Faye stayed on the main level while Selena and the Tech Priestess took the stairs to the upper level. Faye found herself walking down a long curved passage that led to the various hangers. Security wasn't very tight and she easily avoided the sentries and make her way to the nearest open hanger. Two looted Imperial guard Valkyries were resting while the flight crews were refilling fuel and munitions. Of the six of them four seemed to be busy with the craft while two others were crouched near a crate toying with a trapped rat. "... this ones not very skittish... it keeps twitching too." The other one shrugged cutting off the rats escape with his knife making it skitter back in the other direction. "Probably disease ridden, I'm more interested in how it got in here." As she watches Faye sees the rat finally fall to the ground and convulse. With a few twitches it suddenly splits open as a large wormlike creature emerges devouring the rat on its way out. The two crewmen let out shouts of surprise and fall back stumbling over themselves. "What the hell is that thing?!"

Upstairs Selena helped the Tech Priestess shuffle down one of the corridors until they came across what looked like the starports control room. Three rebels were inside directing the local air traffic and seemed oblivious to them despite the glass windows. Further on Selena could see a room that had a guard stationed out front by the door. Through the doorway she could make out a few maps but not enough details to know what they were for. The guard was armed with a lasgun and had some flak armor but it was just him nearby.

Ash squirms back through the defense grid and arrives at the truck but as she reaches for the cabin she feels a gun muzzle pushed to her back. "Come with me human, your companion is safe and we only wish to talk." The Eldar claimed as she felt the gun being taken away slowly. Turning she saw an Eldar clad in black armor motioning for her to move to the back of the truck. Once there the lead Eldar pulled away her mask showing a blonde woman with strange eyes that faintly glowed purple in the night. "I am Esthar of Ulthwe, You are the Inquisitions servants are you not?" She asked seeming to know enough about the Imperial hierarchy to recognize their positions. Three other Eldar stood back, one facing the bunker while the other watched the mountains.

Rosette moved to the side and followed the path downwards a few levels until she heard a frustrated roar from above as the creature lost her for now. Moving on she found an open access door and glanced through to see it led to a catwalk high above a vast chamber at least a hundred meters tall and maybe half that wide. Inside the cylindrical chamber she saw a platform which held a small circular portal currently active which a dark figure stepped through. Across the platform was the apparition she had met earlier who had sicked the chaos spawn on her only he looked much more substantial now that she had already seen his illusion once. The portals frame shook and then shorted out, flames engulfed the nearby Heretech's killing most instantly as the black figure calmly walked across the platform. She could make out the heavy figure of power armor along with the sigil of chaos on its left shoulder... one of the dreaded fallen space marines no doubt at least the portal hadn't lasted long enough to send more through. The two figures spoke to each other but she couldn't hear anything from this distance.

Little else came to mind but for one. Turning to the tech priest Selena proposed her idea for her to distract the guard while the priestess would get pass the door. It was too risky to cause a firefight right now. If she agreed Selena would try to pass herself off as a scared recruit looking for comfort from another. Deciding to find a private place before hand to take him to and where she could leave her armor hidden. The Armor might be too distracting if she approached him. Making her cleavage a bit more exposed and her cloths a bit more dirty. She would walk by him sniffling about to cry as she would jus so happen to notice him. Walking op to him to ask "I... I'm sorry to bother you but... Sniff I'm a new recruit and I... I don't want to be alone right now." Looking up at him as she said this her ccloths exposing quote a lot of skin.

Feeling the barrel pressing to her back, Ash freezes and mentally scorns herself. She shouldn't have been caught offguard so easily. An Eldar's voice comes as a surprise to her, but not an unwelcomed one. Despite all their faults, Eldar are enemies of Chaos just like the Imperium, and they formed uneasy alliances against common foes just a little less often then they fought each other. Of course, that still doesn't means Eldars can be trusted.

When she turns around to see her captor, Ash examines her for a bit. Due to her work for Ordo Xenos, she may learn more about Xeno leader from her equipment then the majority of Imperium's servants. When Esther introduces herself, Ash decides against answering her in the Eldar language. She knows it good enough to pass herself as an outcast or a member of different craftworld if she was in Eldar's guise, but right now, feigning ignorance may get her more information about their motives if they won't suspect she understands them and speak more freely amongst themselves.

