Gra'ak Bonesnapper looked to the Rivan and how it had been improved so that there was never a doubt of wind at the girl's back. The cloth of her sails would always be full and able to be given strength so she can travel anywhere over the open seas. "Enough time to have seen the true nature of this sea Captain when she is angry. You'll be hard pressed to find a helmsman that will stay calm and on course during those times through the hell of rouge waves and waterspouts and keep her seaworthy." He would let the words sink in of his claim, that he had managed to survive a hurricane whilst at the helm of the ship. It could very well be exaggerated but Gra'ak was wanting it to be challenged. The captain of the Shackled Nymph had desperately tried to outrun black pirates by sailing through a storm and paid for it with his life against their navigators wishes. His wishes. "You want someone who will stay on her without hesitation. The crew of the Shackled Nymph can tell you what that was like. They lost their hearts for the most part of going out to sea again. Yet this one still will sail." He took a cleansing breath as the sea air filled his lungs. "I know my way around maps. I can keep us on course when others would become lost. I am your man in this task if you'll have this salty bull."

Steely eyes glint in the low noon sun. They remain locked, staring straight ahead into the horizon. After all, eyes aren't how this hunter seeks prey.
Instead, I give a few flicks of the tongue even as my tail settles fully on the ground to better pick up vibrations. It was instinct to do this now, an instinct that had served me well. Hunting was always such a thrill... I had settled upon one of those lone posts of iron jutting out of the ground, supporting a brass lantern at the tip. Probably used for illumination at dark. And I was currently seeking out my rivals.
I had already spied upon Gregoir the Quick for two days now, having discovered his arrival to this dingy town. I'd had my fill of watching my future superior; from what I could tell, he was definetly strong however age had not suited him well. I was worried about this; If he was too weak then he would not serve for my purpose. I had already determined a way to test his mettle once we meet. Hopefully he will meet my expectations; should he not, like all prey: he would fall under my blade. And I would merely seek out a truly worthy captain.
But for now, I was hunting for my future crewmates. Such an odd word, it tingles upon my tongue even as I think of it. Even when I was with the Guardians did the notion of teamwork ever truly settle in the mind; we were all expected to do our part but nothing more. We are snakes after all, and we abhor much company. However, if Gregoir were to be useful to my ends, I'd have to settle down and have to interact with these strangers for a long time.
...No, the notion still tastes too odd. To be part of a group... if they were all just seeking Gregoir as a means to an end, just as I am doing, then I doubt interaction will be easy. That would be fine with me, I was never much of a "people-person".
The Cycle of Life is a harsh mistress that rewards those whom are wise. There is no way this crew, these Blue Morgans, will just click and have an easy time working together. That never works with a group of complete strangers, continuous rumour of various Blue Morgan crews aside.
It usually never does even when we are all of the same race. The guardians hammered that fact well into my mind.
I had already identified quite a few of the interested parties. What kind of hunter would I be if I could not find rivals interested in my own target? Quite a few looked to be actually worth some attention, such as that large bullmorph -"with his gait, he was an experienced sea traveler, and the scars commit to extensive experience"- and that swordsman cook -"Possible multi-wielder? Or just a backup?"-. The others I had sighted, mostly female, were already pinging my instincts by their sheer inexperience with the world. It was an alien feeling... usually, the females of the desert were the more vicious and powerful, and in these forestry climates it is the complete inverse.
It wouldn't stop me from "claiming" them however. It was obvious these weaklings required guidance, especially if they wished to bring out their potential.
Slithering down the pole, completely ignoring the gawking audience I had gathered and ignoring the way they parted and avoided my gaze, I made my way down the street. Whom should I meet with first, my fellow rivals for a position on the crew or finally confront the captain himself?

When he sees the opportunity, Uwakawa moves forward and makes his introduction. "My name is Uwakawa. I can fight, and I cook." With any bit of luck, even his small degree of versatility would be considered a boon. "I also have this..." Reaching into his shirt, Uwakawa pulled out a red hand scroll and offered it to Gregoir to read and examine. The scroll was a letter of recommendation from Uwakawa's teacher, Khazak the Blood Hawk. The contents of the scroll were little more than an attempt to clarify his pedigree, but some documentation was better than none. He had no idea if Gregoir would scoff at the recommendation from a former Crimson Blade, but he was hopeful that it would at least give the old rogue something to consider in his favor.

