The flight through space was tumultuous one, what with the space battle between the ships still ongoing. The debris in the zero gravity field floating by had to be dodged, but Sigma had been trained properly for almost any unexpected situation. She maneuvered through the broken parts of ships, timing her thrusters to pulse at certain times to push herself away from one or another. With the rest of her team, she landed on the ship after their "spacewalk" with her weapon out, AR primed and ready to shred alien lifeforms apart. She looked around her team to mentally take a role call, hoping all of the essentials survived the spacewalk. She was pleasantly surprised when they did.
Some of her nondescript teammates cut a hole into the ship, and one by one, they began dropping in onto the scene. She was one of the first few, wanting to get in as quickly as possible to assess the situation, and wanting to get out of space and into a ship - no matter how hostile. AR raised, she scanned the area for danger, spotting none as the last of her teammates entered in. They pressed on, with Sigma relaxing a bit, tension bleeding away at the sign of no nearby threats. It's not good for a soldier to be so actively aware 24/7. Makes them paranoid, and while paranoia can be incredibly useful in the most dangerous of situations; it can stain you, and everything you do after will be as a result of your paranoia. And despite how the movies would have you think; that's not good.
Two loud noises rang out, and two of Sigma's comrades were already dead as the defenders came up. She was already moving behind cover at the sound of the first, rolling to crouch behind a wall. It happened so quickly that those two probably didn't even have a chance. Just like that, their lives were snuffed out... but that was war. No one's immortal on the battlefield, and people can die anytime. Looking at the corpses, she was reminded of that. The flashbang and subsequent charge of one of the AIs brought Sigma back into the fight. She heard someone's orders over the comm link, but Sigma already knew what she had to do. She peeked, keeping her body low as she shot past Pavor at any enemy away from the group, aiming for body shots as opposed to anything special. Hopefully their sudden aggressive response would serve to break the enemy's composure.
