Returning the hug with excitement, Kiku replies "Althaia! Love ya too gal, and er, well I did get stabbed, but I found a healing potion, and it was all fine an- WAIT! I almost forgot why I was here!" She quickly swings herself behind the mysterious firewalker and pushes him forward. Her head pops over his shoulder and she says "Him! A bunch of mean pricks, like an actual organized gang this time, kinda sorta kicked his ass... a lot. But I saved him! Sorta, not really, but he is free now, but needs help!"
[reply]
The three walk into her room covered in herbs and plants hanging from the ceiling. Standing in the main room, there is a door on each of the four walls. In front is the kitchen, to the left a medical room disused as a cleaning room, to the right is a living room which also contains the locked door to Althaia's room. Kiku has never been in that room, and has been too polite to ask. By polite, I mean scared because when someone tried breaking in there once he went insane at what he saw. Probably a spell protected room, it's secured for a reason so Kiku doesn't try think much of it, but curiosity remains.

Kiku examines the ceiling a bit then says with disdain "Aw! you got rid of the mint leaves didn't you~"

"Thanks for the cash.."
Rayn grinned, tossing the coin purse about a foot into the air and catching it in one deft motion, pocketing it. She felt somewhat bad about pinching the guy's cash off him after beating him, but hey, she had saved his life too. Well, she did cause those mortal injuries in the first place but...that first aid had to count for something, right?
Sighing at her rather counteractive action, Rayn bent down and picked up her canteen, shaking it to find out what little water it could have left. Not a single slosh. Better get back to her hideout or at least some place where she could refill this. A Water Walker without a source of water was more or less a fish on dry land, excluding the fact that she could still breathe.
Rayn cast a glance back to the alley and thought of the remaining Earth Walkers. That thing about breathing could all change really quickly, though..

"Hm? What's that?"
The vigilante muttered, looking off to her right as she heard some various sounds. Some very obviously male voices yelling..which was always trouble. Better go have a lo-
"Ugh..not now.."
Rayn nearly staggered sideways as the Elemental Sickness hit her like a brick to the face, headaches already setting in. It was hard to just even keep her eyes open. She needed some rest and water, pronto. But those people needed help..damn it, the sickness could wait. Maybe she would get lucky and find some water over there..
The girl stubbornly pulled herself straight and continued on quickly towards the source of commotion.
Sleep unbeknownst to I, this one lives in perpetual need of coffee..

Shelby smiles upon hearing Dax's decision. "Thank you, Dax. I wish more people in this city were as willing to help as you." It's understandable how the gangs make it hard to help in this city without feeling exploited, but if the law-abiding people stuck with each other a bit more, perhaps those syndicates never would have gained their ground in the first place. It's refreshing for her to meet a true good Samaritan, after all the self-centered folk she's come across. "Well, it's about 5:30 right now, so we have about 2 and a half hours of free time. Personally, I'm a bit hungry, so-"

Shelby is interrupted by the sound of footsteps outside...a lot of them, for that matter. Judging by how they sound like an organized soldier unit marching, she doubts it's the gangs...but what would the town guards want with her and/or Dax? Then again, she can't really be sure unless she sees for herself. With that in mind, she moves up to the window, checking to see who exactly is outside. She also gives her acquaintance a word of caution: "Dax, I suggest you stand back...just in case." While she has no intentions of getting rough with law-enforcement, Shelby's ready to defend herself if the Earth Walker gang's here for payback...

Sentari's certainly not going to fall for such a simple ruse. Instead of striking at the leader as he expects, she stays back planning a decisive strike. All of the firewalkers around Blaire mistakenly think the firey girl is their only opponenet, but Sentari is always watching her back. Water should be pooling all over the place in her wrecked brothel, hopefully there's enough water behind Blaire's assailants to make an attack. She summons her powers to try and create three large spikes of ice to impail the simple minions. Meanwhile Blaire thrashes wildly, not at all pleased at being kicked. She slashes wildly at her enemies' ankles with her claws.

