The waitress smiled and gave a breif bow before dissappearing back inside the shop. Jason nodded as he listened to the convosation. "That's... one way of looking at it, miss" he replied to the amulet being described in a unique way. "And yes. See, the way it was explained to me was that some people are born different, due to their mother or father, or maybe even both, being different themselves. Before being born, some... magicy thing covers you and makes you appear Human. Because you have no reason to believe otherwise, you learn to be Human, and do Human things. Then, if you encounter an amulet, that magic breaks and is... replaced". He took a breath after trying his best to describe the situation through his more canine jaws. "A demonstration, perhaps? This isn't my true form, but it gives an indication of what it is". Standing up and taking a step back, Jason touched his amulet and his form shifted again - in a matter of moments, he had become a large, shaggy black dog with large, saucer-shaped eyes and slightly bared teeth. On all fours he was nearly 3 feet tall at the shoulder

"No shit they are a problem!" the girl almost growled. "They don't play by anybody's rules excep their own, and can't be killed - they just come back later". Leaning against the wall, she let out a sigh and closed her eyes. "Look pal, can you at least try to look like a human when out in broad daylight? Either that, or use the underground to get around. Trains are every 5 minutes, and the tunnels are wide enough that you can slip down them or hide on the top of the train, or whatever. Or, y'know, just restrict yourself to being all beastly in Avalon"