Ash bows her head respectfully and answers in gothic. "We are. You may call me Ash, this is Alanis." Ash points toward her companion when she mentions her. "I was surprised when we found traces of your work earlier. What brings the Eldar to this planet?"

It's not long before Ash joins them as well, although her presence brings no relief to the situation. If the Eldar really were friendly, then they likely wouldn't go to such extremes to get them to cooperate. Alanis keeps quiet and allows Ash to speak her mind while Alanis keeps an eye out for any openings for escape, as well as trying to feel out if any of the Eldar were suppressing any psychic powers.

"Out of frying pan..." Though Rosette as she ducked back into cover after seeing the traitor marine enter. Going back wasn't an option with the beast still prowling above and staying sandwiched between the two evils wasn't much better. Taking up her bolt she swapped in a fresh clip and peaked around the corner again at the heretic and marine.

Her eyes looked for the platform's wall mountings. If they were weak enough she would try to blast them away and send the catwalk and traitors plummeting to their fate; if they weren't she would spray the heretic and marine as they were clustered together, chanting forth her litanties a she did.

Selena Rolls:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Persuasion 4(Roled) - 2(Untrained) = 2 VS 4, Failure

Rosette Rolls
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Autofire
10,6,11(Rolled) - 2(Range) -2(auto) +2(Aimed) = 8,4,9 VS 4, Two Hits Thorne, One Hit Marine.

To Wound, Thorne
5(Rolled) VS 7 = No Effect
11(Rolled) VS 7 = Shaken + Wound

To Wound, Marine
7(Rolled) VS 18-3(Pen) = No Effect

From the catwalk Rosette had a decent angle of fire but the distance and kick back on boltgun would make things difficult. The emperor smiled on her as almost all of her shots landed home in either the cloaked figure or the marine. The bolt round knocked the cloaked figure onto the ground with a spray of blood but to her surprise he sat up almost immediately causing his hood to fall back and revealing the dark apostle that had started this mess. Thorne the man they had been sent to kill was in the room with her but it seemed his foul magics had made him tougher than the average human if he could shrug off a shot like that. "Kill that bitch! I'm tired of her getting the way!" The marine glanced over his shoulder as the bolt rounds bounced off his armor. He wore a skull like ceramite helm with two huge horns curved forward like a bulls. "Belay that, I want that one alive." He hissed and to Thorne's surprise the nearby hereteks obeyed. The Marine blocked any further shots against Thorne with his bulky armor and started moving the old man towards the platform exit. With a whine Rosette saw automated defenses become active and several multilaser turrets activated around the room, instead of melting her into a pile of molten metal and flesh they began cutting the catwalk apart with precise las fire. Forcing her back the way she had come unless she wanted to dare jumping to a lower catwalk or all the way to the ground hundreds of feet below.

Esthar looked between the two humans and nodded as they introduced themselves. "This world has caught the eye of the great Devouers, we wish to intervene but first this chaos insurrection must be neutralized. Currently we are trying to prevent as much damage to the fotresesses structure as possible. This Thorne who leads the cult has begun placing high explosives in much of the fortresses infastructure unde the guise of laying traps for the imperial forces. What his followers don't know is that he plans on using it on the populace itself as well as the imperials. I suspect it will be the catalyst for whatever dark powers he's calling upon to enter the materium." She explains nodding to the explosives in the back of thier truck. "We intercepted that team a few hours ago as other groups do the same elsewhere. However we cannot gain acsess to the inner fortress which is where you two come in. Ash you are one of the Imperials assassins correct? An overwrite was installed as part of the fortresses construction in case the local humans needed to be removed from power I need you to get my team inside" She said quite plainly making it sound like an order rather than an offer or suggestion.