I had been making my way down one of the town's thouroughfares, scouting out for my rivals for a slot on Gregoir's crew and steadily ignoring the gawking crowd of unimportant civilians (some even seemed to be base clones of each other, weird) when the stench hit me. Slightly tangy, however with a repulsive undertone that reminded one of excrement. The smell of urine, expulsed liquids- in a nutshell, someone nearby was relieving themselves right out in the open, for the stink to be this potent.
From what I had observed, most non-lamia races tended to react with disgust and revulsion to the very thought of excrement. It made sense in a way; the other races developed from herbivore or omnvivorous ancestors that never had much use for excrement than to know whatever was in the area. Whatever droppings they found usually pointed out if there was a predator or a rival herd in the area; if the found dung smelled slightly of meat then that meant it was time to leave the area immediately or wind up being lunch. To predators, however, excrement was something to be very excited about: after all, the fresh smell of something relieving themselves meant that whatever was nearby, it had its guard down. Vulnerability denoted prey, the thing we fed on.
To a lamia, this meant our target had its pants down. There was nothing more appealing in the world, except maybe a female in the middle of her heat just begging for a thorough ramming. So, obviously, I just had to investigate.
With a slight wag of the tailtip at the good news, I immediately began tracking down the smell. I flicked my tongue a few times to get a good taste of the already fading stench; calculating wind direction, referencing potency of smell, angle of perception... with a certainly obvious wicked gleam of the eye, which frightened a small family that had been watching intently at the suddenly immobile naga, I coiled my tail about and leapt for the roofs. Once there, I tasted the air again; there to the northeast, atop that white building with blue roof, the cross atop the entrance denoting a church or temple of some kind, there was a small shadow right where the smell was emanating.
A small smile must have crossed my lips at the discovery. The small twitches in my tail were already evidence of my excitement. "Target acquired."
Making use of my powerful tail, I took to leaping across the roofs as I made my way to the strange figure. I was slightly dissapointed to see whoever it was had finished their business already and descended to street level, however I maintained my higher altitude to make use of the roofs to stalk the female silhouette, taking care to use all of the tricks I had learnt as a hunter to maintain my stealth. Yes,my target was quite obviously female, what with that attire and the obvious swell of hips and jiggling bosom- human judging by their skin and lower body, but the chance remained she was a morph with few animal traits.
My efforts were succesful and the female never noticed me even as she came to a stop at the town pier. Taking advantage of her halt I settled myself with ease onto the roof of the last building in my path to better observe my prey, and found her observing Gregoir's newly enlarged posse. The pirate captain was merely standing in place, standing as tall and rigid as he can in his age before the ship Rivan. It was just as sad looking when I first saw it earlier in the day, with notable patches over its hull and ragged sails. The proud marks of a ship that refused to be sunk- she'd be a worthy vessel to sail on.
Or, with its creaking, would be until it suddenly fell apart at the seams in the middle of the ocean. I couldn't tell, my people had no use for ships in the middle of the desert.
Watching as the woman began making her way to the posse surrounding the veteran captain, I realized my latest target was also one of my new rivals. And, to my concern, some of the more noteworthy characters I had observed earlier had also initiated contact. They had followed what most of the others were doing, perhaps even started the trend: boldly walk up to the veteran Blue Rogue and list off their more notable skills. And Gregoir was merely greeting anyone whom did so. That... couldn't be it, really? Surely the captain needed to be more impressed than just a bland request to join his crew? Of course it was, he was a, experienced sea-man planning on going on his last grand adventure. Perhaps he was merely being courteous? These northern forest men and women put some emphasis on being polite to complete strangers, even when they were being extremely annoying. Was that what the captain was doing? Greeting the riffraff he'll surely slot as the lowest brung on his ship while waiting for a more notable character?
Completely forgetting about the woman I had been stalking, I began surveying the surroundings to see what I could put to use, even as my mind raced. The notable pirate captain will have the impressive man he was seeking, Tahjah swore so.