Claire pushes the two men away. "Please sirs. I'd like to get some rest now. And if you truly would want to help me, then you wouldn't let any of those people take advantage of me. I don't want to break any more laws." she says. She moves the men's arms off her shoulders. She stands up and walks over to the other side of the cell, and sits against it.

It is a shame, but I am sympathetic nonetheless. Adele reassured herself of the gang members' fates. It was hard to imagine any criminal taking pride in their work. Would a man truly opt for a life of crime over an honest living, unless his hand was forced? Adele did not think so, but it stood to reason that she could not correct their plight. Should they throw themselves at her, she would cut them down and move on, knowing it was necessary.

Of the club, she wondered how many similar establishments could be found in this city. While Agroma's men had likely silenced this one, she wondered how long it was until they settled in another breeding ground for vice and liquor. Luxury seemed to be the beating heart of this city for those who could afford it and hence Adele imagined there were dozens of lounges like this, decorated to cater to the fancy of criminal organizations.

She looked to Agroma.

A royal summons... I am glad my mission here has not been dissolved. she thought, relief washing through her. It would have been a grisly fate to tangle herself in the spider web of gangland antics, so she was pleased she could move on with her task as an envoy of Kveyni.

"That was my original destination, before I was pulled aside by these criminals." she remarked with a nod, "I should not tarry. I will make for the Palace now, if it please you." she proposed. Her water blade hissed as it evaporated into nothingness. Adele stowed the hilt away, concealing it with her coat.

Dax smiles as she seemed to cheer up as he said he would help her. Of course he would after all he was taught as a child that he was to be nice and helpful to all women and she had been so exceptional to him he couldn't help but help her out too! Especially to meet her brother as he seemed like a shining example for men everywhere including himself to follow. He replied to her compliment,"Well Miss Shelby I agree. We need to fix that for sure I think! If your brother is there he would make a shining example to us all judging by how you talk of him." He was about to agree to her thought of food when he heard the footsteps too and followed her instructions stepping back and preparing to fight if he needed to and said quietly,"I can help you run defense if you need help. The world is my shield as long as I'm on the earth."

Hermes smile deepens as her slash finds her mark, a bit shallower than she would've liked, but still a hit nonetheless. The smile doesn't falter when she gets cut, being cut up being an normal as breathing is to her, but she does up the air pressure around her slightly to keep blood from spilling out. She decreases the air pressure around the guard she cut to increase the blood flowing out of him and making him bleed out faster and leaves him to deal with that while she goes to the next guard.

'Straight line drives are so easy to deal with...' she thinks to herself, dodging to the right and aiming a slash at his carotid artery since he left it wide open for her.

Kiku: (Back Alley District, Althaia's Apartment)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The Fire Walker stumbles forwards, awkwardly standing there while you explain his situation. Once you are done, Althaia looks him over. "Are you kidding? I can fix this in my sleep! Come on in, kid. Lemme fix you up." She grabs both of yours hands, and pulls you into her apartment.

She leaves you in the main room, taking her patient into the medical room. She grabs several bottles and pouches along the way, examining their contents with an approving nod. From the medical room, you hear her call out to you. "Yea, sorry kiddo. Had to get rid of the mint. Had some clients who don't like mint. Cash is tight nowadays, so I couldn't pass them up over some silly mint..." You hear running water, and some wincing, presumably from the Fire Walker. "Oh sush you, it isn't so bad! Hell, most of the scars will heal! You're lucky my friend Kiku here brought you to me so quickly." A few minutes later, Althaia comes out, wringing out her hands. "He'll be fine. Minor cuts, really. Most of the scars will fade too. What happened to him, Kiku?" Althaia leans against the kitchen counter, absent mindedly nibbling on some dried fruit she found on the counter.

Rayn: (Back Alley District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Fighting the Elemental Sickness, you decide to investigate the sounds. Rounding the corner, you find the Earth Walkers who had been chasing you earlier! It seems the tables have turned, however, as they are currently being beaten down by a group of heavy armor clad knights. They wear white plate armor with gold inlay, and a golden rising sun emblem on their chests. They use clubs made of pure white light, showing that they are White Walkers. Observing the beat down is another white clad knight, but this one looks larger and in charge.

