Eliza lifts her sword up to her shoulder while turning to the mane, "Yeah you came to the right place then. Just a stubborn lock being dealt with." She supposed it would be good to get introductions out of the way before they ran off to either escape or find evidence of the bandit's wrong doing. "I'm Eliza Sharpfang, I wish we were meeting under better circumstances, but this is how it is."

When he sees the polite man Aelius smiles at him. The demeanour, the way of walking. He seemed almost like a cleric or something. He moved his sword to his left hand and reached his right hand forward for a shake. ''Aelius Feralian, knight.''

Taking the knights extended hand Maxwell gives a firm but slight handshake as he tries not to jar the sleeping elf in his arms. "Maxwell Brewer, and my companion next to me is Ayla. The slumbering elf has not awoken yet. I fear the branding she went through took quite the toll upon her.", he'll say solemnly with a nod to the elf, "Pleasure to meet you both, Aelius and Eliza. I take it you both wish to abscond from this place as well?"

Vella Antina
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

(Vella's perception roll: 6. Vella ends up wasting some time.)
(Vella's second attempt roll: 19. Vella manages to find another way to find the source.)

Vella tries to navigate to the source of the sound she heard earlier, but finds it hard due to how it had echoed. It takes her quite some time, but she eventually manages to find the apparent source due to others already having converged in that particular area. Their speech being much easier to follow. Still hiding above everyone's heads, Vella gets a clear view of all of them.

"Well now that the introductions were done it's probably time to get out of here." Eliza stopped when she considered what Maxwell had said for a moment. Pointing a finger at the slave branded girl in his arms she spoke, "You do know what'll happen if you're caught with her right?"

Maxwell frowns at the thought. "I do. But I also know what will happen to her if I don't. I may not be able to help everyone here, but I can at least try to help some.", he will state.

Eliza shrugged her shoulders. It wouldn't hurt having her with them. It wasn't like the bandits would treat them any worse just because they grabbed a slave during their escape attempt. Likely she'd just need to part ways with the man once they left, "Very well, we really should get moving. I haven't had any chance to explore this place at all, so I think it would be best if someone else lead the way." Turning back to the cell she waved to its three occupants, "Farewell...and good luck."

"From my time here I can tell you that the way I came from is typically the direction the guards go to turn in for the night. Other than that...", Maxwell shrugs helplessly, "I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this place. Does anyone know the layout of this structure?"

Eliza listened to Maxwell, "Well I certainly don't know the layout here, so it certainly has better odds of leading us out than anywhere I was going to suggest." Stretching her muscles a bit she gave him a smile, "Whenever your ready, lead the way."

Aelius listens to the conversation. ''I fully intend to head back here and clean out the scum once I get myself some proper equipment, just so you know.'' His eyes turn dead serious again. ''Laws are all fine and good, but they weren't intended this way. You all seem like decent enough people, and once I am out of here, I would love to team up with all of you to take them down.''

"Indeed, they were not.", Maxwell will say in agreement with the warrior, "Come, I will show you the path I took and a possible way out. We could meet resistance that way so be ready.", he'll warn before guiding the others along the path he just came from.

Eliza gave a grin to Aelius, "sure I think I owe these people something fierce." Turning back to Maxwell she lifted the sword up resting it against her shoulder making certain not to cut herself with the blade, "I'm as ready as I'm gonna get so lead the way." With that she followed the man down the halls keeping a close eye for anything unexpected.

Eliza takes a brief look into Maxwell's old cell for only a brief moment before turning to the door that promised their freedom. "You said the guards leave through here when their shift is up?" With any luck that meant they might find some of the guards usual armor somewhere back their. Taking the door handle into her fist she slowly turned it, pulling the door open slowly to avoid making a racket.

Aelius follows the others and looks at the door. "Let's be careful, the last time we entered a door we almost got killed by a witch-cat." He chuckles "Let's not underestimate our captors"

Maxwell nods in response to Eliza's statement. "That is correct. Be careful, though. I'm able to tend to any injuries you may incur but not immediately. My magic reserves are quite low. Though if necessary could borrow from others, but only with consent.", he'll inform the group. Not being a fighter Maxwell will hang back as the group progresses and follow them through.

Recognizing the group Edna follows behind them, not yet confronting them but tailing them from a distance. She would prefer to learn more about them before deciding to confront them. That being said she stays within earshot listening in to their conversation. She uses her training as a monk to take discipline n her steps, making sure to be light footed and quite her breathing.

Eliza grumbles a bit under her breath as both men tell her to be careful. Yeah, as if she needed to be told that like some reckless pup. As quietly as she could she opened the door just a crack to give herself the room needed to look through and see what was on the other side.

Keeping up with the group Auri silently followed them to the door, drawing a simple map in her mind of what she's seen of the place thus far. She tried to stand at least twice her arms length from any other, but kept the strange elf in her view as best she could. Not that she felt particularly cramped, just that it'd be difficult for her to defend herself without ample room. Ever so slightly too short to see over those in front of the door she listened carefully as they opened it.

Eliza Sharpfang:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The door opens inwards, meaning opening it just a crack only reveals part of the room. However, opening the door just a little still allows Eliza to see about half of the room. Inside she can see a few boxes stacked against the far wall, as well as an open barrel filled with apples. There is also a desk and a chair with a stack of papers on it. The braziers on the wall are unlit but the room seems to be illuminated by something out of sight on the other side of the room.
