Magz, Harper, Meredith
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As Meredith ignored Magz to talk to Emma, Harper arrived to her the rest of their conversation. Once Meredith was finished, the paladin gave the priestess a stern look. “I’m going to have Morgaine or one of her students start working on tracking down Evaline’s location. I doubt they’ll stay in Tan Village for longer then they have to.” Emma said “ I understand your concern, but can’t risk confronting the Black Ocean. Especially in the state we’re in”. As she spoke, the three women could practically hear the frustration in Emma’s voice. Her left hand gripping on her damaged sword arm tightly.
“Everything is already in place for Emilia’s extraction. It’s a safer task and with the additional support we can mount a proper rescue.” Emma then paused. “But I know how much Evaline means to you, to all the priestesses. I’ll let you accompany the reconnaissance team to find Evaline. But only attempt a rescue if you see an opening.” Just as they finished their conversation, Morgaine entered the conversation. “If you’re looking for tracking, you’ll want to take Suima with you” the master adventure said as she directed Meredith to a girl in the corner looking after a crossbow. “If anyone can find her it’s Suima.” Morgaine said with a somewhat awkward look to Meredith. “And I’m sorry for being so blunt before. I’m sure we’ll be able to rescue Evaline.”
Once Morgaine was finished apologizing, Meredith’s attention was turned not to Suima, but the soldier that had accompanied her here. He had gotten swept up in the aftermath of the monastery invasion and had begun to help with the wounded. There was still the situation he mentioned at Fort Claymoor. But on the off chance that he might be willing to help with Evaline’s rescue, it was worth asking.
With their conversation finished, Emma turned her attention to Magz. “I had hoped Meredith could have provided her experience to your mission. But you’ll have to make due with what we have. As I said before, there are those on the inside that have been planning this extraction for some time. They just needed us to act as escorts.” She said handing Magz the scroll with the church’s crest. Once you’re ready, travel to Crystalcairn to meet with Bishop Teresa. She will explain the mission in further detail.”
With Meredith now on her own mission, Magz had to look to someone else to fill her spot. Along with the other girls, Justine was an option too. She was the priestess who had been strangled by Guo before she arrived. While she seemed easily rattled, Magz couldn’t deny her talent for healing. Plus she was about as angry about the attack as anyone.
There was one other person Magz could turn to … Annabelle. After training sessions and mock battles, the paladins would often get treated for injuries by the priestesses. One in particular had taken a shine to Magz. Annabelle was about a year older than Magz and would always insist on treating her. She would examine the paladin’s body thoroughly for the smallest scratch. Even when Magz wasn’t in the infirmary, Annabelle would continue to keep an eye on her from a distance. Right now, she was tending to one of the other paladins. But if Magz asked, the priestess would surely come running.
That finally left Harper. The scholar couldn’t tell if Emma was trying to actively ignore her or she just so happened to address her last. But with Emma’s full attention on her, Harper felt as though a large weight was pressing down on her. The paladin was naturally intimidating, and it appeared as though her patience was running thin. “ I don’t have time to humor you, go bother….” Before she could finish, Emma spied Heidi sitting up despite being injured. Even from a distance, the experienced scholar gave Emma a stern look and nodded towards Harper. Wincing, Emma returned her attention to Harper. “Are you looking to assist us Pale-s...Harper? I’m sure Meredith or Magdalene could use the assistance.” Directing the scholar’s attention to Meredith and Magz

Priscilla
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
As Priscilla points her blade towards the two mercenaries, Miller appears to stand perfectly still. Then she hears the butt of his spear tap the ground. With a swift kick from Miller it appears to swing around his body before he grips it. He taps away Priscilla's weapon just long for him to put some distance between the two of them. "You were never gonna make things easy were you?" he said as he took a low stance. By that time everyone else had drawn their weapons and a battle was about to begin.
Priscilla stuck an intimidating pose hoping the cause the two mercenaries to back down. While one did, Miller merely grinned. Taking a low stance, he rushed forward like an arrow out of a ballista. His target, the elderly knight Ironblood. The tip of Miller’s spear made contact with Ironblood’s breast plate as it knocked the wind out of the old man. Frightened by Priscilla’s presence, the other mercenary set his sights on the injured Ironblood as he left a deep cut along his upper thigh.
