"Shit," Smalls cursed under her breath as her salvo did nothing to the bats.

Of course the little bastards had to have barriers, she grumbled in her mind as she switched weapons systems to the beam machinegun, wanting to know how the little fuckers would like that.

Aside from the wasted salvo the plan was working, the two big critters were wounded, dazed and confused. The team had to strike to now, while the Breakers were still reeling and didn't know their firing positions, that surprise wouldn't last long.

"Fire at will," She shouted into the comms mic, "Waste the fuckers!"

She started to spray fire at the bats, leading her volleys to try and catch the bats as they swooped through the barrage.

Seeing that the initial bomb had done it's damage Maiza took aim, but had yet to fire. The girl already knew the power behind her shot and a direct hit to the damaged stalker or dome head should be more than enough to cripple it. "Shot is charged, get rid of the barriers and I can get a kill." she held onto the shot for as long as possible waiting for the rest of the squad to fire upon the foes to weaken their shields... She knew she had time to reposition her shot. As her squad fired she moved to postion to line up a shot that would put both the dome head and stalker within her line of sight. Before the charge could do any damage to her gun she would fire her charged shot. Hopefully it would provide a fruitful result.
Life has gotten so much more boring. Well I suppose it doesn't help if I say my only source of entertainment is YouTube and here. So yeah not much of interesting life going on.

Aya, Lucy & Jasmine (Jazz)

Aya uses Flame Assault Rockets against Prowler A & B (Splash)
Hit Roll: 98 + 10 (Tech App.) - 30 (Evasion)=78, Hit!
Damage: 6K, -2 Medium Missiles, -50 EP

Lucy Shoots Prowler B:
Hit Roll: 19 + 15 (Mark.) - 30 (WB Evasion) + 5 (Sights) = 9, Miss!

The rockets cause an explosion that envelops both Prowlers. But one manages keep moving towards the Quarry. Lucy attempts to gun him down but all she hits are trees. The Wolf like creature reaches the quarry and lets out the howl. At the same time Aya detonates the the explosives by the edge of the quarry.

At the northern end of the Quarry, the Bunker Crabs seem to dig into the earth and hunker down. While the pinchers move towards the source of the explosion. Meanwhile at the southern end of the Quarry move towards the injured Prowler's call. The Overmind seems to be waiting to see what it's followers will find.

Incoming enemies:
Prowler > 15 Paces Front
Pinchers > 20 Paces Side
Bunker Crabs > 25 Paces Side

Just as the battle begins. You hear a voice come though your comm. "Lieutenant! we saw that your team had encountered an Overmind. We're sending support ASAP. They should be arriving shortly. " On your radar you could see a transport ship approach.

About the ship waited Jasmine (Jazz) Reales in her Doll Frame. She was one of the latecomers to the organization and was waiting for assignment. She had only gotten a little rest before being called to combat. "Private Reales, I'm going to patch you through to Lieutenant Lynch. Just let me know where you want me to drop you.


Jessica, Hana, Maiza

Jessica Attacks Glowbats with Beam Machine Gun (Scatter Mode)
Hit Roll: 54 + 20 (Mark) + 10 (SKill) + 5 (Sight) - 10 (Evasion)= 79, Hit
Damage: 1.5K per shot, Glowbat defeated!

Maiza uses Charged Shot on Stalker
Hit Roll: 93 + 20 (Mark) + 10 (Skill) + 10 (Poor Evasion)= 130, Critical Hit
Damage: 30K, Stalker Defeated!

Hana unleashes the power of the launcher as it decimates the Dome Headed monster. The resulting blast even manages to engulf the Glow bats, destroying their barriers. Jessica and Maize follow suit gunning down their targets. When the dust settles, all that's left are nothing but World Breaker Corpses. "That went better then I though" said Malcolm said over the comm. If we timed these right, the other two Stalkers should be on there way to us." He said. Just as all three of you were preparing for the next wave. You feel something strange touch your mind:

Domehead 2 Uses Mental Scream (Need> 50% to Resist, Intelligence increases roll)
Jessica: 37 +25 (Helm) + 10 (Int) =72
Hana: 89 + 15 (Helm) + 15 (Int) =119
Maiza: 71 + 15 (Helm) + 25 (Int) = 111

All of you resist the screaming voice that enters your head. But you can't tell where it's originating from.

"That's how we fucking do it people," Roared Smalls through the comms. as saw the utter devastation of the World Breakers, "State of the fucking badass art."

Calming down, she turned her attentions to new task at hand, preparing the team for the next wave and this time the pricks would know something is up.

"Alright party people, let's switch to those alternate firing positions and get ready for the our next customers" She ordered through the comms as she was already moving her frame into it's next position. She doubted the WB had been able to get out a warning with how quickly their strike had been or even if the cretins could communicate at distance but she wasn't going to take the risk. This way the WB might know where the battle line was but not there exact position to hit.

Small's let a out a soft hiss of pain and she felt the ringing in her ears from the shrieking in her mind.

