Reaper would take a couple of aliens out from a nearby rooftop.. Although the two remaining would spot him and take their guns out, letting a couple of shots pass by Reaper.. He would reason to take cover and take them out carefully..

Reaper immediately fell down to a prone behind the border of the rooftop. Rolling a bit to the side. He fired a few shots off, trying to pick off the last remaining ones.

Jon's heart skips a beat or two when he realizes that's Kaythleene on the stretcher...but seeing how she doesn't look too bad, aside from the arms, he gradually calms himself down. Well, now he has another reason to help out, seeing how someone he cares about is on this ship. They were only in each other's company for a little while, but Jon already feels something of a connection with Kath, like she's already become a good friend of his. Of course, his romantic relationship with Sue kinda puts Kath in the friend-zone already, but he still feels appropriate attachment to her regardless.

With that in mind, Jon now has an idea on how he can at least do something for her, if nothing else. Finding the nearest free seat (be it in the Medical Bay's waiting room, or the passenger room he was in earlier), he sits down, opens the image editing software on his PDA, and begins designing a "get well soon" card for Kath. Of course, he still has access to his weapons, in the (hopefully) rare case he'll need them, but they're stored away in his travel-pack for security reasons.

"Let's see here, what background should I use? Sunset?...nah...cloudy blue sky?...that should work..."

After quite a while of deliberate work and organizing his get well soon card, Jon saves the finished product:

...and decides to show it to her in person, seeing how he doesn't have her data-signature in his contact list.

Reaper would take the remaining two out.. Coming to a couple of close-calls where he could have been shot.. The mortar remains untouched.. Perhaps he could use it to take the other remaining three out..

Skies ~ 'Masa' Freighter

The machine linked to Kaythleen's arm gives a loud -beep- as she takes a deep breath and slowly comes back to reality.. Waking up with a lazy yawn as she moved around and gritted her teeth at the pain..

''D-Damn.. It hurts..'' Kaythleen whispered while sighing and looking around a bit before spotting Jon, trying to get a good look at him to make sure it was him; raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah..." was all Adrianna could be bothered to say in response. She didn't exactly like the idea of those things rampaging upstairs. She picked up the pace and kept on going.

The freighter began to lean sideways.. It recovered it's balance quite shortly though.. The soldier groaned out as they were getting closer to the escape pods..

Reaper got to the supposed mortar, shrugged. And tried to aim it towards the others, flipping some switches, and pressing the buttons.

The mortar would let out a loud -beep- like sound, letting off a shake before a speedy ball of molten metal rushed from it; headed towards the rooftop of a building.. It would land, making a huge mess of the mortar crew as the top part of the building would collapse.. Crashing against another building and bringing another mortar team down.. Although, the remaining mortar crew noticed this and fired at Reaper's direction.. Hitting the edge of the rooftop.. Sending the whole building into a collapsing route.. Reaper would have been thrown off by the impact.. And currently would have the opportunity to grab onto different ledges, poles and whatnot.. To avoid a mortal death..

Reaper would grab onto a ledge, and try to keep his grip. Breathing hard from the sudden rush of action. Reaper felt exhausted, but peeked over at the mortar team, panting lowly. He tried to make his way to them with his knife.

"Not much we can do but hope the civs get to the pods." Adrianna remarked as she continued to walk on. The weight of the soldier slowed her somewhat, but she still maintained a reasonable pace.

While Blanc plays nice with their reluctant companion, Ty looks around the freighter, seeing just what sorta protection there is in this thing.

Before Reaper had a chance, another strike hit a building nearby.. Making everything shake and forcing him to loose his balance.. He'd begin to descend as gravity pulled him down.. Passing by poles, power circuits and balconies.. His helmet would begin to be filled with chatter about regrouping.. Before he landed on a balcony of an apartment building.. And eventually having a blurred vision..

The soldier shook his head.. Groaning again before touching the slide door's control panels with his free hand..

''H-How.. I-If.. T-The brutes will get t-them.. N-No matter how..''

Ty could see a couple of soldiers.. But nothing really military like..

"If you have an idea on how to help, I'd like to hear it." Adrianna said tersely. "Otherwise, stop bitching if there's nothing we can do." she added, continuing on her way.

The freighter leaned sideways.. This time.. Remaining that way as there would be utter chaos going upstairs.. The soldier would open the door and push Adrianna inside, locking it close as she was left with about twelve escape pods to choose.. Not that any had a difference.. Outside of the room, growls would be heard.. And a single gun shot..

Reaper reached up to a near by ledge. As he laid on his back in pain. He was hoping he wasn't paralyzed. Because right now he found himself passing out... I guess Alicia didn't have to win... Because Reaps is going to die heh heh Reaper thought to himself.

Adrianna was expecting the soldier to walk into the escape pod with her, but she could only listen in as he presumably offed himself in favor of fighting the beasts to the death. She grimaced.

A wave of distaste rolled through her. She seriously wanted to get out there and beat the living shit out of those things (even though that was a terrible idea from head to toe) but was now aware that was not an option. More importantly, however, she couldn't do much to help those civs upstairs, like she was supposed to.

With a somewhat heavy heart, she ran over to the nearest escape pod and climbed inside, waiting a moment to see if any more civs would show up, but when it became obvious they weren't she seated herself and pressed the launch button.

Reaper wasn't paralyzed.. But a lot of his body was numb from the several exhaustive moments he had just experienced.. It seems there was a lot of gun fights and noises outside.. However, he might find that it would be best to make a little overview of the surroundings since he had quite a good cover in the apartment..

Skies ~ Escape Pod

The escape pod would be launched into the skies.. Ripping through air and clouds as it began to descend.. It would be shaking quite a bit.. On the windows, Adrianna would be able to see the falling freighter.. Before it crashed into the middle of some huge mountains..

Reaper would check around him, then crawl over to look outside.

Adrianna held on tight while the escape pod barreled back towards the ground. Fortunately she was strapped in, but it was hard to get used to turbulence like this. She wondered where she would land... hopefully not as roughly as the freighter. She looked away, silently wishing that they would scramble search and rescue to assist the survivors.

Reaper could see that everything was clear.. But when he peeked over a window.. His fellow allies would be getting hit -HARD- as they were all regrouping.. Or retreating.. Chatter and static were filling the radio messages as a couple of deadly-looking choppers began to fly around; busting entire mortar crews out of the rooftops and packs of enemies.. He would have spotted Alicia if he turned around.. Running across the rooftops as a group of aliens were chasing after her.. She looked tired..

Skies ~ Escape Pod

The escape pod would begin to shake even rougher.. Seeming to be headed towards a frozen lake..