Image

"Criminal scum, the lot of you! It is because of filth like you that I exist!" The leader booms. The Earth Walkers stop blocking the blows or trying to fight back, having either passed out or given up. "Work them over for a few more minutes, then take them to the gallows. I want to make an example of them." The others continue to beat the helpless Walkers, while their leader looks on. Looking up, he notices you, but decides not to say anything.

Do you approach the group, or leave them alone?

Shelby, Dax: (Back Alley District, Old Diner)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You move to the window, trying to get a look at whoever is making all that noise. Down the street, you see a platoon of men, all wearing matching white and gold plate mail, marching in formation. Leading them is this man:

Image

On his right shoulder he wears a pendant with a golden rising sun, just like the symbol adorning the chests of the men behind him. You can tell that the leader is yelling, but can't quite make out what he is saying due to the heavy glass window. You could investigate, or remain inside and wait for the group to pass...

Sentari: (Back Alley District, your brothel)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You create three ice spikes, and launch them at the Fire Walker minions. Two of them see the spikes coming, and quickly melt them with jets of flame from their hands. The third is not so aware, and is impaled in the chest. The spike comes out of his sternum with a sickening shluk as the blood drains from his face. He falls to the ground, blood pooling around his body. He comrades stare at the body for a while, as if not believing what just happened. They quickly snap out of it, and with new zeal, light their whole bodies on fire, much like Blaire. Now encased in flames, they grab Blaire's shoulders and yank her up.

Mean while, the leader takes advantage of you helping Blaire, and charges you again. This time, instead of a punch, he opts for a kick to the gut, "This is Sparta" style. You way backwards, having the wind kicked out of you. The Fire Walker follow you down, cocking his right arm, hoping to smash your face in.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Sentari: On her back. Wind knocked out of her.
Blaire: Still on fire. Restrained by the Fire Walker Minions.

Fire Walker Leader: Stabbed in abdomen. Arms are on fire. Attempting to punch Sentari.

Fire Walker Minion: On fire. Deceased.
Fire Walker Minion: Ice spike through the chest. Deceased.
Fire Walker Minion: On fire. Restraining Blaire.
Fire Walker Minion: On fire. Restraining Blaire.

Jormag: (Housing District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Now away from the Fire Walkers, you take a moment to look at your surroundings. The biggest difference is the lack of people. While the Market District was full of shops, people and sounds, this District seems dead, quite and deserted. Instead of stores, it's full of apartments and tall buildings, all numbered and run down. Several windows are either broken or boarded up, and the place is just filthy in general. You have entered the Housing District.

Claire: (Heart District, Prison Cell)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The twins shrug their shoulders at the same time, both giving an identical "We tried" face. "If you say so, my dear." "Just don't blame us for when things go down hill." As you sit down, you take your eyes off of the pair for a second. When you look back, they're nowhere to be seen.

Now alone in the jail cell, you hear something stir on the far side of the cell. After some stretching and yawning, a burly and heavily tattooed man stands up, apparently having just woken up. "Wha- What the hell is... Oh." Noticing you, an evil grins breaks on the man's face. He lumbers his way over to you, crouching down to look you in the eye. "Well, well, well, look what the guards brought me." The man pushes your chins up, looking your face over. Eventually, his eyes wander to your exposed chest. "Lookie here, already open for me! Ain't that sweet of them? Listen here, lady. I don't care what your in for, but it's been a long time since I had a girl in my cell. It's time to get to work, whether you like it or not." Maybe taking the twin's offer wasn't such a bad idea after all...

