Alena's glad to finally be getting farther away from her... home for the last 300 years and especially glad to be seeing the outside world in full for the first time in a long time. The fresh air brought on by trees in the forest, so crisp and clean. The blue sky above her, so majestic and bright! The earth below her, firm and real! She's missed all these sensations far more than she possibly knew before she re-experienced them. She has to keep herself from dancing for joy if only because it would be unsightly to show that kind of weakness in front of an enemy and an unknown like Azmerelda. Still, she does so in her mind and will probably do so out of it at first opportunity. When she last traveled, her kind were not welcomed and she has no plans of seeing whether the trend continues to this day.

She had snagged if from the armory before leaving home because it seemed like a fancy scimitar with regional flair, but maybe the differences were more significant than she thought. She was certainly no expert on the matter. If the warriors wouldn't touch it, then maybe it was time to sell it off for something more... traditional.
