "sorry about that ma'am" he said "figured to get some sleep before everything happens" He then decided to get a bit sarcastic "besides ma'am isn't it the duty of the superior to wake up the grunts" he says grins

Hank is heavy sleeper so the initial blast didn't wake him but the third blast he was wide awake and he ran to the front lines and prepared himself looking to the forest.

Daidrick looked down at Ba'al and then at Celeste, "Who is this guardsman, Commissar Celeste?" He asked her, not giving Ba'al any respect by asking him personally, "He DOES know that he shouldn't speak to a Officer or a member of the Commissariat like that, right?" He asked and then glanced over at Ba'al, his stature was a looming tower of what looked like was built by the fear of others of him, "If he does it again, or forgets to address you by your rank first, hurt him, if he does it a second time, shoot him." He told her and then looked around at the PDF Soldiers, there weren't many of them, he gathered, and they were too scared to even pay attention to him, he looked back at Celeste, "Make sure the PDF do not pray to the Emperor, spread to them the Imperial Truth and that if they do not follow it, you'll shoot them." He told her and then began walking away towards the HQ to talk to Usikar, not bothering to learn Ba'al's name at all.

Jessica walks out of the barrakcs after the inquistor leaves yawning as she does so. "Okay are we actually under attack or is this their idea of an alarm?" Murmering to herself she walks over to Ba'al. "If it's not you waking me up it's bloody artilliary fire." Jessica offers a salute to the junior Commisar before taking her position in the trench looking down her scope at the treeline.

Ba'al shrugged seeing the junior commissar's look. Then he takes his position next to jessica holding out his lasgun watching the treeline vigilantly.

Celeste hopped down back into the trench beside Katherine. "As I said, we must finish our discussion later.." She said coyly to Kay. Aiming out of the trench with her pistol

"Yes ma'am" Katherine replied with certainty in her voice, but without turning her attention away from the battlefield. "That is, if one of us doesn't get killed by Orks first, ma'am"

"We won't be bested by an Ork, not in battle anyway.." She says throwing a slight sexual humor to it.

Alexsis takes up position with the other guardsmen. "it took them long enough to attack. thought we'd be more likely to die of old age"

Amaya had come back to the barracks to rest, just before Daidrick's arrival to the area.
She woke up and felt a crude chill in the air, as well as the smell of the artillery rounds.
Hiding the liquor bottle back in her footlocker, she stepped out of the barracks, clearly disturbed by the moist and cold air around her.

The sun was quickly rising, and the area between the trenches and the forest was nothing but holes, and still forming as the artillery kept blasting at them. Suddenly, it stopped and a thunderous sound of Ork movement was heard. The Guardsmen positioned at the Trenches aimed their rifles down range. Garian did as well, his breath quickened as he got prepared for what was about to strike at them.

Everyone suffered -50% Stress due to the Artillery strikes keeping everyone awake, remember to use your will power to subtract from that to lower the amount hit on your Stress Percentage
