Tik-Tik drops her weapon, still having her four energy pistols to rely on. She wasn't sure if they'd do much damage, but she could at least run and gun. Hoping to take out one more gun, she starts firing at the machine while booking it toward the controls. It was risky, but she still needed to turn the tide of battle as fast as possible. She just hoped she didn't get shot. Her exoskeleton may be decent armor, but it did very little to protect against energy fire.

Making your way towards the control panel you manage to lay down a barrage from your four pistols. The blast from one bounce off the mech entirely causing it no hamr. The blast from two manage to hit and damage another cannon slightly. The blast from the last pistol manages to hit the mark exactly and force the cannon out of its firing mechanism rendering it useless.

You narrowly dodge the thick barrage of return fire from the mech, but manage to make it to the console in time. You are unfamiliar with the bulk of the controls or how to operate the machine for the most part, but figure that surely something will work..right?..

Tik-Tik does the only thing she is trained to do in this situation. She starts pressing buttons randomly. She didn't need efficiency in her controls, not when chaos would serve just as well.

In your chaotic spree of button pressing you manage to trigger a number of different functions from the advanced ship. You manage to: raise, lower, then intensify the thermal shielding of the ship, activate the artificial gravity void while still in planetary orbit, and finally open the protected casing where the mech is drawing auxiliary power from. A well placed shot to the generator should greatly decrease the mechs attack speed, or at least force it to sacrifice shielding in order to maintain the attack speed. The only problem now would be making the shot in the now zero g fire zone.

The zero gravity may be an issue, but the Thri-Kreen bounty huntress still had use of her energy pistols. The shots themselves should fly straight as long as she can aim at her target. She's fairly certain that the guns have no kick back, but that may be because she simply didn't notice it until now. She readies her shots and let's loose a flurry of beams and lasers.

You fire several shots finding that the zero g offers a minimal kickback and the means to move around from it if needed. Of the burst three rounds hit the side of the casing, two the outer battery and one hits right between the core where the auxiliary batteries feed into the main system. With the secondary power compromised you notice that the mechanical beast takes much longer to fire now while maintaining its already weakened shields. At the current rate it will either have to risk overheating its weapons to try and end this or have its shield depleted and the suit vulnerable.

While overheating it's weapons would be ideal, it would require Evans to go all out to do so. Tik-Tik didn't feel like letting the cornered mouse go crazy if she could help it. Taking advantage of the zero gravity, she tossed one of the frag grenades she found earlier at the main weapon. With no downward arc, the grenade should be a direct hit. If her timing was right, this should allow the remaining drones to press the advantage.

The grenade moves forward in the zero g environment towards the mech. With the mech firing off constantly its angling was moving about constantly until the frag hit the edge of the suit. The grenade explodes sending shrapnel into the outer plating of the armor and along the barrel of the main cannon. The weapon seemed to be malfunctioning and prone to overload soon. The impending blast could send a fiery shock wave through the area blazing damage and sharp debris everywhere. A rather hazardous outcome if maneuvers weren't taken soon.

Tik-Tik realized her poor positioning when the cannon started to go haywire. She yelled for everyone to get to cover and tried to follow her own advice. Unfortunately, she was currently out in the open thanks to pressing the attack. Even worse was the fact that she had to flee in zero gravity. She flailed her limbs about, trying to swim to the nearest cover. Hopefully it would be something bolted in place, and not pushed back by the blast.
