A creaking wooden boat would ferry most from the mainland to the island, it would be raining and most would be drenched in it. Coming up on the shore line the boat slammed into shore, the ferryman would get out and tug the boat up on shore with a few of his crew. Allowing the occupants to leave the boat via worn, long plank of wood, bouncing up and down with each step on its feeble stature; as got off it was still raining hard and would be quick to catch a cold if they didn’t find shelter. The ferryman on the other hand, headed back after all the passengers had left, his disgruntled facial expression showing that the storms were often this hard near the mist. The shore would be littered with seaweed and brown crabs as they would skitter along the sand; nipping at any unfortunate enough to get near enough to piss them off.

Upon reaching the mainland it would be a dark blue-ish green affair to the grass. Animals few and far between as they hid during the thunderstorm, lightning cracked as it split a tree and lit it ablaze before it quickly submitted to the oppressive rain. The only fire surviving would be an orange glow off in the distance, a couple of fish that had been skinned lay spit roasting over the fire. A couple of sticks stuck in the ground help up a wicker hat to keep the fire from dying out from the relentless attacks of cold water. You notice yourself and a few other ninja have reached this same camp.

It’s a wide open plain of about thirty feet by width and length. Surrounded by the haunting visage of some butchered trees with nothing to speak of on their branches, meanwhile others are lush and vibrant with the same dark blue-ish green hue as the grass. The grass would be mushy and hard to keep a foot hold on, as you always felt yourself sinking with every step.

If there was anything she hated, it'd be rain heavy enough to drench her clothes in mere seconds. The next best thing she hated was getting sick because of it. With a mood as foul as the weather she jumped off the boat, glad to be out of that leaking bathtub and back on dry land. Or as dry as this land surrogate might be. Scoffing internally and with a frown almost big enough to keep the rain of of her eyes, she sped to the only source of light on this blasted coast. Naturally as a ninja (or shinobi in her case) dealing with the weather and in turn not catching a cold would be a breeze- simply using some chakra to heat her body, shield her from the rain etc. was kindergarten level after all. But she was Chiyoko after all, and Chiyoko had a mind of her own; and before leaving she decided it would be best to hide her presence to other ninja as best she could, which meant hiding her aura. But then again, she didn't exactly check the weather forecast either, something she regretted quite a bit by now. But it was already too late as it was, and so she sped to the camp hoping for some shelter, warmth and possibly a rendez-vous with whoever she was meant to meet here. Her current sate- soaked to the bone and sniffing uncontrollably- wasn't exactly the one she wanted to give as a first impression, but to be quite honest it wasn't like she needed to impress anyone too much. She wanted to get this farce of a mission over with, after which she could return home. Just out of this depressing rain.

Takeshi Juro in the meantime was not all too bothered by the rainfalls. It was mostly because his blood control allowed him to effectively regulate his body temperature simply by speeding up blood flow. Besides, when one is from the Village of the Mists themselves you tend to have a lot of water to contend with so getting wet seemed rather trivial. Seated upon the log he was currently maintaining the fire at the camp awaiting the rest of those involved with this mission. Calm eyes peered deep into the flames remembering what he was here for and most importantly what he needed to prove to himself and his clan. Testing to see if the fish were completely cooked through he takes up a kunai and cuts into it slightly to see if there was any pink remaining. His head looks up when he notes another person is coming into the camp. As such he wondered whom it could be.

As Takeshi started eating a ninja looking to be a junin appeared, the headband on her head was of the hidden mist, the one around her neck was sound, and her headband around her left shoulder was disgraced mist. "So do you always take what isn't yours when it’s obviously someone else's camp?" She said walking up from behind Chiyoko, having not even made a sound on approach. She stood about 6' 2" with a fairly slim build. (See my sheet for the rest of the appearance) She sat down next to Chiyoko and glared at Takeshi. The rain hadn’t stopped pouring and the junin seemed rather soaked as well, her hair shined as it was freshly wet. The storm increased in ferocity as it started to strike with lightning, the rain beginning to beat harder upon the ninja’s skin as it intensified. The strange junin pulled out an umbrella and unfurled it to stature covering Chiyoko and herself.