*************
It had taken some manuevering and blatant use of my sneaking skills to accomplish, however the fact that everyone was focused on Gregoir probably made the effort easier. I had slithered around the crowd, using the shadows to conceal my advance until I could find a spot to toss myself into the ocean where Gregoir and the wannabe sailors couldn't see. Ignoring the boy screaming passionately about how much more I had to live for, I had leapt into the seawater and began making my way back, coming up across the side of the Rivan opposite the shore. That was probably the harder part of my plan, as I was still very unused to treading water despite the limited swimming lessons I received back in the United Emirales. Using that small knowledge, and then making use of my unique snake body, I had then climbed up the Rivan's side and stealthed my way onto the ship. I was slightly concerned by the lack of traps, surely just because Gregoir was at port didn't mean he was that secure to leave his possessions unguarded?
Ignoring my worry and slightly dropped respect, I had then made my way portside and took up the last part of my plan. I had found one of the sturdier parts of the ship railing overseeing the docks and summarily draped myself on it, laying my human torso and some of my tail on the railing, leaving the rest on the ship as a counterweight to avoid embarassing myself and slipping into the ocean, maintaining a lazy and uninterested composure even as I set my eyes on the crowd below. I couldn't tell if Gregoir had already noticed my movement, however most of the gathered hadn't even realized I was there. I was unsure if this was good or not; as a hunter it meant that my hard-won skills were still top-notch despite my recent lack of use, however my plan had called for these wannabe pirates to realize my magnificent presence just like those villagers on the streets. I quickly decided on my ammendment, and slipping one of the daggers from my belt (a common kitchen knife I'd swiped from the tavern) I expertly threw it with seeming disinterest, making sure my aim was true and it didn't hit anyone. It would hit right at the feet of the pirate captain, and would surely attract the attention I wanted.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Hate creating names...so I just stole some from WoW :D

"Last ship I served on was the Maiden's Fancy under captain Masker. Various merchant ships before that." Alissa looks the Riven over before continuing. "Well, no sense to lie about my abilities, I'm not that good with steam technology, my expertise is in magic equipment, I suppose that's more common with elves...I don't see any smokestacks, so your ship still uses magic as a power source, unless you have them hidden somehow, and I can't think of any reason for that."

Tsai-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(GM Roll-11, 3)
Your attempt at a distraction does work, and they have to move out of the way to keep from having the boxes land on themselves. However, in your haste to get away you walk right into a nearby crate. Stars fill your vision for a moment, and when they clear away you find yourself sitting on the floor...with the two men and some of their friends standing around you.
"Admiring the women ey? Well, why didn't ya say so. It's far better to do it up close though, wouldn't you say?" One of them says as he picks you up and begins moving you towards the brothel side of the warehouse, a simple curtain the only thing keeping what's going on within from prying eyes. The sounds of men grunting and women moaning fills your ears as they lead you inside. You don't see any oppurtunity to try and make a break, not with their friends surrounding you.

Soru-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"That I do, but I'm not taking just any one lassy. What can you do to help make sure this voyage is full of success and riches?" He replies, casting his eye away from the other hopefuls and giving you a one over. "Pirate ships don't just have nothing but men and women waving swords and guns around after all."

Goryokaku-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"One test should suffice, sides I only need one engineer, and we've got such a prospect over here too." He says, and then hands you a scroll with a small list of things on it. The list goes as follows: Two weeks worth of fresh food, a number of basic tools and supplies that any ocean going ship would need, and underlined and circled twice is a potion called Grug. You've heard of it, it's supposed to be an energy elixir, meant to give its drinker a major boost in stamina and strength. Some middle-aged warriors and soldiers were known to use it before entering battle to give themselves a more even chance against younger opponents.
It also had the infamous side-effect of making one rather horny for hours on end, unless drank in small doses. Which leaves you to wonder at the exact reason why Gregoir wanted it.
"I want you to get everything on that list as cheap as you possibly can. Especially the last item. Sad as it is to say, I'm not as fast as I used to be." He hands over a pouch of gold coins, and then says "Get everything on that list, and anything left is yours to use."

