Suzu frowns at Janeei's ultimatum. This chick expects them to agree to do something for her without the first idea of what it is? That's a great way to find yourself tied to a rape rack with a half-dozen well hung drows standing over you. Or so she's been told. She wouldn't be stupid enough to let it happen to her. Like she's not stupid enough to agree to the genie's terms with no info to go off of, even if it might be important. "Oh come now, that can't seem fair to you, can it? Would you agree to an investigation you know nothing about? With someone you met just recently?" She says, trying to get the woman to see how bad this is for them. (Rolled for diplomacy)

[Taria]

Janeei sighs as she points in the direction where she is headed, it is along the mountainside to the east. "It's just some village over there that's gone dark, literally. The inhabitant were powerful plane shapers who had installed some kind of aura around the area to negate the dangers of this plane. I haven't heard any news about that area in a while so I'm going to check it out, entire villages don't just disappear for no reason." Janeei walks out of the cave and begins to head off. "I'm leaving, follow if you want, but you owe me."

[TCELESBHSUP]

Owe her? For what? Oh well... Glancing towards the group, Rhialla would step over to her donkey- one of her hands brushed against Suzu's as she passed- lightly stroking its head. "Come on... We have to get moving." She said softly, making some soft clicking noises with her mouth. The donkey lightly brayed, beginning to follow her, even as the Aasimar collapsed her tent and folded it up. In fact, she went about doing this for everyone's tents, putting them in her cart. It'd be easier that way. Less weight on everyone else, and the donkey could certainly handle it.

"Well... While we're here, we should investigate. We don't have any means of leaving this plane, and it's the right thing to do." Rhialla gave a firm nod. She believed what she was saying completely. "Let's go... If everyone's ready, that is..."

[Goryokaku]

Kal sighed she hadn't been part of the conversation and the decisions had been made more or less with any real input from her or Garian, she looked to Celebrilith, and nodded her head. Walking out after the Genie she so she could at least they could follow her Celebrilith following beside her, Rhialla had already decided to help the woman and they didn't really have a way off the plane just yet. They would need to rest for a day before they could actually activate the new ability added into their CAPE and Janeei was obviously not going to wait that long, "Just need to keep hydrated I guess."

Suzu nods her head. Now that she knows what's going on, she's much more willing to help. She's not sure what the woman means by anyone owing her since she literally just appeared and has done nothing but talk to them all, but for the sake of a village that might be willing to pay her for her talents as a bard she's willing to go along with the genie. And besides that, they've got an aura that negates the plane's extreme heat! Of course she wants a piece of that! She nods and smiles a thanks to Rhialla for putting her tent into the cart and gets ready to head off. "Well, alright, I guess I'll come with you. Should be fun." She says as she prepares to leave.

[Motoko]

Kasidra would nod, looking to her sister with a friendly smile before jogging forward a bit to catch up with the janeei. "So the city just went 'dark?' she would ask as sonya watches the woman with a suspicious eye. Kasdrias interest in the woman continued to grow...She couldn't wait to see what will come of this...

[That_One_Guy]

Garian shrugged, "I'll help you, but Rhialla is the one that owes you, for this you'll owe me." He said and moved towards his tent to prepare, putting on his armor and taking down the tent to pack away for use of some other time.

[Taria]

Janeei laughs out loud, "You think I owe you little man? This one is amusing. Yes, gone dark, as in nothing has been heard from there."

The party heads out, treking across the desert as Janeei marches through the dunes and hills with ease. The heat is a heavy burden on everyone except Rhialla, but it hasn't gotten bad enough to cause any harm, yet. (sense motive) Periodically glancing at the ground, Janeei strikes up some casual conversation with Suzu. "So you are a traveling minstrel? I sometimes stop to listen to the music of locals. It can be quite luxurious at times."