Selena droped off her equipment in a nearby lounge and approached the guard with her act. He frowned then his eyes dropped down to her cleavage and she got a glimpse of a smile in the corner of his mouth. Walking away with her for a time he suddenly shoved her into a nearby storage room pressing a knife against her back. "Next time you should pay more attention to the personnel, there aren't any women stationed here." He said with a little laugh as she felt him secure her arms with wrist locks. "I suggest you start explaining yourself now or I'll take you to one of the interrogation chambers, I hear they don't leave much left with their victims even if they confess..."

Hopefully the tech priest noticed something was up when she got pulled away. "Okay... I I.... I was just hungry..." Selena said trying to cover up with another lie. "I was just trying to get some food for myself and my family back at the homes. My parents are starving themselves to keep me and my sister fed. If you... if you give us some food I'll do anything please." She said as she hoped to pass by this way all together trying to stall long enough for him to believe her or for her partners to come to the rescue. "I mean it I'd do anything for my family. Just please dont send me down." She said with a whimper looking at him trying to pass herself off as one of the civilians.

Not one step back, thought Rosette as she saw the arch heretic Thorne. Emperor give her strength, she could end this now.

"This is Sister Rosette," She shouted into her comb bead as she backed up, praying it would make it through, "I've spotted the heretic Thorne, he is wounded and fleeing through the sewers near the archive, I am in pursuit."

Mustering all the strength and will she had she sprinted forwards towards the turret and leapt into the void, trusting in the Emperor to lead to the lower catwalk.

Faye kept low as she moved forward, keeping the two heretics in sight and calculating her best chance of attack. They both appeared weak, but were armed and would undoubtedly shoot her should she just charge straight at them. She was confident in her ability to cut them apart, but not to survive incoming fire. Then, something fortuitous happened - the rat they had caught mutated spontaneously! She'd seen it happen once before today with the other heretic she killed, but that was a chaos worshiper, this was just an animal. Still, it had them surprised and, taking her opportunity, she darted forward at the pair, aiming to kill them both quickly with her sawblade. Hopefully the others would panic and flee - or surrender. That was good too.

Giving an Eldar access to the fortress? That's not a good idea, who knows what they plan to do...but there may be one thing to give them second thoughts about any possible betrayal... "Tyranids are already here. Lictors...I don't know Eldar name for them, scouts and infiltrators. And likely genestealers too. But I agree, given this particular strain's tendencies, if they encounters Chaos, She who thirsts would be strenghtened." Ash doesn't know much about Chaos, but knows enough about the Eldar's worst enemy. Using its eldar name may be careless, but it's less insulting then calling it Slaanesh.

"I don't have full inquisitorial clearance, though. The override may not accept my codes."

Alanis listens to the conversation between Ash and the Eldar. It was clear that they had their own goals, and while wanting to stop the Chaos was a good thing, she still didn't think the Eldar could be 100% trusted. "We still need to find one of our other squad mates as well," Alanis spoke up. "Our team was quickly split up from the start, and one of our allies lives was claimed by the warp. We're not sure what happened to our other squad mate, but last I saw her, she was alive, and we were trying to see if we could get back to her before you showed up. I still feel the need to find her, we'd be stronger with an extra hand around."

Rosette Rolls:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Fall Damage 10(rolled) VS 5, Wound

Faye Rolls:
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Attack Rolls 11, 10, +4(Unaware) = 15, 14, Instant kills

Faye creeps up on the surprised troopers and quickly dismembers both of them. Glancing down at where the rat had been she saw it was unlike the chaos taint, in fact the parasite was already growing to the size of rat itself and had a hungry maw of teeth and several small limbs. It leapt towards Faye latching onto her collar and biting down hard enough to make the bone fracture from the pressure. She could see it starting to burrow in her flesh but quickly swept her blade down destroying it. The rest of the flight crew was busy running away rather than staying to fight her not bothering to secure the two Valkyries or the cargo onbord. She saw various las weapons and mounted heavy bolters that could be looted if she was inclined.

Upstairs the guard shoved her into a nearby waiting room and aimed his rifle at her. "Strip down... if you want some food I'll give you some but not until you show me what kind of goods you have under those rags." He said with a lewd grin. He had a rifle aimed at her and the odds of dodging were pretty low if she tried to make a move. It seemed she had no choice but to comply unless she wanted to risk another lie or other trick.