Brand Name-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Gregoir turned and looked your way when you approached, and his nose wrinkled a bit as he got a whiff of you. "Blasted Lass, a bit early to be smelling like a brewery isn't it?" He does not however simply leave you be, as he notices your brief look at himself. "Thinking of challenging the old warrior are ye? It'd certainly be a way to make an impression...though I'd have to say you'd need to be better than decent to hope that such could land you a spot on my crew."

TCELEB-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The crowd parts for you, and soon enough you are standing in front of the legendary pirate. "A nice performance miss, you've certainly got talent. I suspect your here to try and earn a spot on my crew?" Getting an affirmitive, he hums to himself for a moment. "Well, you've certainly got points in your favor already...but I want a bit more. How about in an hour, you do a performance at the Leaking Tankard? I'll make sure you have an audience, so don't worry about that part. If you can bring the house down, you've gotten your spot."

URHR-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It does not look like people are leaving, indeed, it almost seems like more people are arriving to see the possible hopefuls, or just to see Gregoir himself. The edge of the crowd is even starting to draw closer to you...you might have to wait a while longer, or you might have to find some way to draw attention away from Gregoir so you can approach him without having so many eyes on you.

Amaranis-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The dancer girl shakes her head. "Sorry, but I just finished my work a little while ago. I was just chatting with Ladila here before heading home." She turns back to Ladila, and adds "See ya tonight when the crowd comes in."
"Take care." Ladila says, then turns her focus towards you. "So hun, what'll it be?"

Shura-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Gregoir takes the scroll and looks it over, letting out a low whistle at one point. When he finishes, he rolls the scroll up and hands it back to you. "High praise from a Crimson Blade...they're hard to impress, or so I've seen. There is but one thing however, before I can say whether or not you can join my crew.
Tell me...how mean of a Kelos Lizard Tart can ya make?"

Laughing Hyena-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Hmm..." Gregoir murmurs, closing his eyes and thinking to himself as he went over your claim. After a moment, he walks closer and says "Your gonna have to show some of your skills off. Meet me on the Rivan in an hour, we'll take her out for a quick spin round the area, see how ya do."

Philosopher-and Hyena and Phoenixcz
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(GM Roll-11)
The knife successfully sails thru the air and lands at the Captain's feet, and it draws his as well as the crowds attention. Where the crowd looks towards the knife first, Gregoir looks toward you first. His face is hard to read, but you notice that the instant your blade had thudded into the ground his hands had flashed over to the hilts of his swords and he had turned to face the ship. You manage to catch what he says.
"You two," He says, referring to the elven engineer and the Bull-morph, "Come with me. Your tests just got a little more interesting."
He then begins making his way towards the ship, his face still unreadable.

Phoenixcz-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Good eyes. Yes, the Rivan's engine runs on magic, supplied by enchanted crystals I've bought or salvaged. It can also be powered directly by someone with magical abilities, but that tends to be rather draining on the person doing it.
Your test is gonna be done aboard the ship too. It's been making some odd noises and not wanting to cooperate the last week or so. If you can figure out whats wrong with it, your welcome to sail with me."

Kuro-GM Control Mode activated
Taking a moment to think about it, she decided she knew how to attract the pirate captain's attention, especially after the sudden entrance of that snake guy. Taking a steadying breath, she leapt from the roof and landed on the neighboring building, She followed this up by hopping from roof to roof until she finally had the last leap to make. Deciding to add a bit of flair to it, she somersaulted off the warehouse, landing on the ground in beside Gregoir. "Any chance I can lend a hand?"

Gregoir gives you a lookover briefly, then nods and says "Come along then. I take it your another hopeful?" At your nod, Gregoir grunts and says "Well, your test is gonna be helping me find out what's up with the Naga sitting on my ship."