Adele: (Market District, Fire Walker Club)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Jason gave you an approving nod, crossing his arms. "I shall escort you to the Palace, Lady Kveyna. We were suppose to meet you as soon as you arrived in the city, but we got side tracked by a civil disturbance. A brothel had caught on fire in the Back Alley District. Nevertheless, we are here now. Please, follow me." You notice Jason's tone becoming more monotone on the last part, as if bored by escorting you. He turns to leave the club, making his way back down the steps. Three of his men automatically flank you, one on each side and another behind you. They wait for you to move before proceeding, ensuring they do not lose you.

Hermes: (Heart District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As guard #1 charges forwards (as he shall be known as from now on), you easily side step his charge. As you slash at his neck, a sheet of white energy forms between you two, blocking your blade. Looking over, guard #2 has one hand raised, indicating that he had made the shield.

Guard #1 whirls around, raising his shield in a defensive stance. He inches his way towards you, spear raised over his shield to stab downwards at you. Guard #2 dissipates his spear, but makes a much smaller version of it, a weapon you can only assume to be a javelin. He raises it above his head, aimed at you, confirming it to be a javelin.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Hermes: Cut across the stomach.

Asylum Guard: Gash across the back of his neck. Aiming a javelin.
Asylum Guard: Shield raised. Making his way to Hermes.

Seeing the men outside, Shelby can immediately tell that they're no gang men. Quite on the contrary, they seem like a squad of high-ranking guards, especially given the rising sun emblem adorning their armor. Though, what the leader's yelling about remains to be seen. She knows better than to meddle in law-enforcement affairs, and has no intention of starting trouble with them...

...but her curiosity ultimately convinces her to slowly, quietly open the door, and covertly listen in on whatever's happening. Before even touching the door at all, though, she says to Dax: "If you're preparing any Walker power, I'd suggest you stop for now. It's better not to imply hostile intent here..."

Claire's eyes widen. "Huh? What work sir?" she asks. She looks down at her chest and blushes. She does her best to cover her breasts and then she looks over at the direction, of where the guards should be. "Um. Sirs. Can you please ask this man to leave me alone. He's making me feel uncomfortable." Claire says. She then looks over at the man in front of her and gives an awkward laugh. "Please leave me alone sir. I just want to sleep." she says.

Dozing off into space, getting a bit lost in thought, dwelling on things, stuff she normally does, when suddenly, the healer walks back out and says something.
"What? Oh, yeah. I was walking down a few alleyways looking for trouble... too uh, stop... and I see this large group of water gang walkers, and a fire walker yelling in pain!" She says over exaggerating hand gestures. "So after one of them shooed me away, I was all like "Hell Naw!" so I jumped up a roof, threw rocks, ran off. Then the freaking national guard shows up and decides to ruin all the fun, I mean I had it under control you know? Soooo anyways, they kill a few of them, the rest give up, and I find this guy bleeding in another alleyway just off the street where all this happened. I told him to calm his shit, and then we walked over here." And with that, she takes a big breath "Yeah!"

Jormag goes to the closest door and knocks on it. He hopes the people inside respond and answer some questions to help ease his confusion. He looks at the number on the door and at the house itself looking for anything suspiscious on the outside. "Well...whatever happened here must've been chaotic..." Razajin smiles as the lady starts cooperating with him and a trio of footsteps approach. "You do know that after this I am going to kill you rather slowly, right?" He tells her this dismissively, as if he had already decided on killing her a while ago, which he did.. Razajin reverses his grip on the dagger so it was pointing the other way towards his contract. As James Veega puts his hand on him, he slowly places his other hand on his recently sharpened axe getting ready to unleash hell. Razajin can't help but chuckle at how easy Veega made it to find him and even get close to him. "Mr. Veega, I appreciate that you made it very easy for me to find you. Without the many resources I used to have I might have spent hours trying to find you in this marketplace. I'm just glad I found this good friend of yours. Let me thank you for making this a whole lot easier!" Razajin says the last part with a dangerous edge in his voice. He swings his dagger back towards the hand, to impale it right below the wrist and slice the tendons. At the same time he unsheathes his axe and spins around aiming at where the midsection of the person would be.