The first thing Chiyoko noticed about the camp was the solemn figure of a shinobi sitting in front of the fire. His mouth and most of his face was covered up, but the look he gave him send chills up Chiyoko's spine. Here she was, drenched to the bone and sniveling about, but it was the sight of this guy that really made her feel cold inside. But worse was his aura- dark red and about as volatile as a keg of gunpowder in a burning oil depot. Just looking at him felt like getting a sword pressed up to her throat, and that was without him even drawing a blade. You can imagine her reaction when he drew a kunai to prod the fish- or perhaps that was what he wanted her to think? Before she realized she had jumped back, away from him. With a small cough she regained her composure and sat down, her face a mask which showed no emotion.
It was at that point, that a sudden lack of rain made her look up. "hah..." She exhaled, seeing a shower of water cascade down all around her- and around someone else!
Once again she almost jumped up, but this time she barely controlled herself.

She eyed the newcomer- most importantly her many headbands. She was of the hidden mist, or perhaps reinstated hidden mist? Or perhaps the girl had taken the untainted headband of a hidden mist victim; most probably the one send to hunt her down? Whatever the case, she doubted the girl had much sense of loyalty, in neither of the two cases. But if that was so, where did the sound headband come from...? If anything, Chiyoko realized she was in the company of two very dangerous ninja; most likely as dangerous to their foes as to their teammates. She would have to play cautious until she had a chance to scout their intentions a bit better.

"Uchiha" She introduced herself, slowly nodding at the new girl in thanks, "Chiyoko Uchiha"

"Only when I am hungry after being rained upon for quite some time." Besides there was more then just a single fish. His statements were cold and swift as Chiyoko had reasoned. Much like the Kunai held in his hands. However then his hand extends to the fellow kuinochi that was seated. Offering her the food. "It looks very much properly cooked." He wondered if there were any other ninja that were coming or if this was all of them. His eyes looks into the flames without concerns as he waited patiently as this deadly mission was being gathered. The blood increased as the rains continues to pelt him then he looked up as the flash of lightning and the crash of thunder drew him away from the dancing flames.

"How gracious of you to offer my cooked fish to me." She rolled her eyes as she took it and as quickly as she did, it was eaten. She turned to the girl introducing herself, "Motoko Velono, I was sent by the mist to help you investigate. If you ask me, I just think they don't want you spying anywhere they don't want you to." She said as she stood and patted down her two fanny packs, to make sure she had her gear. "Plus if anything goes bad I don't exactly think they'll care if I die."

"I wouldn't want myself spying something others wouldn't want me to see either, so I'm glad that makes at least two of us" Chiyoko said a bit sheepishly, rather taken aback by the girl's straightforward attitude. At the moment her mind was simply buzzing with questions about the girl, like where her allegiance truly lied with all those flaunted headbands or why her village cares so little about her well-being, but for now she stayed silent. She still had half a mind to keep the status quo, but nevertheless she couldn't help but point out that which was bothering her.
"Velono motoko you say..? That's an interesting name... Motoko sounds quite like mine, but Velono; is that Latin?"

Chiyoko tilted her head in question at Velono- or was it Motoko? Which was her Family name? She felt quite confused and averted her eyes. She couldn't look into the fire, where the guy might see her emotions laid bare, and so opted to instead look away from the light to mask how she felt. She didn't want to make the girl feel like she didn't want to hear the answer however, and thus forced herself to mutter as she stared off into the distance; "I've never been able to learn any other language then what I speak, but I've always wanted to..."

"You're welcome" His eyes kept upon Motoko as she continued to be rather venomous but he didn't care about that. He sat there in silence just listening to what was going on around him. The two of them speaking to ear other just learning about each other like this was something that required social activity when they really should be silent. His eyes glance towards the crackling fire and then to the pitter patter of the rain. Something was bothering Juro as well but for now he couldn't pin it down. Taking up a second fish, this time however he would actually bite down into it. His eyes however were affixed upon the tree lines. Taking the pointed end of the kabob he would pierce the wrist just enough to draw his own blood which began to bleed down into his bandages. All the while he took another bite so as not to arouse suspicion. It might look like he was just careless and more occupied with chewing the fish he had bitten into. "And your fish is quite the treat."

“No, my name isn't Latin and my name is Motoko Velono. I don’t care much for the mist’s secrets because I haven’t been with the mist long enough and I’m still holding a grudge or two.

