Couldn't tell? Couldn't care, more like. Cargur simply paused, shrugging his axe off his shoulder and letting the pommel slam down heavily upon the ground, kicking up a small cloud of dust. He was just going to wait at present. The minotaur, understandably, didn't want to deal with a small child, no matter its race. Didn't care enough. The cuteness he could do without, as he was on a job. He was still sniffing occasionally, scenting the area. Goblins were plenty distinctive in scent, especially compared to humans. However, it was good to know what everyone did. A sneaky lizard, a centaur archer and a member of Bahamut's sect.

The human woman didn't seem to be speaking, but from her gear, he guessed that she was of his own ilk. A warrior, plain and simple. No magic or anything fancy like that, just sheer martial proficiency. Might get along with her, who knows. Maybe the centaur as well. Still on the fence about the scaled ones.

The child smiled a sharp toothed smile. "I want to go with you all! The holy mother says it's too dangerous but I can take care of myself! I've already beat two goblins!" It exclaimed, pulling a string on it's neck revealing two crudely removed goblin teeth laced onto string, a start of a trophy necklace no doubt. "I wont get in the way I swear it!" It said, clapping it's hands together as if trying to pray. For some reason It's plea was mildly compelling. You are not sure if it's just the cuteness, or something else.

Kira shrugs towards the minotaur and sighs, she wasn't the best at conversation, and to be honest she was more used to being worshiped as a gift from her god so being out of the temple was still strange, even though she left a couple of years before. She was a good person, she just wished people would pay more attention to her....She notices the child and listens to his or her plight.....She didn't think it was such a good idea " Um....Well....Are you sure you wouldn't want to do something cooler? Like uh.... she shrugs unable to think of naything else more exciting then this at the moment. She tried

Samantha looked down at the child and listened to it, even as he/she/it pulled out the teeth, Sam only smiled, "Awww, so blood thirsty and ready for more" She then looked at the group, "Can we take him? He'd He'd probably fit into tight spaces that we can't, and maybe even find a key or two!" She said and looked at the kid, "Do you know how to use a weapon?" She asked, "If so, I'll happily help you get some gear from this place that suits ya."

"No children, irresponsible wench." Cargur scoffed, peering down at Samantha with the utmost contempt. "Haven't you got a single ounce of maternal instinct in you? Do you not value the young in your society?" A roll of the minotaur's eyes followed, before he simply hefted his axe once more. "This brat may have gotten a lucky kill or two, but that means nothing. I refuse to babysit some red-skinned whelp with malformed teeth." Weapon over his shoulder, the minotaur would simply begin to move on, his hooves slamming rather heavily upon the ground- more likely due to his sheer mass rather than any effort to trudge about. He had a mission to get on with, and those who wanted to play pretend could stay behind.

He couldn't care less, after all. All he was here for was the reward, rather than what came in between. Although the slaughter of the goblins certainly would be quite enjoyable.

The child glared at the minotaur and huffed. "I am not so weak that I need to be babysat. I can pull my own weight!" The child was obviously insulted by the minotaurs words. "I bet I can kill more goblins then you can!" She exclaimed boldly, fists clenched and wreathed in a dim pink glow. Anyone caring to look would notice and likely assume that magic or supernatural abilities were afoot.

"Were are your parentsss young one" Skiz'zik asked still at the child's level. He knew the children felt more comfortable when they spoke to others of the same height level. He perked a brow up from underneath his hood when he saw the child shake her fist and seeing it glow. 'maybe there is more to this child what has already been seen' he thought "i know you wanna help young one but maybe we should ask your parents first" he wasnt heartless like the 'cow-man' in the group.

Kira frowns, seeing the kid using magic or whatever she might be using did make her curious. However, that didn't change much about her wanting to have a child tag along on a dangerous mission, trophies or not she knew it wasn't the place for a young one...." I don't think that's such a good idea sweetheart. You can't tag along....Err..Oh I know, those goblins are so below you! Not much of a fight for a grand fighter like yourself." She nodded hoping that would work " I bet the nearest temple of bahamet will have a much better challenge for you to partake in!" she figuired there was one nearby and hoped it was the good ones...