Adele nodded firmly in acknowledgement. At first, she had thought her journey to this city would have been derailed permanently, but looking at it now, she reasoned that it was best not to let her pessimism get ahead of her. Frighteningly enough, though, Agroma's intervention could be considered a stroke of luck -- a miracle, even -- rather than a logical calculation. Had his men not interrupted Krenko, she would have been in a deeply troubling situation.

It is discomforting to feel so... disabled. she thought a little sourly as she began to walk on at a traveler's pace. Adele was not timid, nor did she ever resign herself to others. Had Agroma not showed, she would have endured the necessary sacrifices in order to escape, but it only bothered her how little there was she could have done to account for situations such as those. It was fortune, not just her own actions, that had determined the course of events.

Knowing it was best not to brood, she walked on for the palace. The Queen would be waiting for her.

Shelby, Dax: (Old Diner, Back Alley District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Shebly cracks the door open, just enough so the sounds from outside come pouring in. The footsteps become louder, and you can clearly hear the Leader shout, along with his platoon's response.

"... cannot stop me any more than you can stop the sun!" "We are the law!" "I am the sole pillar holding this city up from the ashes!" "We are the law!" "To oppose me is to oppose the law!" "We are the law!" "I, Jason Agroma, Paragon of Riviana, am the law!" "We are the law!" They march past your hiding stop, ignoring you completley. They continue down the street, still shouting. Well, that was interesting, wasn't it?

Claire: (Heart District, Prison Cell)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Without turning around, the guard sticks his hand into the cell. The man inside pulls a bag of gold coins out of his pocket, and casually tosses them into the guards waiting hand. Taking his hand out, the guard casually tosses back "Keep quiet in there, Miss." The prisoner cackles, while rubbing his crotch. "Yea, try to keep quiet while sucking me off, alright?"

Jumping onto you, your cell mate violently gropes your exposed breasts with both hands. He shoves his tongue down your throat, messily swirling it around your mouth. He laughs while kissing you before breaking the kiss. "You taste good, slut. Time to see what's going on down there!" Smashing his lips against yours again, his right hand moves to your nether region, harshly rubbing your lower lips. His two fingers tease your opening, occasionally slipping inside half an inch.

Kiku: (Althaia's Apartment, Back Alley District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Althaia listens intently to your story, putting her half eaten whatever back down. When you finish, she nods her head aggressively. "Good idea, bringing him here. And good job too, on saving him. Good thing you did, too," You notice Althaia blush a little. "'Cause it'd be a shame to let that face get all cut up..." Just then, you hear some rustling from the med room. The door swings open, and the Walker is rubbing his face with a black towel. He puts the towel down, and for the first time, you get to see his face.

Image

Althaia giggles happily. "See? What I tell ya? No scars at all. Am I the best, or what?" She gives you a sly grin, resting her arm on the Fire Walker's shoulder. He stands there awkwardly, you can tell he's unsure of what to do next.

Jormag: (Housing District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You knock on the door, but hear nothing from inside. You're not even sure if anyone is home. Looking at the number, you can't make out the last digit because it fell/broke off. From what you can tell, this is house number 54786-ish.

You take a look at the house. 'Run down' would be a good way to describe it. The windows have been boarded up, and the mortar holding the bricks together has begun to wear away. Vines and ivy have started to creep up the walls, and the paint of the brick is so faded you can't tell if it was suppose to be white or yellow. A good layer of dirt also covers most off the house, and the shingles are either falling off or non existent.

Reaver: (Market District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The woman rolls her eyes at you, again.

You twist around to lash out at Veega, dagger first. Once turned around, you get a good look at Veega for the first time.

Image

...If first impressions say anything, you'd guess that Veega is big. He stands a few inches taller than you, and his muscles are massive. He's also wearing leather armor that barely fits over his body. You weren't expecting someone so large, so your swipes are a little off. It doesn't matter really, because before you can hit Veega, his fist hits your face. You go flying backwards, landing on your back a few feet away from where you were standing. Veega and his men wait there, looking you over.