Motoko then looked to Juro, “Thank you, but I would be careful with bleeding all over the place. I’d hate for some plant’s poison spores to get in that cut.” She said as she smirked as she thought he accidentally stabbed himself. “And I would like to be able to re-use those if you don’t mind.”

Motoko looked back to Chiyoko. “So why did you guys agree to go on this suicide mission.” Motoko said joking around but trying to freak them out a bit for fun. She didn’t know much about what was causing the dark clouds, but for all she knew it could be just an elaborate plan to get her blackmailed. She would have to keep an eye out, especially on her fellow ninja. No telling what they've been told to do.

“So, do you guys want to head out? Since this storm I haven’t seen much of a change in whether, so I don’t see this rain letting up.” Motoko stood up with the umbrella and put it away, letting the cold rain hit her skin with a bit of a shiver. “I've been told to check out the nearby docks, fisherman are reporting strange problems.”

Chiyoko's eyes grew wide. There were only two explanations she could think of- either this new girl was a mind reader or she was as adequate as Chiyoko herself in sensing auras and reading how the new guy (who had yet to give his name she just realized) was bleeding chakra from his wrist. With a shudder Chiyoko made a mental note that whatever power he had was probably centered around water control, or blood control in particular. No wonder he seemed so dangerous- such arts were considered forbidden by most. How troubling her thoughts might be, even more troubling was the fact that Motoko continued to make rather clear-cut guesses about Chiyoko's thought. Thoughts she was sure she didn't express out loud. Right? Again a shiver ran down her spine, and once more she told herself to tread carefully. A mind reader and a blood user? 'My kingdom for some easy to read grunts!' she grumbled internally, but kept her face neutral. Ice. She had be be cold and serene as ice should she want to survive in this climate.

Talking about climate, she blinked and looked up when the rain fell down on her once more. Motoko had put away the umbrella and looked at them both expectantly. Had she asked something? Oh, right.
"Why I agreed? I didn't have much say in it, really" She answered. "Old Hag Tsunade's tactic of sending a medic along with every ninja unit to increase their survivability has been adopted by many other villages, including the one who sent me. Though there's a big chance my mother had a hand in it, despite telling me I've been 'sitting on my ass and getting fat' for years she was suspiciously quiet of late."

She got up, taking a second to focus on her body control to cope with the heavy rain, before looking at the new guy expectantly. "Lets go, Stranger. No use sitting here eating fish all day; we wouldn't want to get fat after all, right?"

He rose to his feet as they seemed to finally begin to get underway. His hand which was still bleeding a touch into the bandages would be held to his chest. "Juro" He said simply enough, revealing his own name. Indeed for anyone capable of perceiving chakra they would notice it was impregnated in his blood and was unconsciously being controlled by the male ninja. Moving on over to the two of them he would shake his head. "I simply was chosen for my skills. No more, no less" His blood continued to flow quickly because of his desires to keep warm. Eventually the blood loss stopped at the wrist but his bandages had a small amount of blood in them now. He wasn't viewing this as a suicide mission but simply another opportunity to prove himself.

Motoko sighed, "I was hoping for more info but whatever, let's head out."

As you come upon the fishing docks it is a large bridge almost, along the sea with several ships coming and going. The water is a shining blue and so near to the water it is a bit foggy. The fisherman look a bit tired, like they haven't been sleeping well. They were managing nets and even some were bargaining more fish.

"Before you ask, no I didn't buy the fish, I caught my own." Motoko said a bit aggravated as they weren't selling fish last time she was here. She hated having to explain herself usually, in all circumstances.

Motoko then gripped a Kunai from her pack and threw it at Chiyoko, her eyes in a glare. Her eyes seeming distant as she looked like she was staring right through the girl. The kunai cruised close to Chiyoko's face and headed past her neck on the left if it was uninterrupted.

As the small fishing boat made its way across the swelling seas, Hibiki Hayashi slowly rocked from side to side as she sat on the prow, collecting rainwater in cupped hands until it threatened to overflow, then pouring it off the side into the river and repeating the process. Now and then, she would tilt her head upwards to let the rain fall onto her face, blinking away the drops that fell into her eyes.

Kitten, how can you stand the rain? Hibiki’s tenant grumbled, not sharing her interest in the falling water. As my host, such a thing is insulting.

