"Well, I dont intend to stay here forever." she says angrily before letting go of the bars and slouching against the wall trying to clear her head "I am sorry I am not usually so unctrolled with my temper, forgive me." she said turning to the slave she asked "Do you know if any guards are even down here?" she asks trying to sound less angry and more happy.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Having managed to open the door, Maxwell leaves together with the still slumbering woman in his arms and steps out into the beginning of a corridor. From having seen people having past through from inside his own cell, he easily deduces that the corridor leads to more cells, while the door in the opposite direction most likely leads to freedom, or wherever the bandits are, giving him two choices as to whereto next. Either take the obvious yet risky route behind the door, or to look for an alternative route while possibly finding others to help along the way.

Aelius Feralian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"May the waves be with you, and the storms stay clear of your seas." Replies Grinhuld as Aelius leaves the cell. Having stepped out of the cell, he finds himself in a corridor, with one plain stone wall along one side, and several more cells along the other. Looking down both ways, he can just about make out each end of the hallway.None of the ends seem to differ any significantly from the other.

Edna Claire
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Yes, but it's a bit different today. They're all busy, so there's only what I think is either a Witch cat or a scout summon patrolling the hallways." She says before the Lesser Demon begins speaking. "It's a Witch cat. Summons don't really look like everyday cats. You'd know if if you ever saw one." She replies with a surprisingly cheery tone.

Aelius blinks, of course it wasn't that easy. He went left in the corridor, looking through the cells to see if anyone else was in there. He hoped there would be some kind of guard room, where hopefully there would be keys to the cells, so he could free some of the unbranded prisoners. Whenever someone caught his attention from the other cells, he'd try to make sire they stayed quiet, he had to utilise the element of surprise, his only advantage as he was completely unarmed. Gods, he felt pracitcally naked without armour.

Aelius Feralian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Aelius notices about half of the slaves sleeping in their cells while he passes them by. Some seem either recently awakened or about to doze off. Those that are fully awake simply look at him as he passes them by. Due to the silence, Aelius has to move carefully as to not make too much sound, since it easily echoes inside of the underground hallways. He also notes how each and every cell separates the two genders from each other as well as only having one of each race in them. As soon as he reaches the bend, signifying the end of the corridor, he sees it continuing into another corridor with a few cross sections. One of the cross sections reveals a shadow of a figure apparently outside of the cells moving around.

Vella Antina
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Vella had expected a guard or two when she had infiltrated this place. Instead, she found the whole place not only lacking any sensible security, but the people these bandits had imprisoned were running around, having made their way out of their cells. This was way easier than she had first anticipated. Of course, she had still decided to keep herself hidden, and climbing along the ceiling made it easy enough, no one ever looks up when looking for someone. She had already seen a man at the end of the corridor she was in, and the shadow of someone else in one of the cross sections of this hallway. Of course, she could tell from the shadow itself that the person in question was no guard and seemed to be speaking to someone. The absence of a second shadow suggesting it being one of the prisoners. Getting something valuable from the storage room would be a easy.

Vella smirked smugly as she witnessed the absolute shamble of security that this place had. It seemed that some kind of prisoner breakout was going on, at least to a certain extent, as a whole bunch of those imprisoned here were wondering around outside of their cells. Vella continued to prowl around up high, keeping to the ceiling to avoid being spotted as she tried to find her way to the storage room. Finding that room, she'd probably be able to get her hands on something valuable enough to keep her fed and comfortable for weeks, or even months. With any luck, she would find her way there shortly and escaping prisoners would cause a suitable enough distraction for her to get away. Eyeing a man up ahead, Vella stuck to the shadows, not wanting to get caught now of all times, with her being so close to getting through this undetected. However, noticing another shadow up ahead as well, Vella grew curious, realizing that it must be one of the escaped prisoners up ahead. So she decided to creep closer to try and listen in to their conversation. Maybe she could learn something useful, or perhaps they could come in handy as a diversion should the guards start to catch on to her presence.

Aelius windered about the strange distribution of prisoners inside the cells, perhaps they didn't want their 'wares' to mingle?
When he saw the shadow he instinctively reached his hand down to where his sheated sword used to be while walking forward at a stern pace. He cursed when he realised his stupid mistake, he was completely defenseless against that shadow now, as he had no weapon. How could henhave forgotten? Well, he was now well into the next part of the hallway, the figure must have noticed him, perhaps it was not a guard, as they were supposed to be all gone? He stopped and looked at the other figure, waiting for a response.

Vella Antina
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Having crept up to the cross section, Vella could now clearly see a young elf speaking to a Gnoll who was still inside on of the cells. Neither of them wearing a slave collar. Unnoticed by either one of them, she stayed close and listened to their conversation.

Aelius Feralian
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Having walked into the cross section and into the line of sight of the unknown figure, he was now able to see them as much as they were able to see him. The figure turned out to be a Spellsword who had been talking to a Gnoll inside one of the cells. Neither one of them were wearing a slave collar either.