"Nice try, pal. Look, I don't want any trouble, alright? Leave now, while you still got legs to walk with." Veega crosses his arms, waiting for you to respond. You can tell that this kill won't be easy... Do you continue?

Adele: (Market District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

You follow Jason through the Districts. Everywhere you go, you notice people moving out of Jason's way, even more so than they did for the Fire Walkers. It creates a three foot bubble of space around you at all times, save for your escorts. People keep casting glances and whispering as you pass, sometimes pointing you out to others.

Your trip is a silent one, as Jason never even looks over to see if you are still following. Eventually, you pass over some sort of invisible barrier, as your scenery changes drastically. Before, the building were dirty, run down and generally poor-looking. But suddenly, the buildings are clean, white washed and well kept. The roofs are all painted gold, and there are less people. The people here are dressed in regal robes or dresses, and you notice a few guard patrols milling about. Hell, the air even smells cleaner here. You have entered the Heart District.

Eventually, you come to a grand building, one you assume to be the Palace, as Jason walks right up the steps.

Image

He opens the massive wooden door and waits for you to enter first. As you go up the steps, the three guards following you stop at the foot of the stairs.

Sentari: (Back Alley District, your Brothel)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Your stab misses a little, stabbing the Walker in the cheek instead of the eye. He wails in pain, yanking the dagger out. It melts and evaporates before he can even look back at you. Pointing both hands at you, he charges up to fire bolts. "Time to end this..." He seethes, blood pouring down his cheek. But before you can react, a massive crack of lighting zips past your face and strikes the leader's chest. He flies backwards, hitting the far wall and sliding down. His chest is smoking, and his armor has been burnt to a crisp.

Blaire manages to shake off her attackers, but before she can strike them, their leader dies. Looking at each other, they both decide to flee, running for the front door. You could easily stop them with the water on the ground, or you could let them go.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Sentari: Healthy.
Blaire: Still on fire.

Fire Walker Leader: Deceased.
Fire Walker Minion: On fire. Deceased.
Fire Walker Minion: Ice spike through the chest. Deceased.
Fire Walker Minion: Running out the front door.
Fire Walker Minion: Running out the front door.

Ellen, Azreal: (Market District)
Spoiler (click to show/hide):

A new city, a new beginning. The two of you had entered the city from it's Southern entrance, but as far as you could tell, it was the city's only entrance. The massive crowd surging to try and get in was overwhelming, a mass of angry people, shoving to get in. Thankfully you two had waited your turn patiently, and got in without any problems. Sure, you had to wait for a good 7 hours, but it was probably worth it... Right?

Once inside, the scene outside could almost be considered calm. You had arrived at the Market District, and at it's peak hours. People were constantly moving, shouting, buying, selling, and generally being a large disorganized mess. Standing on the outside, you could see some form of order, having taken a long enough look. It was a giant square, with stands in the middle, and buildings making up the square's sides. Another thing you noticed, throughout the market were several figures, all wearing matching red robes. Some traveled alone, others in pairs or groups. None of them stopped to shop, or to even look. You even noticed three of these red figures, leaning against a wall to your right, watching you two...

In the middle of the square, a crowd had formed around a raised platform. On the platform is some man in white and gold armor, and kneeling beside him is some other fellow... You can't see too well from this distance, or hear what's being said over the roar of the market.

Claire groans as she is pounced on. "Sir! Please stop!" she shouts as the kiss is broken. She moans quietly as her pussy is rubbed. Claire does her best to push the man away. "Sir please don't! I'm still a virgin" she says. She tries to cover up her crotch and her breasts. "Sir please stop."

Without getting a response Jormag bashes in the door. "Sorry if there's anyone in here! But nobody responded so in I come!"
He walks around the interior of the run down building. He puts his fists up in a fighting stance in case anyone is still living inside the house. "Hope the damned cieling doesn't collapse" he says silently to himself as he moves past some ivy that has begun to grow inside the building.

If jormag does not find anyone living here this will be his temporary shelter. If jormag does find that someone is living here then he's going to run the hell out. (Posting this so I can get to respond to more stuff later on :D)