I don’t like getting wet, but imagine all of those drops in the sky, falling from clouds, Matatabi-sama. Like sheets of water flowing across each other. The Kumo Jinchuuriki of the Two Tails had recently earned the permission to loosen the seal just enough to speak freely with Matatabi, and had spent much of the past few weeks chattering with her about countless subjects. While this allowed her Bijuu to give Hibiki more power, Matatabi had withheld it.

Hm. Humans have interesting imaginations.

Hibiki frowned, purple eyes distant. Matatabi-sama?

I did tell you I would not hold your hand.

The Kumo kunoichi sighed through her mask, head bowing in defeat as the boat drifted onwards. Helpful as Matatabi was by granting her large chakra reserves and a second chakra nature, she never gave her an answer to questions that she felt could be unraveled by Hibiki herself, and flatly refused to give her any other powers for now besides an improved sense of smell and flexibility.

As the boat reached the fishing docks, Hibiki stepped onto the gloomy island, hair and clothing plastered to her dark skin while keeping a tight lid on her chakra suppression. Her standard Lightning Clone followed her off the boat, henged into a close female friend of hers from Kumo, a sandy-haired, green-eyed Chunin by the name of Naoko Abe. Naoko wore the standard Kumo Chunin outfit, and had a similar body type as her friend, both being quite slender. Higher level shinobi would tend to target the one who did not look like her, as they would expect it to either be her in disguise or as an effort to distract the potentially more powerful Jinchuuriki.

"There." Her Lightning Clone muttered, looking at the small group further down the docks.

"With the one who just threw a kunai at her team member?" Hibiki asked, heading towards them regardless, waving an arm as she neared to get their attention.

"S-sorry..." Chiyoko muttered, her face only inches away from Juro. She was lying on top of him, rather awkwardly she might note, and her face was all a-fluster. Quickly she jumped off him and patted down her clothing to regain her composure, but trying to ignore what just happened would be futile.

Out of nowhere, the girl who seemed so nice had thrown a lethally sharp kunai at her neck- and the only thing Chiyoko's reflexes allowed her to do (besides squeaking in surprise) was jumping to the side. The side where Juro was standing and, probably as surprised as she was, he was too late to catch her with his arms. A good thing his body was soft- no, no she wasn't thinking that. Not at all. He was dangerous after all!

With a growl she snapped towards Motoko and prodded her in the chest. "What do you think you're doing! You could've killed me! You nutter! Hasn't your mother ever taught you that throwing lethal objects at people is not permitted? Not permitted! Do that again and I wont let you bite me, not even if you begged me for it! Hmph! Oh, who's that?" She soon trailed off, looking past Motoko and seeing the two girls approaching, one of them waiving an arm. "Reinforcements? More girls?" She shot a quick look at Juro, hissing "Lucky you~" Before waving back at the girls.

Juro had very little time to comprehend that Chiyoko leapt into him. He landed upon his back in the soaked ground with her now atop of him in a rather exposing position. It was perhaps giving heavy innuendo and quite possibly a pleasant view of her. His eyes appraisingly looked over her as she apologized for her sudden display. She also blushed and he figured to repay her for that one later. All the same he looked less imposing with dirt on his back if one could imagine. As she chewed out Motoko he tried to remove most of the dirt that stained his clothes for the moment before he notes the two other women approaching. One was waving to them and then glanced back to Chiyoko for the moment when she says he's lucky. "Apparently I am." He said in deadpan retort. "Never realized that Kuniochi were so… supple." He said just to try and make her cheeks turn red again.

Now why did Motoko throw the kunai in such a direction…? His eyes glanced over in the direction for the moment to wonder a touch about it. Perhaps quiet investigation of the surroundings would reveal more. Which he did with a calm scan of his eyes quietly ignoring the chatter that went on or potential retorts from Chiyoko about his words. He would step away slightly from the small mass of people just seeing just where the kunai had landed letting his eyes absorb as much as he could in the surroundings about it. Juro took this seriously just in case she had seen some sign of the enemy in this case.