The child looked to the lizard man and blinked apathetically. "I have no parents. I'm told they were eaten by dragons or something." Then the dragon lady spoke. "I'm not much of a fighter. I killed those goblins with my magic." She said plainly, as if being able to hurl balls of flames and acid and such was a thing of normality. "Why would I want to kill clergymen anyways?" She asked quizzically.

Everyone: You get the feeling the regardless of what you say the kid will likely follow you all into the woods as you hunt for the goblins.

Shakes her head quickly " I never said that.....I said they'd have a more suitable task for you to do...". She says looking frightful at the thought of that. She would look to the minotaur, and decided to follow him as she obviously failed anyway

Sam watched this and looked down, "Well, I tried." She said and smiled before following the others, "So, shall we leave now or later and complete this task?" She asked them.

He turned to the dragon-looking lady "if the temple doesnt want her im sure some friends of mine could find a place for her."

Having both not bothered to ask the mayor where the goblins had come from- an assumption was made that he didn't know as he hadn't said that in the first place- and having already started walking away, Cargur... Didn't hear The lizard pointing out the forest. He'd already set off to continue trying to bloody well catch the scent of goblins, seeing as that was something Minotaurs could do. Apparently, it was deemed by the Dungeon Master that it wasn't important that Minotaurs had the Scent ability, thus no information was presented, but rather a child NPC that Cargur had no strong feelings towards. So, instead, he decided to at least try to ask around to find out if anyone had seen where the goblins had fled to every time they attacked.

Not liking the burn in his nose the minotaur decided to hope into his magical portable hole and disappear back from wherever the fuck he fucking came from and was never heard or smelled of again.

Everyone: The lot of you end up at the treeline of the woods to the north. Clear drag marks and some blood drops are easily noticeable on the dusty dry earth.

Skiz'zik crouched down and observed the tracks and looked down the trail. "well goblinsss arent sssmart enough to cover their tracksss it ssseemsss" he said running a finger along the drag marks "no sssign of trapsss from the village like the mayor said from what i can sssee. Ssso either they are farther into the woodsss or the mayor isss a liar." he didnt care either way really. Well he did, but he figured he would deal with it later. For now he had a job to do and he was gonna see it through to the end "hey kid do you know where they are?" he asked out of curiosity, after all the girl might know were they are.

Following everyone else, pulling out her sword and shield, always for emergency, she noticed the marks and looked at Skiz, "Well, I think they'd be furhter in the forest, judging by the tracks. After all, we're not even in the forest yet." She said and smiled, "Let's go after them, before they have time to organize....anything" She said and then off she went, following the trail, keeping an eye out for ambushes, she never liked goblins, smelly little creatures that hid anywhere they could and always fought in groups.

Kira would shake her head as she watched the minotaur leave, she was kind of sad to see him go for some reason......Either way she would follow the group pulling her head back snugly around her. " Yeah, following them quickly seems best." She glanced over to the child and shook her head, definitely not the place for a youth....But what are you gonna do....

Looking down at the obvious track Siheria had to hold back the urge just to yawn at how easy this was, these goblins obviously weren't concerned about being subtle, weak and stupid, typical prey, finally leaning back letting loose the yawn she was trying to hold back Siheria straightened her scarf "While i want to get this job over with quickly running into a possible ambush would just be annoying, perhaps we should space out a bit on the off-chance we do get attacked? staying clumped together could prove dangerous" if she was being honest she'd rather just not navigate a forest, too much underbrush could hide upturned roots and snares which could trip her and if it did trip it wouldn't be pretty more so if they also got ambushed.

You all advance into the thin woods following the drag marks and obvious tracks. You eventually make it to a rocky hill side with a large hole in it. A door much like a cellar door is crudely made and placed into the hole. Some branches and leaves and stuff from the forest floor lightly dusts the door. It appears to have recently been opened and in a bit of a rush. For whatever reason you don't notice the presence of a small goblin and a stone man sitting atop the hill.

Enter Lynxy! The fed up goblin.