Kal nodded, taking the list and the pouch of gold coins, she turned around and made her way back towards the market it was time to play with some merchants, she needed to work her trade the fact she was a girl would help with this merchants always relaxed around a pretty face. Strolling into the market area she took her time looking around to see what items were sold at what shops, it was going to be an interesting but reasonably easy challenge for her and applying for the merchant role would give her the free time she would need for her inventing. She made her first stop at the food stand it would be the best to make sure the ship had it's food supplies and maintenance supplies sorted first the other items she would get afterwards, before entering the market she opened up the money bag Gregoir had given her, she needed to know what budget she had to work with.

Watching as my ploy works, I suppose there was no way I could have surpressed the slightly smug upturned corner of my lips even as I see my intended captain turn to speak to the BullMorph and the Elf.
I wasn't all that content with just attracting attention, an action that was anathema to a hunter such as himself. Even now, a corner of my mind was demanding an explanation for why I had done such a bull-headed (no pun intended) move, though I was well aware just sneaking up on the Blue Rogue would have merely merited a hatchet to the head and probably less respect than my "flamboyant" entrance. People out here in the forests didn't look favorably on the use of stealth, I'd learnt. They considered it "dishonorable" or some such nonsense. If that was how they usually thought no wonder there were so few hunters in these areas; I still sometimes wondered how they managed to gather all the meat they need to keep their cities fed, despite having caught glimpses of several farms and butchers as I had made my way to this small northern town.
No, what I was happy about was Gregoir's personal attention to my own person, and how his "presence" had just flared up the moment my dagger thudded into the ground, when his hands came to lay upon his weapons in preparation of threat; such an immense weight, even if it was merely present for a few seconds, it had nearly crushed my own subtle presence completely. This fact had me immensely delighted; the man I had chosen to see if he was worthy of leading and guiding me was truly powerful.
People from civilized regions tended to term what I knew as "presence" to an "aura", but they were essentially the same- it was the announcement and exposure of one's own "soul", which was felt as the "weight of their experiences". Weak civilians, whom had never faced a difficult fight or encountered personal threat of death, and even immature adventurers blinded by their arrogance were completely ignorant of these auras. True, experienced men and women were capable of producing and feeling auras. The more experiences and maturity a person carried, the greater their presence. The mark of an aura was the only definite proof if a person was greater than the norm. Even the most lavished kings or the more experienced generals were not considered great if they did not carry this "aura".
Said presence or aura was textured by the carrier's experiences. My own aura was most likely tinged as bloodlust of the hunt, the arid desert winds of my homeland and conquering prey. And, even as Gregoir began ascending onto his property accompanied by my rivals, I was flaring up my own presence even as I drew up my body to greet them with a coy expression, my face smoothed into its previous disinterest even as my eyebrow rose.
"So thou art Gregoir the Swift? Veteran Blue Rogue hoping to sail away on one final adventure? You are a bit old for adventuring, aren't thou elder?"

Matthew sighs a bit as the dancer turns to leave, but the prospect of her returning to perform perks him up - in more ways than one. Turning his full attention to the barkeep, he lays some of his ill-gotten gold on the counter.

"A modest meal and a hardy drink. If you care to join me, you could get something for yourself as well."

Matthew waits a moment for her to get about her work, before passively deciding to try and get some information from her. After all, where people eat, there is talk.

"Sure seems like a lot of people are trying to get on that ship with Gregoir. Too bad, I doubt I will be able to make much of an impression on him. Wish I knew a way how..."
Sometimes I think i'm crazy, but then my other voice says i'm alright.

I'm not sure if i'm just too creative, or just cant focus on one thing.

Unable to stifle a smile, she takes another swig of rum to hide her grin. Afte throwing the empty bottle to the ground she draws Daybreaker and Awakening and readies a combat stance. And in response to her musk, she adds, "Well, capp'n, you should know, of all people. It's never to early for a drink!"

When the dagger lands between her and Gregoir, Alissa is startled and starts looking for the thrower while reaching for her pistol. Her reaction is fast, but there's still noticable delay- obviously, her first instinct was to discover what's going on, and not immediately going for her weapon as warrior would. Seeing the captains reaction to the naga, or better, lack of it, she doesn't draw and follows him aboard, but keeps her hand on the grip of her pistol and watches the naga warily.