“Is that all you got old ma…” Miller gloated. But just as he was about to finish, the squire bashed the broad end of his sword into Miller’s side. “The Hell!” He yelled stunned for a bit. Trying to capitalize, Ironblood moved in to swipe at the spear-wielding mercenary, but he nearly evaded. But neither of them could evade Priscilla as she attempted to cleave them with her own blade. Miller and the mercenary winched as the blade cut through their armor, leaving a noticeable gash. Though she couldn’t enjoy her successful attack as she heard Ironblood let out a gasp. Turning, the squire and Priscilla watch as the ruthless mercenary pulls his dagger from the commander’s back.
“NOOO!” The squire yells as his teacher and captain falls to the ground. Raising his mace he charges at the vagabond. But Priscilla has little time to pay attention to them as Miller charges right at her. The tip of the spear aimed right at her heart. Quickly, she blocks the attack only for it to redirect itself to Priscilla’s Leg. Luckily she manages to step back and avoid the attack. With a swig of the crude potion, which tastes as bad as it sounds, Priscilla prepares for another cleave. While the mercenary evades the large swing, Miller doesn’t as it just catches his outer thigh.
Hobbled, Miller’s breathing becomes erratic as he stares down. Soon a strange glow surrounds the sellsword as he rises from the ground. “I rather not use this, But Gustuv would have my head if I let his newest piece of arm candy get away” Miller said with a much more serious tone. As the Squire dispatched the other mercenary, he was assaulted but Miller, as he used the same attack he used against Priscilla. “Evade it!” Priscilla yells upon seeing the attack again. Effortlessly, the squire sidesteps the attack and attempts to counter only for his attack to go wide.
With his new found strength, Miller lands a pair of devastating blow on Priscilla and the Squire. He manages to pierce Priscilla’s side while tripping up the squire with the length of his lance. But doing so leaves and opening with Priscilla manages to capitalize on. Bringing her sword down, she leaves a large gash on Miller’s back and knocks the man out cold.
Before she can land the finishing blow, she can hear a commotion outside the interrogation room. “We have the get going” The squire said as he picked up the wounded Ironblood. Once they were outside, They could see that the brawl was still going on strong. It seemed like almost everyone was involved in the fight. Which meant that the secret door out of the fort was unguarded. With haste, the three of you escaped the fort and made your way to the monastery. The old general was still out cold from the last battle, and it wouldn’t be long until Gustuv picked up on their disappearance. For now, all they could do is put as much distance between the fort and them as possible.

Iona
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
The music room is as audacious as one would expect from a noble’s summer home. Various instruments were arranged along the far wall along with stands for sheet music. A white grand piano with gold trimmings lay in the corner illuminated by light from one of the many windows around the quite sizable space.
There were even a set of cushioned chairs and sofa set up facing the various instruments. As Kensington took a seat, Charlotte began to browse the array of musical instruments. Soon she settles upon flute with an engraving on the side. “That one was crafted by a famous craftsman from across the sea, Helrich Highbrine.” Kensington said with a small amount of pride “My older brother collected rare items like this. He keeps his more treasured collectables back home. But he left a few of them here in the summer home.”
“It looks wonderful” Charlotte said with a rosy smile. It was a far cry from her usual sour expression. “Would you mind if I played something for you?” She asked in a demure manner. Kensington merely nodded vehemently as he took a seat in one of the padded chairs. After taking a moment to get a feel for the instrument, Charlotte began her performance. What followed was a beautiful melody that unlike anything Iona had heard before. At the very least, her admission that she wanted to be a musician were genuine. Suddenly, the pitch changed and Iona and Kensington felt a strange heat come over themselves
Charisma Check
Charlotte: 3 + 15 = 18
Iona: 3 + 12 = 15
Kensington: 0 + 14 = 14
As Charlotte continued to play, Iona could feel her loins moisten. Her eyes were glued to Charlotte’s body as she continued to play. But Iona wasn’t the only one. The young noble was transfixed on the musician, as well as his … sizable erection straining against his pants.
Once she was finished, she gave the two of you a ‘surprised’ look. “Oh my, my song may have been a bit too much for you to handle.” She said putting down the flute, then lowering the top of her dress to reveal her perky breasts. “Do you want me to take care of you?”