"Well that sucked," She started, "All units report in, status update, double check systems. Ranger, see if you can't find the prick that did that keeps tabs on it for later."

Powering up the drone, she sent it skyward as she settled into her new firing position and checked the feed, trying to see how far off the other two stalkers were.

Jazz glanced appreciatively at her Doll Frame as the transport flew her, stretching out each arm to look at its many devices and surprisingly light armor. She felt powerful, fast, ready to take down some giant ass monsters before they even knew where she was. The thought alone sent shivers down her spine, until she got the 'friendly' reminder of her true situation, a buzz killing voice letting her know that she was going in. Her arms fell back against her sides and with a sigh she responded, "Yeah, alright just uh," her words left her for a moment as she thought of her plan right off the top of her head, "...drop me off close-ish? Anywhere that I can see the enemy that is around, say, fifty paces. That ought to be good enough to kill, eh? You do that and I'll get told off by the tightwad that'll likely be my 'lieutenant'." Jazz's Doll Frame jolted into motion as she moved to the hatch and prepared herself for her new CO to yell at her, that's what military does right? Shout at their underlings to kill things. Yeah, she was sure that was it. 'Fucking World Breakers...'

Being patched into her new subordinate drew Aya out of the combat for just a second. Now how to do this...
"Hello darling~!
Aya sounded way more cheerful than she should at this moment, considering she was one soldier down and things were going to go to shit quickly. But at least the new help was a cute girl, judging by the file she was just given. She had just enough time to glance at the picture and her Doll's stats.
"Introductions will have to wait till later. Do you mind killing some of these for us? I'm a little slow and they're a little fast. Then we can have a nice ol' chat."

Aya moved forward just enough to launch her Wire Anchors at one of the approaching Pinchers. She wouldn't be able to get close, but this would help. At the same time, she launched two Micro Missiles at the approaching band of Breakers. Damn, she wanted to hit something SO BAD.

"Roger! Okay people, time to earn our keep. Sweep the area for that Dome Head. We don't know when the new attack will come." Malcolm shouted as his team scattered. Meanwhile the drone launched into the air (Low altitude) preparing for the next attack. On the feed, you could see the Stalker's approaching but the Glow Bats trailing them were now rushing ahead.

Connecting to her teams suits, Smalls shared the feed from the drone to the other two briefly to appraise them of the situation.

"Alright looks like we got a spanner in the works girls, if those bats get here first they're going to ruin the surprise party," Smalls voiced over the comms as she backed out of the fighting position, shutting the drones feed and recalling it back to her, "If they do I'll engage and displace to draw them away, you two stay concealed and wait for the big suckas, engage at your discretion but watch your firing lines, no friendly fucking, you got it?"

Moving her Doll to the right, she wanted to put more distance between her and Hanna so if she did have to fire first she wouldn't expose the other girl as she withdrew back to the port.

As the three of you begin to sweep up the remaining Prowler and Pinchers, the Bunker Crabs seem to get into position and start firing.

As the Pinchers move forward, You see hatches open on two of the three Bunker Crabs. Suddenly they fire beams of light in your direction, Lucy manages to dodge but Aya takes the blunt of the damage. Steam rolls from the openings as the creatures seem to try and cool down. But the third Crabs seems poised to attack.

Incoming enemies:
Pinchers > 10 Paces Side
Bunker Crabs > 25 Paces Side

The Overmind still hasn't moved but the other group of WBs have reached the site of the explosion. With the battle heating up, the pilot launches Jazz and lets her drop just between Aya and Lucy. "Sorry about the rough landing. But it looks like they need you in the thick of it." the pilot says.

Jessica & Group

Just before entering the killzone, the stalkers stop as the Glowbats move forward. Five start to move towards Maiza's location seemly trying to confirm her location. Another 10 Move towards Hana as they sense the energy from her Thermal Launcher. The last 5 seemed trained on you.

Just as your team is about to engage, you hear something over your Comm "Lieutenant Malcolm, I found the Dome Head, it's in the lighthouse west of the combat zone (30 Paces Away). It seems to be waiting for something. Wait! it's spotted me. I-I can't move. Requesting backup! Requestin..." Suddenly the call cut out. "Damn it!" Malcolm yelled. All Scouts move to the Lighthouse. Smalls! We'll try and deal with this Bastard. You focus on the Stalkers."

Maiza stays completely still as the Glow Bats still seem oblivious to her position. How ever, Hanna isn't as calm. Without hesitation, she fires her weapon again causing another explosion. It incinerates one of the bats but the rest remain unharmed as their barrier dissipates. With the explosion, the stalkers turn their attention to the young pilot.

"Goddamnit FNG I said wait for the Stalkers," Smalls roared as she hurriedly corrected her position.

Bringing up her weapon list she tried to track and lock as many of the bats as she could before opening up with everything she and the drone had. She guessed the smaller rockets would be just as ineffective as last time but she was more after shock and awe this time, confuse the WBs into thinking there was more than just one doll at her location by the weight of fire and thus lure them here. At the back of her mind, Smalls knew she had to wind this up fast to help the scouts.