"Well, depends if you want to exhaust your crystals or your crew...using a ship mage's strenght is usualy cheaper then getting new crystals, but drained mage is less useful if you need to fight. Of course, any smart mage would want pay raise if he's to be used as a power source, so there's not much of a difference in the final cost, I suppose."

Alissa smiles, and looks intrigued when Gregoir mentions trouble with the engine. "Care to elaborete? Noises from where exactly, and what do you mean by "not wanting to cooperate"? It would help to know where to start looking for the problem without having to actually start the engine. Does it do that even when idle...I mean, started, but not actually powering the ship..., or only from certain output up?"

Gra'ak Bonesnapper notes the knife and then the one aboard the Captains ship. Gripping his hand tight he would let his anger subdue because the captain was fine and if anything he was very much in the mindset that if the Captain was under any threat he could handle it. You don't become old as a pirate unless you are very good at it. Secondly it was Gregoir whom snapped his mind back to attention as he would follow Gregoir. He wasn't sure what he was planning with the bull yet but he had a suspicion that it was going to involve him taking the ship out for a test at the helm or something similar.

Rosa thought for a moment. What would a pirate ship need from someone like her. "Well if it's riches you want, I can get them. I've stolen from the riches family with the tightest security. If you need something stolen quietly and be gone before anybody notices, I'm your lass. I can also talk my way out of situations, so I can negotiate for the ship as well. If that doesn't help convince you, then you're going to need to tell me what you need."

People are leaving, but for each of them... two, three or even four comes and replace the ones that are gone. The crowd only grows, occupying more space till it almost arrives near her. Things are getting annoying, and it doesn't seems that the situation will get better until... a dagger lands in front of the pirate. Sae looks in the direction it came from, and the source seems to be... strange. Surely, something that thing is something she never saw in her life. That thing was... human, but was also a snake. His torso was definitively that of a human male, but from his waist down, a serpentine figure came out, continuing and ending with a tail. She saw a lot of morphs after leaving her hometown, but it was her first time seeing a... snake man. Curious, Sae doesn't let her eyes leave the figure, not until the pirate begins to make his way toward the ship, obviously to meet the new and exotic figure. Yes, this was her chance. She could approach the pirate, and at the same time she could see more up close that unusual being.

Apparently someone else also has the same idea, jumping down from somewhere and approaching the old pirate, but she goes ahead anyway and with fast movements approach Gregoir <Can i join?> she would have been more wordy, if it wasn't for her awkwardness around people she doesn't know, but it doesn't matter, as the "katana" behind her back should make it clear to the pirate that she's potentially a candidate to his crew... though he will probably think of her as a fighter type that uses a long weapon, since that's how she probably appears to the ones who don't know about the "true form" of her weapon.

If the pirate answer would be positive she'll skip ahead, sprinting to the snake-man and, once she reaches him <Who?> she'll just utter. Not a girl of many words, with unknown people. She's would be alert for any suspect movements from the naga, but her hand will be down, far from the hilt of her weapon... but near the hidden hilt of the lower kodachi, that corresponds with the lower end of the scabbard. Neat trick, but often successful.

Taking the scroll, Uwakawa tucks it back inside his frayed shirt. "Desserts aren't my specialty, but if you've got a proper kitchen, and the right ingredients, I'll let you judge for yourself." While Uwakawa may have been tempted to exaggerate the width of his culinary skills, it wasn't in his nature to be boastful. More importantly, Gregoir didn't strike him as the sort of man who would appreciate being lied to.

GM: Going ahead and making a GM Post. If I missed anyone (including those not present, save Reena atm) please state such in the OOC.

Goryokaku-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Looking inside the bag, you find a surprising amount of gold inside, some of the coins even of varying sizes. Short of trying to buy your own ship, it looks like you've got plenty of money to spend, somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 gold. However, the food stand that you stop at doesn't look like its going to have enough for you to get the rations the ship will need for its voyages, at least starting out anyways. Perhaps the Dock Offices will have enough food in stock to supply the ship...and you could probably get most of the other supplies there too.