Rosette landed hard on the catwalk and heard a pop from her leg falling down to the ground for a moment. Her suit reported she had almost dislocated her knee and started making pressure adjustments to ensure she could continue walking although painfully. The Hereteks on this level were two busy trying to get the portal under control rather than stop her. She was allowed to follow after Thorne and the marine following a long hallway separated by several large airlocks. Finally she stumbled into a lobby of some kind. She could see five different exits along with a lower floor where the marine was waiting for her at the base of the ramp. Thorne was nowhere in sight. "Submit and I will show you mercy." He said plainly before drawing the sword from his back. It looked like a deamon blade of some kind fashioned from the skeletal remains of some horror of the warp. He pointed at her waiting for her response. The glowing eyes of his armor were locked onto her and she suddenly felt the dread of facing a fallen champion of the Emperor.

The eldar nodded at Ash's response accepting the idea her plan might not work. She tilted her head to Alanis when she spoke and considered "If we find your squadmate and we can help I promise my warriors assistance." She said evidently throwing in with the Imperials for now. "Quickly we have little time, there is an access point nearby." As she returned her helmet and moved down the mountain slopes Alanis couldn't help but note two of the eldar were taking some of the explosives from the truck with them. Moving to an underground entrance a few hundred meters down a rocky path Esthar nodded to the doorway instructing Ash to place her hand on the recognition pad. Before she did however both members of the Kill team received Rosettes message "This is Sister Rosette, I've spotted the heretic Thorne, he is wounded and fleeing through the sewers near the archive, I am in pursuit."

"I alright...." Selena said slowly complying with his demands as she removes her shorts first then her vest showing only her underwear now as she had her arms cover her chest. "There isn't anyone watching right? I just dont want my family to know I did this." Selena said keeping up the act as she was for sure blushing. Selena lifts her bra up to show him what she had and pulled her underwear a bit down to give him a view down there before putting them back on. "Would you mind if I kept my underwear on?"

Ash ignores Eldar's presence for a moment and responds to Rosette's call. "Can you be more specific? This place is vast." At least she's still alive...unless it's some enemy trick...but that may not last, if Thorne is as dangerous as Esther suggested. Having locators would be nice, there's almost no chance they'll find each other in this labyrinth when neither of them knows where they are.

Ash turns towards the Eldar and explains while touching the panel. "Our teammate has found Thorne, he's somewhere in the sewers near the archive."

"There was a circular chamber, deep, heretics using it to create warp portal," Rosette choked out into her as she hobbled down the hallway, "Scarred up by multilasers, heading down long tunnel, multiple airlocks and.... Emperor damnit."

Rosette stopped as she saw the marine waiting for her at the base of ramp, unclipping her helmet to ventilate the sweat that beaded her brow. Running wasn't an option, not with her leg and for a moment she thought of laying down her arms; but she couldn't, the sisters of the Order of our Martyred Lady did not yield or surrender in the face of destruction.

"Foul and foolish traitor," She shouted at marine, "Is your mind so addled with heresy you think I would give myself to you, or track your filth alone? Lay down your arms now and repent before I lay his holy wrath down upon thee."

In the all likely hood her threats would fail, Rosette would immediately draw both bolt pistols and blast away for as long as she could.

With a grunt of pain, Faye cast the remnants of the mutated slug thing to the ground before rolling her shoulder. It hurt for sure, and would be a noticible annoyance for a few days to come, but she didn't concern herself with that far ahead. When she'd sliced it apart, it had probably left a few teeth or something in the wound but this was not the best place to be tending to wounds. Instead, with the fight crews abandoning the area, she slipped into the nearest Valkyrie and made her way to the cockpit. She would need somewhere relatively safe to rest up for the moment, and would need to concentrate in order to clean out her wound with the one hand she had available. It annoyed her that it was on the same side as her wound as she would lack dexterity.

Either way, she now had access to two assault gunships, their assorted weapons... and no idea how to pilot them. Well, at least she could look over the controls and try to figure it out...