I turn to the rather cheerful demon, "What do you know about these witch cats if I my inquire?" she asks right after the cat comes out of view. She still shifts around abit on the cold ground aching to get out and moving the second she can but she tries to keep that to herself

With his magic reserves depleted and the slumbering burden he holds Maxwell chooses the less dangerous, but longer, path to follow. It would also give him time to restore his mana. As he walks he silently tries to recall any stories or experiences that have caused a vacuum of magic in an area. For if he survives this it could be considered a lesson in preparedness.

Edna Claire
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Well, I'll be honest, it isn't much. All I know that Witch cats are just like regular cats, only born with an absurd amount of magic, allowing them to learn magic as well as granting them the ability to speak. Although, I do also happen to know that the little rumor of cat's having nine lives rings true for them. They truly can die nine times before staying dead." The demon explains before smiling again. "But where are my manners, the name is Melissa Blogunrener."

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Having chosen the safer route, Maxwell makes his way along the corridor, more cells along one side and more slaves in each one of them. All of them sadly wearing collars as well. While passing along, looking for an alternative exit, Maxwell takes note of the trend of individuals of the same race being kept apart, and the genders being done so as well. While most cells have similar setups to each other, a worn carpet and slaves sleeping in rags, some cells were different. There was for example one cell where several of the slaves where chained to the wall instead of left free to roaming it like the others. And another, much to Maxwell's displeasure seemed to be one where the bandits kept their own personal slaves used for relief. The big clue being the smells, and lack of clothing on any of the slaves inhabiting the cell. One of them was even strapped to a table while the others were unable to free her due to being chained to one of the walls themselves. With regret, Maxwell had to remind himself that he couldn't help every single on of them and continued on, looking for an exit.

Continuing to follow the corridor, it soon split into two, giving him a choice of going either left, or to continue on forwards. To the left he could see a few cross sections going through the corridor, while the one continuing forward was too long to see all the way through without better lighting. Maxwell suddenly felt the urgency to hurry up somewhat as the fatigue of using his magic as well as his current manual work of carrying the Elf was beginning to bring him to his limit.

With fatigue beginning to rear its ugly head Maxwell takes the left corridor in the hopes of finding a safe hiding spot that will allow him a bit of time to rest and catch his breath. And if he feels he's gathered enough magic back for a spell Max will attempt a stamina boost that should help him finish his escape.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Intelligence roll: 4. (4+12 = 16) roll failed.
While Maxwell tries to remember if he as any knowledge of a spell that would allow him to exchange his remaining magic for stamina, he eventually comes up empty. While he seems to remember something about hearing of one existing, he seems not to have heard of how it actually functions.

While he ponders, he continues down the corridor and passes a few cross sections before noticing people standing in one some distance away.

Maxwell will move into the nearest empty corridor to hide and rest. While there he'll take a moment to focus his magic into healing himself, but instead of wounds he'll be asking his magic to heal his fatigue.

He also plans to pay more attention to the study of the divine magics as it seems he may have been a little hasty in thinking he was ready to embark on adventures. Or perhaps it's just the danger of this situation making him think that.

I smile at the demon girl "Well Melissa, it's nice to meet you, my name is Edna." I reach out my hand to shake hers "though we have met under... Undesirable circumstances..." I say awkwardly looking around the cell once more. Still hoping for a stroke of luck or a guard to come her way and allow hero escape.

Maxwell Brewer
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Deciding to rest a little and attempt to improvise a spell instead. Maxwell turns into another corridor instead of engaging whoever it could be up ahead. However, as soon as he turns the corner and walks into the corridor, his thought process is interrupted by his eyes being drawn to a single figure standing right next to the bars of one of the cells. Looking back at him is a dark skinned human woman wearing the same rags the other salves do but without a slave collar around her neck.

Edna Claire
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

While waiting, hoping for a guard or at the very least someone to walk by, she eventually hears a faint sound of something being broken. However it sounded like it was some distance away and everything afterwards simply continued to be silent. Her cell mates deciding to attempt to sleep, with the exception of the Blood Elf still struggling to escape her bindings.

However, with time, Edna's wait is eventually rewarded as a somewhat winded mad stumbles into the corridor her cell is connected to. The man himself bearing an unconscious Elf bridal style. The Elf wearing nothing but what looks like part of the mans clothing and the man wearing the rest of the matching ensemble.

Maxwell moves closer to the cell the woman called out from and wearily leans against the wall to rest a moment. "Yes, but please give me a moment.", he says quietly in a tired voice, "I've had quite the day I'm afraid." He will then slowly slide down the wall to come to rest on the floor, maneuvering the sleeping elf into an easier hold position on his lap as he rests. "And please do not speak too loudly. I wish not to attract the guards, young miss.", Max will request politely.

"They are used to hearing cries of being wrongly captured or pleas to be released. They hear these claims daily, and as such they are numb to them. But you also have the chance a guard will respond just mock you or try to claim you for himself. And for you, unfortunately, your exotic beauty and alluring figure could work against you.", Maxwell states evenly, "I'd even go so far as to say they would fight to claim you for themselves."