Tsai-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"Well then, ya shouldn't have stolen aboard the cart now, should ya?" One of them says, but then stops before pushing you into the main area of the brothel. The sounds of people enjoying sex is easily audible, and you feel a part of you growing somewhat wet as it echoes in your ears.

The guy looks to his two other friends, the others pushing the curtain aside as they walk in, giving you a better glimpse of what's going inside then you previously had. He snaps his fingers, getting your attention as he says "Tell ya what girly, we'll let this slide...but your gonna have to do a bit of work." He raises his hand up as your begin to show alarm, adding hastily "We ain't gonna take your pussy or nothing, but you gotta suck me off and jerk my two pals here off. If it makes ya feel better, after your done we'll give ya something to clean up with."

Philosopher+Phoenixcz+Hyena+Brand+URHR+Soru+Shura+Kuro(GM CONTROL ACTIVATED)-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Group post, take into consideration other players posts.)

Gregoir comes to a stop in front of you, with a number of your potential rivals standing behind him. It looks like the elf-girl and the bull morph weren't the only ones to come up, because the rest seemed to have followed along. Several of them...including the lady you had previously tracked to the Captain, looked ready to fight alongside him, should it become necessary.

(Phoenixcz)Gregoir seems to have for the moment forgotten about your questions, his focus on the Naga. You notice that several other potential hopefuls have followed aboard, so perhaps while the Captain deals with this, you could head down and check the engine yourself. Or you could remain here and see what happens.

(Hyena)You soon find yourself aboard the Rivan, standing to the right of the captain. It feels good just to be standing on the ship, as you can feel the gentle sway of the ocean pushing against the ship as it sits in dock. However, now is not the time to appreciate being aboard a ship again, now is the time to see what, if any, threat this intruder poses.

(Brand)Before the Captain can answer your obvious challenge to his combat abilities, his and your own attention are drawn to the Naga who has appeared aboard his ship. You become slightly offended when the Captain seems to forget your presence, but considering that he hadn't yet responded to you, and considering that the Bull and Elf girls challenges seemed to be aboard the ship, its no surprise he mentioned them only.

But your not gonna let this chance slip you by, so you make after them, and soon find yourself standing beside the Bull and the others who decided to tag along.

(URHR)You follow Gregoir and the others aboard, and a bit more as you move toward the snake-man. Gregoir seems to be holding back, gazing at the intruder warily, but you do catch that an eyebrow quirks up when you query the naga.

(Soru)Like the others, you follow the Blue Rogue aboard to confront the intruder. Perhaps this is an oppurtunity for you to demonstrate those negotiating skills you have...or if your quick about it, maybe you could attempt to disarm the naga.

(Shura)Following the rest aboard, it seems like there's plenty of people to handle the situation at hand, though you may wish to stay regardless. However, the Captain wanted to know if you were capable of making a specific dish, and now that your aboard, perhaps you could find the kitchen and get started on your test.

(Kuro)Taking the Captain's invitation, you follow him aboard and stand ready to aid him should things go south. He seems to be eyeing the Naga at the moment, though one of the other hopefuls seems to have taken initiative before the Captain could say anything.

(Philosopher)"That be my name stranger, but this being my ship I believe I have the right to ask what one of yer kind be doing aboard my ship, let alone sending a blade my way." He looks you over briefly, before adding, "You have the makings of someone who could be an assassin, but I don't recall assassin's having such poor aim, if killing me was your intent.

So...why are ye here?"

TCELEB-(GM CONTROL ACTIVATED)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

She nods and replies earnestly "I'll make it a performance this town won't forget!" She promises the captain, then makes for the tavern as the Captain turns to deal with what appears to be an intruder upon his ship. Knowing his reputation, she decides to go stake out the tavern and see what she'll have to work with for her pirate impressing performance.

It doesn't take long to find the tavern, and she walks in and begins to look around, noting the piano as a possible asset that she could add to her show.