Motoko glared at Chiyoko as she walked past Juro and her as she couldn't stand what they didn't notice. But then again, she was used to being blamed for things she didn't do. Motoko walked past them and ducked down to the grass and picked up her kunai and a shuriken. The others could wonder how the shuriken got there but wouldn't have to wonder for long as the fog cleared a little to reveal a shadowy figure, it looked human for the most part. A woman if they looked hard enough, but something was off; she looked almost like she was... dead.

Her headband was mist and about the body stature of 5' 4" and she was wearing a brown ninja vest with black draping clothing over the rest of her. Like someone took a black kimono and put a ninja vest over it for combat right away. She stood on top of a ship housing's roof, staring eerily at the ninja.

A bit more of what she looks like

Eyes flickering between the deflected projectile, the uncomfortable interactions between what were almost certainly the rest of her team, and the possibly hostile stranger on the rooftop (Throwing a single shuriken or kunai that hadn't been augmented with any sort of elemental chakra or something special at another ninja was hardly grounds for an attack. It could mean anything from a casual declaration of hostile intent to a friendly greeting.), Hibiki and Naoko tensed minutely, the latter palming a kunai herself while the original cocked her head to the side, curious.

The Jinchuuriki's nose twitched as she tried and failed to catch any sort of useful scent. Her sense of smell wasn't half as good as those Konoha Inuzukas, but it was still quite sensitive. Bleh, all of this fish and tar is throwing me off. I can't smell anything unusual.

She opted for the direct approach. Most ninja were chatty enough, even if only to boast about how doomed the opposition were. Perhaps this one would give away something. "Hey!" Hibiki called, stretching out interlaced hands in the appearance of a relaxed stretch. "Need something?"

"Psh, maybe shinobi are simply brutish apes who- hey, don't just walk away from me!" Chiyoko replied to Juro, before snapping at Motoko who simply ignored her and walked off. Honestly, the attitude of people these days! First she was all 'under my umbrella' and now she was more like 'throw kunai at your face without even saying sorry'. Gees!

She spun in place, meeting Hibiki with a dashing smile. She wouldn't let Motoko ruin the mood, or let Juro get all... 'I'm better because I'm a guy' on her. Not that he was so bad until now, but that could change easily. Hoping for a safe having in this maelstrom of hastily assumed stereotypes she slid over to Hibiki and Naoko, seeing the relaxed stretch as something as ordinary- something she could count on. 'This girl should be alright' Chiyoko thought, or wished more like, and patted on her chest as an introduction. "My name's Chiyoko, and this grumpy lout is Juro. The girl over there is called Motoko" She explained, before whispering secretively "But she's a bit... fragile."

She looked at the pair a bit more closely, and quickly made the assumption that Naoko was the strong but silent type. Which automatically made Hibiki the smart talkative one, or smart-ish and talkative-ish. Perfect.
"Are you guys here to join us do whatever we were sent here for? Some evil eradication, darkness destruction and what have you? I honestly thought the worst of them were killed during the Great War but then again, the perfect hide out to hide your... evilness would be in a land with this constant dreary weather am I right?"

She spun around again to see the reactions of the others and, by doing so, noticed Motoko standing with both a kunai and shuriken in hand- and whats more, standing face to face with one of the most depressed looking woman Chiyoko had ever seen. And malnourished. And under dressed. She whistled- what was up with everyone today? Would she ever meet someone normal again?

So he makes a tiny quip of agreement that perhaps he was lucky, tries to compliment her and he gets called a lout and a brutish ape for his trouble. Still he was introduced but he had no time for it. And apparently, Motoko was under the impression that everyone but her was competent at being ninja. Especially how she automatically assumed that everyone was oblivious to the reason why she threw a kunai. Sure he couldn't have seen the shuriken but the only reason he could think of was that she was trying to intercept someone or in this case something.

Juro's eyes fell upon a rather shady looking woman whom looked as though she was declaring intentions with her shuriken throw. However he doesn't jump the gun or make a hostile move not just yet. Instead what he does is quietly observe the near dead or completely dead woman. He wanted to check and see if there was any blood within what he saw. Focusing chakra into the back of his eyes, he is given clarity as he senses the beating rhythm of heartbeats and blood flow… or lack thereof. No gestures save for a tried and true bloodline, he could sense the blood flowing around him or lack thereof. This was how he intended to tell whether or not this woman in black was actually dead or alive or something without blood. Juro was already considering possibilities for attack and defense, just in case.
