Ruins of Lemias
The vicious looking bandit gives the ninja girl a bigger smile when she comments on how he's gotten everything backwards. He then tells her, with a laugh, "My my, sorry 'bout that, I thought you were one o' them adventurers, not a whore. If you're looking for customers..." His eyes run over her athletic body with obvious lust, "I'd throw you a few silver. 3 actually. You leave your weapons over there, then when I'm finished, you head on out of here. So which will it be, do you wanna earn some cash, or do you really wanna try to cut off my hands?"
(OOC : If you still want to fight, he'll be coming in to attack you and I'll roll those combat checks. Just wanted to make sure you got one last chance because you didn't indicate how you wanted to proceed here.)
Streets of Border Town, then the Dark Woods
The random balloon assault from Icarus definitely isn't ignored. A few older men try to ignore it, but still end up uttering under their breath, "Bloody adventurers, always trouble." The women mostly just kind of panic at first, then giggle afterwords. Dax's gifting of the balloons to children gets a round of thank yous from the kids, who were thrilled to see the display of magic.
The unicorn and the stilt-mobile make some decent time when you get out of town, finding their way to the border of the Dark Woods by mid afternoon. You pass by the farms where the Quest Board mentioned the abductions of womenfolk were taking place by the Night Stalker, and as you approach the trees, you rapidly realize that the stilt-mobile is going to run into a problem. The unicorn is nimble enough it can still walk amongst the trees, admittedly at a much slower pace or it risks breaking an ankle. The stilts on the other hand will be right up in the branches and getting in Dax and Sierra's way.
Inn of the Enchanted Centaur
The guardsmen look over to Sasuka when she approaches the conversation, checking quickly to see if she's hostile, then checking quickly just how great that ninja outfit fits her curves, then turning their attention back to Daeris when the ninja girl just fades back. They nod to Daeris and tell the elf swordswoman, "Keep it in mind then, we hope someone will have a breakthrough." They turn to head for the front door.
Mar, at her table, finds herself soon joined by a man dressed in farmer's clothes, rather clean considering his trade and with a neat head of hazel brown hair. He offers the warlock a friendly smile while he says, "Hey there, I was hoping you might be interested in company. You... uh... you look pretty interesting... thought I might want to get to know you better. I'm Olwen."
When Chloe makes her way over to the bard's playing spot, he fixes the charming dancer with a friendly smile and he tells her, "Actually I did, and she was chatting with this rather down on his luck fellow... are you thinking of breaking the hearts of half the men in the room? Looks like just another adventurer to me but I haven't spoken with him yet."
The dwarven table gets a fresh round of drinks delivered to them and once they are all passed around, one of the dwarves stands up and holds his mug aloft. "Aye lads, I give this a toast to the pristine veins of Tober's Mine. Though our halls be overrun, the damned orc bastards that took it can't mine worth shit, it'll be waiting for us when we return." The rest of the dwarves raise their mugs to the hybrid speech and prayer, then take a deep gulp in unison. It's a strangely honourable sight, having the feel of them as soldiers standing at attention giving a salute to their flag.
Clare, is getting her things together and is just about to head downstairs. Last night, she just arrived in Border Town after a day of long travelling. While she attracted her fair share of attention in the tavern, everything went uneventfully. This morning though, as she's getting ready to head out, the door to her inn room opens up and in strolls a rugged looking man with short black hair wearing a suit of well used leather armour, nicked from battles and dusty with the road, and a sword at his belt. He shuts the door behind him and gives a grin over at the swordswoman. "Hello hello, didn't get a chance to introduce myself last night... thought maybe I'd better drop by and say hello to you now. I'm not ready for you to just run off yet."