Amaranis-
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

"I can get you something, but I'm afraid I can't share a drink with ya. I don't drink when I'm working, and I ate a while ago." Ladila turns and looks over at a thick and somewhat squat cat-morph whose wearing an apron, and appears to be trying to chat up some of the local girls who've stopped in. "Hey Brikat, get your sodding tail over here, we got a hungry customer!"

As the cat-morph quickly rushes over, though its more like a hurried waddle thanks to his girth, Ladila gets to work on your drink. When you mention Gregoir, she smirks. "I've heard a few dozen of the local tough guys have tried to impress him, most failed rather impressively. Seems more like the folks coming in from out of town are more likely to get somewhere, seeing as some of them look like adventurer types."

She finishes making your drink, which smells delightful, and a quick pull from it tells you its exactly what you were wanting, and she adds "Course, any ship needs some people to pull grunt work. After he fills up the bigger jobs, he'll probably take on anyone whose had some experience on the seas or is willing to work hard. If your good at either of those, that's always a way."

Just then, another customer...or perhaps performer walks in, glancing around at the place in an almost thief like manner...though maybe that's because your a thief, and see it as such.

I was beginning to think this wasn't as such a good idea, seeing the array of colorful characters before me. However my pride demanded I remain firm and ignore my unease; I had faced several Diabotle -a powerful tusked wyvern known as the Desert Tyrant- before, even two at once (a fight I was forced to flee, but no one would ever know that), and I was certain that even if the situations were to derail I could fend the others off.

"That be my name stranger," the elder pirate began, and already Tahjah could tell his ploy had worked as the Blue Rogue was watching him contemplatively, "but this being my ship I believe I have the right to ask what one of yer kind be doing aboard my ship, let alone sending a blade my way. You have the makings of someone who could be an assassin, but I don't recall assassin's having such poor aim," that little dig didn't even merit a response, despite my stinged pride, "if killing me was your intent. So...why are ye here?"

And there was my cue. Dropping my disinterested facet to show off my true, bloodthirsty leer that showed off my slightly dripping fangs (a decision aided by the obvious insult) I drew myself off of the railing and rose to my fullest height; I had learnt this pose was rather intimidating when I'd tested it against several would be bandits. Those fools weren't among the living any longer, of course. However, anyone who knew Naga would realize I was doing the equivalent of puffing myself up by standing on the tips of my metaphorical toes. It wasn't all that silly either; with my new position I could quickly coil myself back and then pounce forward.
A hunter never lets down his guard. It's fairly easy to suddenly become prey the moment you do so.
"That's a stupid question! Why, look around you old man," I shouted, the enthusiasm and sarcasm in my voice quite evident, "Aren't you recruiting a couple of adventurers? For a last round the world trip that would come to be into legend? Why else would someone of Tahjah's personage not be here then!" I had made a point to subtly manuever myself closer to the boat's mast even as I grandstanded. Like or not the crowd was making me antsy, the open area not helping the anxiousness, and my hunter instincts were driving me to get to a better position. Should worse come to worse I would climb up to the crow's nest and then toss myself off the sail towards the pier, the landing wouldn't provide any trouble. I'd rather stand my ground as much as I could before then, however; my strategy required me to show off at the moment, and fleeing wouldn't impress my chosen leader.

Kal sighed the market didn't have the supplies she was going to need it was weird in the sense that they didn't have enough in the food market but she didn't let it really effect her the dock officer was going to have to be her main port of call, it was a good lesson in one regard she guessed after all she was going to have to visit the dock officers in all the port towns and cities, "Oh well I better get going then." The amount of money she'd been given was generous for the supplies but then the Grug was going to be expensive and probably needing a specialised store to get it from. Entering the Dock Officers office Kal looked around, to see if she could find the man in charge.
The sex offenders register... I don't even think they should be at school...

Rosa narrowed her eyes at the Naga. She could tell it was trying to make itself look intimidating by trying to make it self look bigger, a tactic she's scene and even tried before. She silently crept to the side of the ship to the rope shrouds on the sides. She quietly climbed the ropes while the naga was focused on everybody else. Once she was high enough she'll try to get a jump on the Naga and then disarm him. Whether or not that worked she'll try to see if she can talk him into standing down.
