As Jason persistently tries to mend ties with the team, Zandile progressively gets more and more annoyed with the situation. When he hears the words "No harm came of it, right?" he decides enough is enough, and speaks in a voice loud enough for the cocky runt to hear: "It's not about the harm done, it's about respect. You may have seen it as being 'casual,' but in front of the Marshall, it's just showing that you're not serious about the upcoming battles. And believe me, not being serious out there is going to get you killed." With a short huff of irritation, Zandile puts on his music player's ear-phones, and cues up another tune to try and take his mind off of it.

==TIME ADVANCEMENT==

With everyone getting into the rythm of mech maintenance, mucis, or just plain arguments, time slips by faster than would have been expected. It is soon well into the hours of darkness, and you estimate that you only have around 4 hours before you need to be prepared for insertion into the battlefield.

Garian looked at his watch and stood up from his bed, going into the Mech Hangar to prepare his Atlas to be at the exact spot he was told to be in, making sure to bring a rifle and handgun in case he had to eject.

Jason looks at Zandile. "Wasn't disrespect, you know. Why, I don't know all you's is so uptight anyways. We're all mercs, we ain't no soldiers. Just because we're here, doesn't mean we need to act like them." He turns his attention back to Viper. "Sorry you have to feel that way, but you'll see. Once we're on that battlefield, you'll change your tune." He finishes with a quick at Viper, before crawling back into his mech and shutting his eyes. He have to cut his nap time short, if he wanted to be up in time to drop...

The hangar doors open up revealing a Dark green camouflaged Locust mech armed with dual ER "Small" lasers for arms and an ER medium laser poking out from under the cockpit. It's agile form quickly moves into a nearby maintenance bay. The armor looks like it was just in a small forest skirmish with small laser burns and assorted plant matter. A few engineers head over and assess the slightly damaged mech while the pilot shuts it down for the time being and quickly pops open the cockpit, hops down the various supports (with a speed and agility that technically isn't the "safe" way down) before sliding down a leg armor segment hoping to the floor. He gives a nod to the chief and remarks "take care of my baby, she and I got in a little tussle with another scout. I just kept it busy while the mediums got there but the bastard got a lucky shot off at the left window panel." With that he began casually walking toward the hallway door on his way to turn in his reports, not showing much rush despite the sense of urgency around him.

Zandile is awake about an hour in advance of the others, as he's quite an early riser. Having passed the time between his music player and some small tune-ups on little bits of the Styx, he hops in the cockpit, running diagnostics on everything while he checks his pedestrian equipment: his twin pistols "Trust" and "Betrayal," four med-kits, and just in case anyone tried a fast one on him, his C-Bills. His Full-Head Ejection system will provide more cover for him than some other pilots may have, but getting to safety would still be hard without a proper weapon.

Talin continues on through the facility and turns in his reports without incident, after getting his new assignment, he heads to the cafiteria for a quick snack and heads back to the hangar to check on his mech and read his next assignment (round trip taking about 30 minutes). As he walks, he gives the assignment a glance noting that he has been assigned to a "special ops" branch for a combat mission holding a weak point against clan forces. He remembers hearing of one of these "Spec ops" pilots before. Never met her in person but from what he heard, "knight Viper" meant business. "Looks like the brass is getting desperate if their hiring Mercs." he said to himself with a slight chuckle. "about fuckin time..." The hallway door to the hanger opened and Talin looked around looking for the mech on the file and hoping he could put a face to the pilot's name.

Garian is smiling as he takes his Mech out of the Hangar and heads towards the Designated spot on the map that he was told to be in, as he walked there he made last minute checks to make sure his weapons were in the best configuration possible for what may be a possible fight for him.

Talin wanders over to the warhammer heavy that is suppose to belong to Viper. "well she's got an eye for the classics" Though the weapons themselves where optimized for modern combat, the mech appeared to stay true to the WHM-6R variant first constructed in 2515. He looked around the hangar but couldn't find the person who owned the mech so he just decided to surf the net in his comfy cockpit chair. As he walked up to his mech, he noticed the engineers where just finishing and had taken the liberty of painting the camouflage pattern on the new armor panel so that it matched the rest of the mech. He thanked the engineers and tipped them enough for them to all have round at the bar later. He climbed up to the cockpit and settled in, turning on the central screen and linking up to the local network to see if anyone on this base had a copy of "Freespace 10" and was willing to play an online match with him. (basically he messes around on the computer until command gives him the order to move out to the battle field.)

After a few hours of rest and relaxation, an alarm blares aout across the base, followed by the voice of the Precentor Marshall. "Attention all maechwarriors. The time has come. You all have your assignments. Procede to your checkpoints for mission drop"

Jason wakes up inside his mech, giving a particularlarily loud yawn and a very large, cat-like stretch. "Jeezey creezey, does that alarm have to be this loud? Ugh." Jason ever so slowly gets into his mech properly, running an incredibly quick systems check.