[MiscChaos]

Suzu can see that the genie is trying to track something, though what exactly Janeei attempting to trail escapes the bard at the moment. Still, the other woman is attempting civil conversation and leaving her friend alone, so it'd be rude not to respond, no matter how much her curiosity is plaguing her. Well, if she does it right, it's possible the woman herself might tell her what's going on. "Indeed, I am! I do the same cause that's a really fun way to pick up new tunes. Even more fun is when I end up in a competition with some of the other musicians. They end up playing their heart out with the best music they have and I do the same and in the end, we usually compare notes and try to learn each other's songs. There are a few sore losers or bad winners, but overall, just playing with the locals is usually fun!" She says, maybe talking a bit more than usual since Janeei's managed to hit upon a topic Suzu really enjoys talking about. "Matter of fact, here's a song I picked up from a rather lovely lady in a big city on my travels." Pulling out her harp, she plays a rather regal, medium paced song that puts one in the mind of a dance for nobility. While she's playing, she forgets not to ask the question on her mind, the tune taking priority in her mind. "So what exactly are ya tracking? Someone we need to watch out for?" (Rolling for diplomacy)

[Goryokaku]

Kal stayed at the back quietly walking her she'd mentally told Celebrilith to keep an eye on Janeei her odd turns of looking at the ground seemed weird but Celebrilith couldn't really detect much. She didn't see the point in joining in the conversation, because frankly it didn't interest her and she hadn't decided whether or not she would help the woman she hadn't really given her much incentive to help and her discussion had only been between her and the other three women in the party.

Kasidra would grumble as Janeei seemed more interested in talking to that Suzu crybaby. She shakes her head, pulling her hood up, covering her glistening scales. She was pretty uncomfortable with this heat So she decided to shake her head, pulling out her spell-book she would move to sit on the cart. trying to focus on studying her spellbook while they headed towards this dark city.

Rhialla kept herself close to Suzu, as though expecting that she'd be her protection from the 'scary' Janni. Not so much scary as a dominant figure that she felt rather cowed towards. She had to break this hold that Janeei held over her. Might cause problems... Either way, she listened in on the conversation that her dear friend held with the woman. Something to distract her from the awkward feelings of submission. She kept a close eye on the horizon all the while, however, hoping that she could possibly spot any nasty beasties along the way before they saw them.

[Taria]

The more Rhialla listens to the woman, the more she cannot deny the hold over her. Why even fight it? This woman seems decent enough, and not just anyone is a genie after all! Such a majestic creature...

"Why do you keep sneaking behind her like that?" Janeei snaps at Rhialla, suddenly turning her attention towards her, "If you're going to be traveling with me, either stand by my side or stay in the back." Janeei peers of into the distance as she has been doing for quite a while and seems to have spotted something. "Hostile, up ahead." She murmurs as she begins to move stelathily into position.

Suzu glares at Janeei for her outburst towards Rhialla, enraged that she would dare speak to her friend like that. Just as she opens her mouth to speak, the genie spots an enemy. Her complaint can wait til later, though she does put an arm in front of Rhialla to prevent her from following the woman's orders. For now, she focuses mostly on moving quietly while also keeping an eye on her friend. A combination that probably can't do anyone any good.

[TCELESBHSUP]

Rhialla jolted immediately, her body trying to fall into line- however, she was halted by Suzu. The physical contact snapped her back to reality, a sigh escaping her. She'd have to confide entirely in Suzu at this point... But not now. There was a potentially hostile situation brewing. Drawing her scimitar, the Aasimar would remain close to her friend, whispering a soft "Thank you..."

[Goryokaku]

Kal ordered Celebrilith to move up quietly and follow the Genie, she moved her self but keeping near but holding back a bit, she wasn't sure why the others were riling up Janeei but it didn't matter the had a hostile ahead.

[Motoko]

Kasidra quickly closes her spellbook, getting to her feet and following the others...Her robe didn't help with her keeping quiet unfourtnatly, she readies her wand of cold touch

[That_One_Guy]

Garian looked at the outbursts and shrugged, it wasn't his problem, his problem was to protect them from physical harm, mental is not his foray, but he kept his caution, keeping his weapon out at all times and ready for a moments notice.

[Taria]

Janeei sneaks up stealthily and takes cover behind a dune while suzu clanks and clatters noisily while stepping out into the open. Immediately, Janeei's quarry, the large fire elemental, turns around and spots her. It raises its fists into the air and growls aloud in anger, or anguish. (roll initiative)

[That_One_Guy]

Garian, seeing Suzu hurt, rushed forward with his blade drawn, the attack against him came quickly, but didn't stop him as he swumg against the creature's torso with his full might, hoping to antagonize it to attack him and not his downed ally.
