Well she may only get a view into part of the room beyond, but at least if someone is in there they might be less likely to see the door open. She eyed the barrels with some longing as she realized she was a bit hungry. She cannot see anyone, but light is coming from outside her view. Someone was certainly in the room, but the lack of any shouting meant she had gone unnoticed. Turning back to the others she put her fingers to her lips before opening the door the rest of the way. Carefully she stepped into the room slowly ready to spring in at the first sign that her presence had been detected.

Noticing Eliza's signal, Aelius tries to stay as quiet as he can, but still preparing to storm into the room at the first sign of trouble.

Eliza Sharpfang:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As Eliza opens the door further, the source of light seems to move as the light dances over the wall before going out. The room briefly succumbs to shadows before the brazier on the wall lights up with a flame, lighting up the rest of the room.

Upon entering, Eliza sees that the part of the room she couldn't see before is filled with more boxes and another table. The additional table lacks a chair, but has what resembles an odd toolbox on top of it together with five glass jars, all seemingly containing a fairy. Four of them seem to lay in different positions of rest while the fifth seems to desperately trying to chip away at a crack in her jar with something. Each glass jar has a straw in the cork, presumably to let the faeries breathe.

Eliza let out a gasp when opening the door proved enough to douse the only light in the room. When the braziers lit on their own she presumed the worst and rushed into the room prepared to bring her sword down on someones head. Upon entering she saw no one was there. Confused she looked around a little more until her eyes fell on the bottles and their fairy occupants. Were they the ones responsible for the light? Fours of them lazed about as if resigned or unconcerned with their situation, but one was desperately trying to break itself free, so she lifted it up before turning back to the others, "What do you make of this?"

Eliza Sharpfang:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Picking up the jar, Eliza immediately notices that the fairy is using a piece of glass (presumably from the the crack she's trying to widen) and that holding onto it has injured her hands, the blood being a big give away.

As soon as the jar is lifted, the fairy turns around in panic but quickly calms down as she notices it isn't a guard who picked her jar up. Instead her face screws up in confusion. "Wait, you're not a guard? Those clothes! You're a prisoner as well and you've managed to escape? Great, please help me and my friends." The fairy pleads, trying it's best puppy eyes as she looks up at Eliza.

Upon not hearing a battle, but rather a question, Maxwell enters the room, scanning it for anything useful. Upon noticing the fairies in jars he'll comment, "Sounds like the slavers intended to sell them for ingredients or very expensive pets. I don't believe they can have collars put upon them so the jars must be spelled to hold them. See what you can find on that one while I check her friends."

Maxwell will examine the four fairies that are laying down to determine their state of health.

Maxwell Brewer:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Upon examining the remaining Faeries, Maxwell notices that they all seem to be asleep besides the one in the Jar Eliza had picked up. All of them seem to be alright if not a little cold without any clothes on. All of the Faeries but the one in the jar to the far left are female.

Noticing Maxwell staring at her friends, the awake Fairy turns her attention to him. "Hey you creep! Don't you know it's rude to stare at a woman's body like that you pervert?"

Arching a brow in amusement Maxwell will explain himself, "Little miss, I am a healer and only inspecting your friends for injuries. My intentions are only for their well being." Noticing her bloody hands he will offer, "I see you are injured. I may have enough mana to heal you, if you wish."

Eliza could see the fairy was injured as she saw the blood on the glass bottom. The fairy didn't appear to notice her until she picked the jar up, "Yes, we are prisoners looking for a way out right now." She turned back to Maxwell as the fairy misunderstood the healer's behavior. When he offered to help with her hand Eliza decided to act, "I'll just pop this open then." Wrapping her hands around the bottle and cork she popped it free giving the fairy access to the open air.

Maxwell Brewer:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The Fairy huffs but relents. "Fine, but if you do anything to them, you'll answer to me." She says before flashing in a quick burst of light, showing him her now healed and cleaned hands. "Also, I appreciate your concern, but I've got things handled." She states before turning her attention towards Eliza.

Eliza Sharpfang:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As soon as the lid comes off, the sound of buzzing insect wings seems to fill the room as the Fairy shoots across the room and flies in behind the desk too quick to follow with the eyes. A steady clicking noise starts as the buzzing of wings settles.

Aelius follows the other two into the room after looking around the hallway one last time, he was still concerned about that spy. Noticing the Faries he moves in closer. ''Faries? These slavers really have no boundaries do they?'' His incredible anger at the villains returns to his eyes. ''I'll show them to pick on someone their own size.'' He calms down and looks at Maxwell. ''Are they okay? We should free them!'' He starts opening the other bottles, only now noticing their lack of proper attire. ''Uhm, do you think they have any of your clothes here?''

Eliza watched as the fairy flew away. In response to Maxwell's question she said, "Not sure, but she seemed too concerned with her friends to leave without them, so she's probably hanging around." Of course with how small she was and with her wings not fluttering it would be near impossible to spot her. Deciding not to worry about it she joined Aelius in opening the remaining bottles up. She wondered if the other fairies would scatter like that one. These ones looked less energetic so maybe not.

While the others work to free the remaining fairies Maxwell will go over the strange toolbox, checking it over carefully due to the oddness of it. He'll even try to sense it for magic. Should it appear harmless he will open the box to search it.

Eliza Sharpfang:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Opening up the jars only results in waking the remaining Faeries, making them look around in confusion as they were waking up.

Maxwell Brewer:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Inspecting the toolbox is easy, seeing as it was already open and simply displaying it's content. The contents of the toolbox are mainly what looks like miniature wooden staffs with gem tops and what looks like miniature shackles and handcuffs. There is also a few droppers and small containers full of different liquids. If any of the content used to be magical, that is no longer the case.

Between her and Aelius the remaining four jars were soon opened. These fairies of course still seemed tired. She wondered a bit what happened to lead them to be less energetic than their other companion. "Come on, wake up. We're freeing you now. I've got a beef to pick with these bandits, so I'm not inclined to let them do whatever they had planned for you."

"It would appear the bandits were trying to make equipment just to enslave the fairies.", Maxwell will announce. Looking back at the rest of the group he says, "These people are quite mad. To try to enslave the fairy people.... why do that?"

Aelius growls. "Maybe they'll tell us when they surrender, although I hope they won't surrender, these bandits aren't worth the air they breath." He looks down at the fairies and looks at the equipment, especially the fluids. "Any idea what that might be? Why would they be keeping it?"

Realizing it was another room being used by the bandits and not an exit Auri decided she would be wiser stay outside to watch for any others that may come across them, be they friend or foe. Keeping an ear on the sounds coming from within the room she kept her eyes watching the corridor.

Maxwell shakes his head,"No, afraid not. And we don't have enough time for me to study them. Unless our fairy friends know I can take these samples with us to study at a later date."
