In the future please capitalize words in your thread title, and ask questions in full, complete, properly punctuated sentances.

Guess it's time for another quick update.

--------------------------------------------------
Update as of July 18 - 2011 @ 4:17 AM ET;
-------------------------------------------------

-The plot has been finalized;
-->Includes areas beyond the scope of the original Legend of Krystal
-Soundtracks have been Completed
-->One set by Ebonizza
-->One set by Z-fied
-Backgrounds Completed
-->Most of the backgrounds for the krystal area have been completed, however since the game will take place beyond the original scope of the game more will need to be drawn, however no plans to approach ronpepper (previous background designer) until substantial work has been done.
-Programming
-->So far just the framework, exp system, etc. Al is still waiting for more models.
-Sketches
-->You can see this for yourself in Mal's thread.
-Models
--> One fully articulated, multi part, multi sound, multi expressional krystal. The shading is pretty bad ass I might add.
--> Fox is currently in the que.
------------------------------------------
ETA: It will get done as it gets done
-It takes time to make games, especially with time differences, real life etc. Where as it takes five minutes to lurk and fap, it takes substantially longer to make the games so patience is required. We will update you more as things go on.
------------------------------------------

Currently KatsuO_O, the model maker, is waiting on Malcanthet for further guidance on the fox sprite, however it should be noted that Malcanthet is having some personal life issues and will probably not be back for a bit. Our best of wishes go to her.

...Quick question, I suck at digital animating/drawing, however when it comes to sketching with a pencil or u know, irl stuff, I would say im decent enough to be able to do the "names" for you guys. I used to be a chink manga assistant you see.

Although a little late, considering how the idea only struck me, but do you guys need some assistance with these sorta things? if its with a pencil the only thing i cant draw is what i cant imagine.

Ehhh, I'm not exactly doing nothing, theres stuff sill in progress that doesn't require the models. I've just finished some stuff that I'm reluctant to share without authorization, but now I'll be moving onto dialogues, dynamic dialogue box sizes and talking in general.

As for the sketching, I'll let the art fellows answer that.

Because I'm getting pissed off with lack of progress on the art end of things, anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute IF AND ONLY IF we can try and get the sketches consistant with one style. Krystal is basically done, you all have seen what she looks like. I think Kat for the most part can take a sketch and tweak it to fit the style Krystal is in. So if you all want to try and submit character model sheets go ahead, just look at what's been done both by Kat and Mal in the other thread and try to match that style. I'll let Kat decide if he can or can't use what he's given to work with.

Just so you know trunks since I think you missed our posts, Mal is in the hospital, hence the "lack of progress" Give her time to recover and come back.

All I heard was she had personal issues not what specifically happened. My post still stands, I want to see if we HAVE to have only one person doing sketches or if kal can modify things to fit one style. Let's face it, we need all the help we can get.

No worries mate, soon I will be done with the programming bits and start helping out with the art. I could use a bit of practice after all this time.
I'm not putting any deadlines or such, but for everything I've planned to add so far, I can probably finish by tommorow's afternoon.

Thanks for the update, everyone. I know it seems like we're impatient and ungrateful at times, but we really do appreciate all that you're doing

I think you guys should put deadlines on yourselves, that way you wouldn't take so long and try to complete the work on time.

I think the current problem is that even if there was a deadline it would be impossible to meet it for all members are only known to each other VIRTUALLY. Which means itll be impossible to control the real life factor.

Plus the fact if we had deadlines, what would happen if we broke them? Fire us from a game that we're all working on for free? That's kind of difficult to imagine.

... Besides, I work better without deadlines, I just plan out what I'm going to do an hour before.

Why rush, it have only been about two months since the restart. As Thaedael said Mal have been having some problems lately and that means that we could have one or two more models done by now but no i dont blame her, I blame the assholes. Just because we havent worked on the models it doesnt mean other things have been worked on, Alcander have been doing a really good job with the programing lately and as long as there is anyone working it will get done.

We had a deadline but as 8749 said, life is in the way.

Oh yeah, Katsu is really good at giving me work to do, though that means might not be able to work on the artwork for a while. Understanding what situation we are in now makes me consider temporary objects more seriously.
Luckily I don't have a life so I have plenty of time to work on the game ;)

I'm keepin an eye on things every now and then so if you need to enlist my help again for a few backgrounds that may be doable sometime down the line. Just sayin'.

Well we never did do the cave or the inside of the temple rooms, so those are still on the list if you wanna fiddle around with them, you're always a welcomed member to the team.

Ron, it would be amazing to have you back on the team again. As Trunks already mentioned, there is still backgrounds that we need, even for the first alpha release and i dont know who else could do those backgrounds. This is bringing up a hard decision for us, should we keep the backgrounds you made and try to find someone who can make the missing ones in a similar style or should we just let someone do all of them and we dont use your backgrounds. I know how much work you put in to the backgrounds so i dont think it is fair if they actualy not get used but at the same time i dont want to mix background styles which makes the game looks messy so it would mean so much if you could help us again.