On the upper floor of the starport Selena finished striping for the guard who let out a little laugh at her request. "Its just me... now bend over that counter over there and slide those panties aside. If you really want food its going to cost you." He said with a snicker letting his rifle slide to the side as he drew up his pistol shoving her over to the counter whether she complied or not. "Maybe we can work out some kind of a deal if you want to make this a regular thing... I can get you more rations." He said pressing his body against hers from behind.

Faye glanced at the Valkyrie control panel and soon realized she was out of her depth. While she had worked on some common machines this one was far beyond her skill or understanding. The weapons in the back would prove useful however as she found an auto pistol with plenty of ammo. Unfortunately she began to feel a little lightheaded from her wound and saw there wasn't much blood... maybe that little slug like creature had carried a toxin into her system. Either way she heard weapons fire out in the hanger followed by a human scream of pain. Turning she saw two more slugs emerging from one of the corpses of the men she had slain. One had already leapt onto one of the soldiers who had responded to the flight crews yells and was now struggling to pull one creature off while another latched onto his leg.

Outside Ash and Alanis's coms suddenly shorted out without further explanation, there was no further communication from Rosette. Esther nodded hearing Ash's explanation. "Then we have all the more reason to cooperate." She said as the old door slowly opened after years of decay and neglect. The group of Eldar and humans quickly moved through the opening and into the dark maintenance tunnels under the city. They walked for a few minutes before something snapped behind them and the gate came crashing back down into place trapping them. "Our path is set it seems." The Eldar commented turning back to focus on finding Rosette.

With bolters akimbo Rosette blasted away at the servant of chaos as he advanced on her. Her shots sent up sparks from his thick armor and he didn't seemed to be slowed in the least as she backed as far as she could before bumping into the wall. Seeing she had run out of space to maneuver she tried to roll away from him but with a swift motion his blade caught her tossing her back against the wall with crushing force. His blow hadn't cut through her armor but it had knocked the wind from her and rattled her. His strength was inhuman, even more so than an astartes no doubt infused with the taint of chaos. Brief shocks of electricity coursed over her armor and she realized some of her sub systems were down. The pain returned to her leg and her communications no longer worked.

Rosette choked on the pain in her leg as she fought to recover her breath, collapsing to her hands and knees as her mind lolled.

"Pain is good, Rosette" she struggled to remember her Sister Superior words, "It means your alive and can continue to the Emperor's work."

Yes, she was alive, and had to keep fighting... but she couldn't, not this beast, not with these weapons. Escape, she had to escape somehow.

Waiting for the marine to loom up over her, she jabbed the muzzle of her bolt pistol against his foot and fired, pushing off with her good leg to try and roll down the ramp.

Despite her training, Ash is a little worried about her teammate after the sudden static in the vox. It means she's propably in trouble...and she, Alanis and their "allies" still don't know where exactly to find her. At least the override works, even though Ash still has her doubts about letting Eldar in. But it seems Inquisition's servants need any advantage now, and even if Eldar turned against them, the planet would hardly be in a worse situation then it already is.

When gate crashes behind them, one thought flashes through Ash's mind: A trap! It may just be an automatic response...but given the sudden cut in the vox communication and the traitor's work in archive, heretics may have greater control over the hive city's system then they realised. If they have techpriests in their ranks, her small group's presence may already be revealed.

However she doesn't like an idea of leaving the Eldar on their own with Alanis, she turns to the group and announces. "I'll scout ahead, not too far, just to be sure we all won't walk straight into an ambush." Eldar's senses are sharper than hers, but she's got other advatages in the tunnel's darkness. If nobody has any objections, she'll sneak ahead, carefuly checking the corridor for any enemies or traps, taking care to stay close enough to the group to be able to get help if she'll meet more then she could handle alone.

With that done she did as instructed feeling disgusted with him and herself. She could do little else but comply so not to compromise herself to this soldier he still had a pistol so she had to be wary. When he brought up more food she went along with the role she was playing as the starving girl. "If it would give us more food then.... Then yes..." She was nervous bending over for him like this as her panties were pulled down a bit still hanging around her thighs. Being pinned with a gun near her made her all the more tense.
